- This is a disassembly video on the new Beretta APX 9MM pistol. There are some videos going around with people saying that it is difficult to take down this weapon.
My video shows you just how simple it is!
RUclips needs more of these videos. No fluff, no crap, just a concise answer. Thank you
when i look at disassembly videos when I purchase a gun I look at the length of the video. when I start seeing 8-10 minutes I know these are guys either don't know what they are doing or like to hear themselves talk. Thanks for this video I bought this as an off duty/concealed carry gun last night. after watching this, the baretta is literally the easiest gun to take apart I have ever had.
holy cr@p. I was fighting with getting the slide off off my new APX A1. Five seconds of watching your video and viola! My slide is off. Thank you!
Glade my video helped!!
Glad you did this. I really can't believe how difficult a couple of RUclips reviewers made the breakdown of the APX seem.
I agree. What makes it even worse is that you take apart the Beretta 92 the exact same way as the APX and I've seen some of those RUclipsrs disassemble a Beretta 92 before. You just have to disengage the striker by pulling the trigger or pressing the button after moving the slide back a little as an additional step before you start.
I was having trouble field stripping mine and it was long overdue for its cleaning. I've had nerve damage in my right hand and taking it down the way others say is either impossible or extremely difficult. Your short and informative video took care of that issue. Thank you for taking time to make and post and not put a lot of useless talk in it
Glade I could help!!
The only negatives I ever hear about this gun is the disassembly, and I'm glad I didn't let that deter me from my decision of buying it. This is really simple!
I didn't either, but found out afterwards that the aftermarket support is lacking.
This might be the greatest DIY video on Firearms I’ve ever seen. You just made the other guys that have a how to video with this pistol look like Simple Jack.
Who would thumbs down this video?
Thank you for this video!
Wow, that’s the best shortcut I’ve seen in a while. Now to press that that stiff button is another issue 😆
Nice and to the point - now my APX is clean, thanks.
Thank you so much I've been trying to clean it after leaving it in a storage unit for 3 months
Im pretty well versed in firearms but was unable to get mine apart even reading the manual. The one thing you mention that did it, was pushing on the left side of the frame in front of the takedown lever whiel applying pressure on the button part of the lever from the right. thanks for the tip
You’re welcome!
Thank you brotha, I think the other RUclipsrs, had a small caliber in their pants not their gun, regardless, thanks for the clarification
i'm so surprised at how eazy this was. thank you so much for that
Just got one of these bad bois, thanks for the simple explanation
Very helpful, thanks
Hey, it works! I was having a hard time following the instructions :-) Thanks.
Thank you bro. Great video, manual says nothing about using the trigger to bring slide forward
Just hot my first APX. The first takedown was a mutha. There was a hard detent trying to rotate the lever. Now after the first takedown, its easy as can be. Dunno why that was, but thanks for the vid.
Glad it helped!
Gotdamn this makes it a hell of a lot easier then the instructions berreta gives
Thanks for the video it helped. Was a bit hard w a new gun.
Good video... disassemly button may be a little stiff if new weapon...
The316Boy that's my problem. Brand new I kept trying and it wouldnt budge.
Dude, thank you so much. Youre a genius.
Thank you for your Video! It's great! Quick and to the point.
Great video thank you. Clear and to the point.
Thank you! Your video made it simple!
You're welcome!
I appreciate what you are trying to do here, but please, people, RUclipsrs, everyone, this is *not* the way that this pistol should be disassembled. It is much harder than it needs to be. Start by releasing the striker, either using the deactivation button or by pulling the trigger, and *then* and only then, work on the takedown lever by pressing in on the button side and rotating the lever down. Doing it in the proper order ensures that the takedown lever does not "pop back up" (which is a feature for reassembly) and frees up your hands to catch or control the top slide more easily as it can sometimes shoot out under the tension of the recoil spring. In other words, do this in reverse. Striker-release first (pull trigger, use button), and *then* rotate the takedown lever down. It's easier, there's less force on the takedown lever, and everything works better. This is all clearly spelled out in the manual.
