Time just flies. You used to show the boys’ capsule wardrobes and the clothes were so tiny and now Lachlan’s hoodies look like they’d fit you! Knitted shirt sleeve sweater looks great with jeans and overalls. I’m Glad you were able to make it work with the limited yarn issue.
I love that you do capsule wardrobes for your children. People usually buy children to many outfits. I know I did when my son was a baby. Children grow like weeds . When your oldest wears a uniform he won’t need many casual clothes.
I enjoyed seeing what you shared today on here. Thank you! My kids don't have many clothes at all and fit all of their clothes for all seasons in two drawers (though not completely full). I love seeing how others organize and do capsules though!
Lovely video as always! I have three boys so always good with a bit of inspiration on how other families make it work. We keep 5-7 of pants, sweaters and t-shirts, 2-3 pairs of pyjamas, 6-7 pairs of underwear and socks. I do laundry daily but have to hang dry everything.
I let my bread rise in the microwave (not turned on), it works as a nice warm box. I put the bowl for first rise or the loaf tin in the microwave with a small jig of boiling water and shut the door. It's warm and moist in there and works really well. I dont even bother to cover the bowl/loaf tin.
Oh wow!!!! Your top is stunning Bayley! Gorrrrrgeous. Love love love!🌺🌺🌺 The only thing I have heard re problems with bread rising is temperature and inactive yeast. I've never come across inactive yeast. My bread always takes longer to rise in the cooler months. Of course the yeast is slower to activate when straight from the fridge. I sit my bread in in the hot water cupboard to rise/proof.
Your boys' capsule wardrobes are great! It gets trickier as they get older, my 19 year old is 5' 11", my 17 year old is 5' 3" and my 16 year old is 6' 2" 😅😅 my eldest likes to work out at the gym, he did a big clearout at the weekend and gave his brithers a heap of tshirts and polo shirts hes too buff to fit into now 😂😂
I love the sweater. I like to wear sweaters over a dress. I love the sleeves, too. I am wondering if I could use the knitters elastic on the cuffs of a store bought sweater to tighten them back up.
I noticed you had windows open in your kitchen - drafts as well as temperature can affect how your baked goods rise, so perhaps that was the problem. I‘d put a damp cloth on the sleeves while you‘re wearing your lovely top, that should relax the crease as it then dries again. The length looks good on you with jeans, you‘re lucky! I can hardly believe the boys are already 7 & 10 😮
Off topic but I was so shocked when you said the boys were 7 and 10! Where did the time go! I remember when I started watching Tobias was a baby/ toddler!
Appreciate your chat-through of the kids wardrobes. I’ve been slowly paring back my children’s clothes but honestly feel like I’m buried under the weight of them. Especially my 2 year old daughter, it’s a struggle! I’m also guilty of buying clothes for them that I thought they needed only to find they actually had it already (just not being on top of it and underprepared) plus things they are given from family! Going into this season I bought much less than I thought was needed and it’s working much better 💪🏻
Just remember to pull out the clothes you don't need as she grows out of it and you will be good to go and do much better in the next year. They grow out of sooo much so quick, and you will be so thankful getting it under control before they are 7-9 like I did. I had sooo many clothes for my 2 and they were attached to so much.
Great timing for me, because my son still has his winter and summer clothes in his drawer. Tomorrow is the day I’m taking care of it! Your sweater turned out so beautiful! It was the novice sweater, right? May I ask how many grams of mohair you used? I have some balls in my stash that didn’t pair well with the merino I wanted to hold it together with (online yarn shopping is difficult!), so now I’m trying to figure out what to do with it. I like that the sleeves are a bit bigger on top, that gives it extra interest! About the rising of your bread: I noticed an open window. Maybe the draft cooled it down too much? And the other thing to check is your yeast. Is that still active/fresh? I feel like baking bread now 😊
Your top looks lovely. I wonder if you tried a bread recipe from the makers of the flour you buy, would it help? If the recipe is from abroad the type of flour might be different.
Absolutely LOOOOVE that top, you’ve done a fantastic job! Love the cropped length and thought it looked great with jeans as well! Thank you for sharing how many items of each you find works well as this is exactly what I was wondering myself. As always, very inspiring video- thank you for all that you do! ❤
My daughter is 12 tomorrow & I don’t think she would wear anything I bought for her anymore 😢. She has asked for clothes & trainers (sneakers) for her birthday though & is quite good at getting rid of things so I think we’re due a clear out ready for summer here ☀️
You need to try this bread! The best bread I have ever made. It is from Alexandra’s kitchen and the recipe is called Peasant Bread. You will no disappoint ❤
@@bayleymadeitor you could try the Artisan bread in 5 minutes, mix up a batch of dough once a fortnight keep it in the fridge and you can then make focaccia, naan, rolls pizza or a loaf, they have RUclips channel to see how easy it is. I love the flexibility of having dough in fridge at the ready. Blessings from Australia
Do any other children mention your boys wardrobes? Aren't there any bullying or jokes that they have so little? I am afraid to do capsule wardrobe for my preschooler..
From my experience at preschool age none of the other kids would notice/remember/care what someone else was wearing (other than liking it if it was a character shirt or something they recognized.) Typically clothes get more important as kids get older. My teen son still doesn’t really care, my daughter does care a lot about her clothes now. However, if you have 5 of each item, that’s a new outfit for each school day each week, so I don’t think that would stand out as too few clothes to anyone.
I don’t think kids care nearly as much as we think. My kids hardly have enough and I’ve never had or heard any comments about them rewearing the same few things. While we often worry what others think I think most people are far too self obsessed to even notice 😅 teenagers might be trickier….but I can’t see this being a Problem for most kids.
Thank you for your answers. You are probably right that children don't care. We will try to buy limited amount of clothes this time and see what happens :)
Preschool into maybe 1st or 2nd grade definitely isn’t an issue but my son is going into 2nd and is starting to care about what he wears. I’m sure there could be bullying but maybe these boys just don’t deal with it or care
I miss your old videos too as it has been my inspiration when I was new to minimalism 🥰

