Hello everybody! Thanks for stopping by. :) I'm Julie and we are a family of three. We live right on the coast here in the North East of England.
If you fancy sticking around, we're going to be bringing you meals of the week, recipes, shopping and hauls and dining out - all with an emphasis on comfort :)

I always add lots of water to the pan when I fry mushrooms as they absorb all the liquid and it makes them lovely and plump and juicy and less greasy. I coat them in butter, parsley and garlic afterwards and they always come out great 😊

You've brought lots of lovely memories of my mum and that Lean Cuisine recipe; I still remember the smell of it. Great ideas on the lemon mayo and the lemon drink too. My shopping order now has added citrus.

Those sweet potato fries from Tesco are delicious. I love calamari but I'd be nicking some of Mr Haway's scampi too. Lemonade looks lush too!

Meals look really nice. That orange chicken with almond rice looks really good. It's going to go on my meals to do list as unfortunately at the moment my husbavd can't have citrus fruit or nuts so I will make it when he can have it, it looks so nice. Also the pork provencale looks nice, I've made something similar before just with the meat & sauce but not in the pasrty & your sauce is made differently but yours looks good. I have pork in the freezer & all the ingredients apart from the flaky pasrty but I can pick 1 up on my foid shopping day on Wednesday. Are you not showing us your food shopping hauls any more? I used to really enjoy seeing those. I'm just nosey when it comes to other people's food shops!!! 😊

I dont mean this with any offence whatsoever. But…it makes me giggle every week. You talk about eating healthy 🙈. Not much healthy this week. Patry, carbs, frying in lots of oil etc