_whats the link to your video_ ? Just curious 🤔
*_Bro you suggest that you have the right way to do it when in fact you would have to spend 13 minutes watching your video?_*
Hilarious 😂😂😂 _I appreciate what your trying to do here too, but I'll pass_ .. _Up a 14 main video up any day & everytime. If your video isn't under 46s, you don't have an easier way bro. Because even If you did, you most definitely shouldn't defeat the point by creating an even longer way to find out what that is_

When in doubt; read the manual.
Neither way is what the manual says
I always read the manual, no matter what... except in the case of the newer APX A1s, they don't come with a manual. They come with *an order form* for a manual.
thank you sir .. Worked perfectly
Good video on this subject and I give you credit. However, there's another way to skin this cat if a user has difficulty with the right side button spring tension. For me, it was easier if I turned the gun horizontally and, first, pressed the tension button with a portion of each thumb simultaneously. Then I could hold it in place with one thumb while accessing the opposite side lever. Yes, this is a personal approach that works for me and it may work for others having difficulty. In any case, thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video! Mine is hard hard as shit though. I can't even do it.
Many thanks, this makes it easy!
Works for me thanks man
awesome videos thx
thank you, you made it easy.
Another otherwise-experienced reviewer complained repeatedly about how difficult the new APX A1 is to field strip. Maybe he was just in a bad mood that day? This procedure is easy-enough to understand.
Can you show how to change out the slide release from the Milspec to the extended Beretta slide release?
Let me see what I can do!
Saved my life!!!!!
good job bro!
i'm still having a hard time getting the top end off because when i am pushing the button and pressing the opposite side of the frame the little lever on the left side wont go down still
guess im just weak, watched another video that showed to apply pressure to the button with the mag and that worked
You are a boss! Thank you!!!
Holy shit, thanks. That was easy.
Not complicated once you know how lol. Had a friend with this on the range the other day and I tried to figure it out on the fly. Never would have tried that lol.
Thank u u made it easy
Thanks great job It’s just a matter of explaining it properly thanks so much
thank you very much
What is that white outlined looking part on the polymer?
Great fuckin video straight to the point no bullshit i don't manuals thx bro
Ur the reason i didnt break my berretta
Simple easy and fast ty well done.
Well done
Thank you! FJB
I removed by mistake the lever ... totaly... Right now the gun is blocked for disassembly... What solution do I have?
It should slide back in at a certain point when you spin it around.
Thanks for a easy quick video
F them other guys
I’ll save ya some time. Everyone on videos talking about push the take down lever in. It is not a push , at least not while it’s new. You have to use a punch, non marring preferably and “TAP” the takedown lever in. There is considerable gap of at least 1/4 inches before that lever will rotate downward and mine would not disengage without a firm tap using a punch. Now that I understand it that way it’s not a problem but the tolerances are such as new that a “PUSH” will not do it unless your fingers are super human.
For those who have trouble with a sticky take down pin, you can use the mostly worthless mag loader to push in the pin.
As easy as 1,2,3. lol Good vid the 40 is the same
Same I have the .40 and this video is Great
yea but mine is new and the button and lever are hard
Thank u 😊
I'd like to see a video on slide disassebbly.
I learned that if you push the button too far in you can't turn the lever. My button is extremely hard to push but it is brand new.
👍🏾
The problem is that Berettas quality control is ass on these. Because some are easy and some aren't on a lot of them that button is super hard and some are easy.
Anyone who says this is a hard task has no business handling a gun
Meanwhile the directions say give it a steak dinner and tuck it in before gently reverse engineering a nuke.
The A1 is beyond stiff
That dumb company ships this gun with a braided metal cleaning brush that scratched the hell out of the slide during shipping. Brand new firearm has to be sent back due to a freaking piece of metal in the box! Dumb.
Ny lever never goes down. My friend in the military only got it to come down once. Why are they so stiff . I litterally feel like imma break the gun lol
The manual makes it way fucking harder.
This is a field strip not disassembly
Are you wizard?
@@OUTLAW4489 the wonderful Wizard of Baretta
You lost me lol it didn’t work
Does not work for the A1. BS video. Thumbs down.
It's the same, do some research and you will see. Keep in mind there is a couple different ways to take it down so find one you are comfortable with.
👎🏾
i luv u
Thank you
👍