Love this! Thanks for posting. I get so excited when your videos pop up!
That sweater looks phenomenal! Love the length with the jeans, the slightly puffed sleeves. Just wanted to say it looks great!
The short sleeve knit is so gorgeous, I think it’s the perfect length & can definitely be worn with jeans 🧶
I love the sweater. I love the puff sleeve, makes it look fancy.

Your sweater is SO pretty! I think it would look good with a skirt too.

Missing your vlogs! Hope you’re all ok!
I have a similar system for my kids clothes and it works great :)
Your jumper looks so good.
I actually love the sleeves!! Adds a little
Something extra
Love that sweater! Bread looked good, too -
Love the sweater!!! I think the sleeves look really cute. It is very stylish!

The cropped sweater is just lovely. I think (like others) that it's perfectly fine with jeans. A timeless piece.
The knit is perfect length for those jeans!

The top looks great. You look really cute in it
I put my bread to rise in the oven with the light on and that helps sometimes. I try to use a damp tea towel. I often add a little extra yeast too...

Lol, hand me downs fell apart at my house by about 11 or 12. Well, sort of, after that they started getting hand me downs from Mom and Dad. 😂
Check to make sure that your yeast hasn't expired as that can have an effect on how much your bread rises

@@GoingGreenMom love that, thank you!
Your sweater looks awesome! Glad you were able to save it. I would be so bummed to create something and then have it unwearable.

It may be that the yeast isn’t alive anymore. I store mine in the refrigerator to keep it fresh longer. And my dryer is broken right now too!
Your hair looks lovely Bayley.
Thanks a lot for sharing. Love from Greece

I love the short sleeve and crop length of your jumper. That was a good pivot. :)
I was wondering what knitters elastic was, thanks for sharing. I love the top.
sometimes if you let the dough rise too much it deflates !! Some doughs are bit 'precious' ..So, just do the 45mins in tin ..thats my experience ..

Are you washing tshirts with jeans? We found that’s what gives our tshirts those little holes from the zippers on jeans
The top bunk is probably warmer than the lower one too.

How cold does it get there? Those coats don't look very warm, but Im not sure where you are at if you are dealing with snow and ice or just rain?
Your bread dough looked wetter than the dough I usually make. Maybe a little less water?
Thank you, I will try adding less next time 😊🍞
Is your yeast in date? Also I find bread does need a warm space to rise..maybe it was cooler there than needed for optimum rising?
Yes, it might be time for a fresh container of yeast.
You could always put the bread dough in the coat cupboard nice n snug next to water tank . X
I made a similar video!!
I’m going to count clothes tomorrow and I’ll report back.
