Looks like you don’t need this as your primary source of income. I say keep the name the same. Don’t sell out! Haha / The channel will grow in time. Work on the titles being more catchy. “Driving par 4” “long putt” that type of thing to get in more related videos. Professional quality video work and the green will only get better year after year. Congrats
I agree Kam. I think click bait titles are the way to go.. like this “ TIGER WOODS would probably love this hole “ lol. Awesome channel though guys. I just found it 13 minutes ago. I’ll definitely share it around with all my golf buddies.
My enjoyment in your channel is watching the growth of your backyard project. The ups, downs, and learning of what it takes to actually play golf is the best. As an older viewer it like a throwback of an American dream coming to life with planning, guts, and a great passion to see something finished. You have my respect sir.
This is too cool, would love to hav this in my backyard….couple suggestions..I see you hav 7 tee boxes, I think you hav room for maybe 2 more to make a 9 hole course, then what you could do is cut another hole on your green with a diff colored flag and play front 9 to original hole then back 9 to the new hole and you hav an 18 hole course…..and you can even mix it up like hav the odd number holes to one pin, even number to other pin……. Then mix up order of holes to hav diff yardages also, so much you could do here at Spud Run…..good luck and good golfing
Just found your channel, watched most episodes. Fantastic what you are creating on your property, have done similar build on much smaller scale. I live in the Denver area so environment couldn't be much different. We have no rain and shit soil, but turf disease and pest problems aren't as prevalent in dry climate. Building a relationship with a maintenance department at a local golf course is priceless. Beer donations go a long way towards turf knowledge, blade sharpening, equipment loaning, etc. I would mow the green in 2 or 4 different directions. I would also shape some mounding around your green and add that sand bunker to make the green complex more interesting. You certainly have the skills and equipment to do that! Keep up the great work on the course and your RUclips channel!!!
Looks amazing having you own course, a single hole would be magic.... couple more years until its Augusta standard but you can see it getting there... 2 or 3 pins on the green wouldn't hurt to vary the putting up. Legends.
LOVE IT BRO! Need to grab a shot tracer to follow all the ball flights, it’s not very expensive and comes in handy to show your bro’s shot line heading straight into the woods! ALSO, we’d all love a drunk course Vlog at other courses for when you guys wana play 18!
Man the commentary by all these guys is fkn awesome. Reminds me of the country boys in Mississippi when I used to live there, even though these guys are in Ohio lol. Great video.
I think you would have enjoyed the courses I’ve played while in the USCG. From a dust bowl with a piece of artificial turf you carry to hit from in GITMO Cuba to a crazy course in Cuacao. I’m truly enjoying your adventure. Thank for the dedication you have to bring Spud Run to my home.
Love this channel. Saw this last night and today. When is the next tournament? An open? If so, how much? I play about a 100 rds a year or more, this one would be so cool. Best of luck with your future projects!
It’s incredible what you have created there, really nice work. Enjoying it with the guys will make it all worth while
As always, thanks for tuning in.

Love the effort you put into this hole! The shenanigans with the buddies seems like a blast. Keep up the great work on the videos as always.
Appreciate it.
Golf is such a great sport , love it
This is great! I'm down the road from you in Waverly. I am trying to get a green to grow in my back yard.
Heck yea.
Awesome vid. The course is looking good.
👍
Course is looking great, good to see a competition on it.
Nice drive brother. I'm a greenskeeper with a turf degree. Your videos are awesome
Good deal. Looks like you’re catching up on videos. That’s awesome!
FairPlay to you for making this one hole course
I’m loving it dude
You guys are an inspiration.
Appreciate that buddy.
Looks like, other than losing on your home track, you are enjoying life. I love the course!!
For sure!
@@SpudRunGolf let me know when you have an open tee time!

We do have the ability and space to add tee boxes and greens, but it’s all about finding the time. Maybe one day, haha

Thanks for the comment. A lot of people like the sand trap idea. Maybe I’ll go ahead and do that this winter.
"Thats my partner b*tches!" Love this, absolutely love this. This is the dream I'm saving up for, my own golf hole and getting buzzed with the boys.
Hell yea brother!
Looks like fun 🤩

New sub. Looks amazing. That is living the dream right there.
Awesome Gary, thanks for supporting our channel.
I just want to bring my two man deer camp team down and pay y’all.
Our deer here are better than the golf course! Let’s talk next year.
Definitely making a course at my next house. I can’t wait.
That’s what I’m talking about! Appreciate the comment.
all around nice chipping on display.

Our next video I’m going to try it. I have the app but it never seems to work correctly. I could probably hook you up on your last idea!
Course is looking great
Thanks Will.
Love the videos. Ball tracer would be awesome for videos like this.
I’ll try. I have the app but it never works for me.

I’m so happy I found this channel. Legendary, glad to say I’m here at the start.

Thanks bub.
loving it bro keep it up
A zebra putter lmao in the Hacker Open
Hell yea!
The Spud Run Open ⛳
Now you've done it, I think you should look into shot tracers. 😳
I have a cheap shot tracer app. It’s a pain in the rear end, haha
you should have multiple holes in the green and move the flag to change the pin location on each hole
That sounds like a lot of work.
Not at all, after you putt out move the flag to a diff cup position, then you hav a diff yardage hole Easy. Just be creative
"Covid rules" lol
Hahaha just saw the hashtag in title. Stephen definitely needs your help!!!!
One of these days he will see my hashtags
My first rule would be “ Nothing is good … EVERYTHING has to be putted out.
Easy there buddy. I’ll miss those short ones!
I don’t recommend burning in stripes on the green. Switching up mowing directions will give u better quality of cut. Sorry to hear about the bugs
Thanks for the input.
when we play a scramble a single guy would get two shots and he takes his best shot
instead of flipping a coin to go to Augusta i wouldve done a 3 hole match... best man wins!
My buddies voted against that. They said that wasn’t fair to the other guy.
@@SpudRunGolf thats what they make the handicap system for. lol
Do you get a harsh winter where you are at?
It gets cold, ground can freeze for a month or so. Middle November to March is typically too cold to play.
@@SpudRunGolf got any plans for the winter?
@@JTM2000 I’ll treat for snow mold, that’s about it.
@@SpudRunGolf keep up the good work, I love it man

Watching from Oxfordshire England. Would love to play a round there.
Great video. Didn’t look like there was any wind. Hit the green with a blower! too perfect for them leaves to be laying on it!
I blew it off an hour before we teed off. I made a video on the preparations that same day.
Man the commentary by all these guys is fkn awesome.

Ole Turpentine found the channel! Oh boy
Why’s he gotta be the “left handed guy” were the same, no need to call em out like that 😂😂😂
Haha. Sometimes I play golf left handed.

Are you using a Ram Zebra putter?!
Yes! I love that thing. Needs a new grip though.
@@SpudRunGolf I use the same putter! Been using it since I was a teenager. Love it! Never been able to find a putter with better balancing.
I can't wait to see the offseason prep that is done and how it comes out on the other side. The course looks great and I'm excited to watch it grow!
Me too brother.
Wow. That's the way to play golf. Fun and beer. Cool.
It was a blast.
Par five tee shot looks mint. Really brings a new element to the course.
It needs some work on the landing area, but it’s a make or break hole!
Man what a dream to have your golf hole and to have your pals over to play.
I’m very lucky
Add a second green on the other end and you can play the hole going backwards too
It’s been discussed but it’ll have to wait til I can retire.
