Apparently WEC will require that all LMH and GT3 cars are fitted with them for next season. It's unclear if that will remain the case for LMDh cars racing WEC or LMH cars that are racing GTP class.
@@HeyItsAJOmega I think it's a matter of frequency maybe? since it's a v12, revving at like 4k more revs than the caddy's v8 it's just a higher frequency noise and more "shrill" as opposed to the Caddy v8 that basically just bullies your eardrums 😅 but I'm no expert, I just read up the regulation. this is my layman's estimation.
Is it just because of Laguna Seca or is this the new future for motorsports with DB caps? Because I'd have no hurt feelings to drop Laguna for the likes of COTA.
@@markhunt7434Complacent attitudes like yours are why we’re in this position. Tracks in the US also don’t have insane road-level decibel limits like in Europe
Just a bit disappointing that the street versions of a lot of the hypercars have much more HP than their racing counterparts. I mean, the streeet Valkyrie has 1,160hp, while the LMP is limited to 670.
@chipattack912 tracks need to meet decibel laws to be able to operate if they dont they will be sued to death, especially if they got build up areas near bye

LOOOOUUUUUDDDDEEEEERRRRR IMSA. you killed the v12 vantage by making it silent, dont make the mistake of making the most exciting sounding car be muted.
Bring it on. Everybody is waiting for the day to see and hear this car after all those years
Remove the mufflers we want to hear the car
the most silent car on the grid with a V12😂 what a time to be alive

loving it 😂
A bigger problem for me is that it seems like they want to go with those colors.
They should replace that livery immediately.

I get the decibel regulations around Laguna seca.. but let's have a Daytona spec exhaust package that actually lets these cars sing. 🔊🔊🙉
Do decibel regulations not apply to Cadillac? Heck, even P2 cars seem louder in lanky Turtle's video when they're all running together.

It would not be able to race in IMSA.
Regulations mandate a 110dB hard ceiling for noise emitted by LMDh/GTP cars.
@@bmoney2011 How comes it seems so much quieter than even stuff like the Cadillacs then?

This is crazy.

I really hope they can be competitive, whether that’s right away or in a year. I just want the car to be fast!
Same, but i think it will prob still be slower than the Ferrari, Porsche, or toyota
Do remember Ian James is the only driver in WEC to claim pole position AND win from pole.
I’m going to keep commenting; remove the mufflers! It would be so disappointing to have the car completely drowned out by everything else 😢
Coming out of the bus stop full throttle onto the high bank has to be one of the most epic things ever
I’m so disappointed, the car sounded incredible in its first test at Donington but now it sounds awful in comparison

Wow, v12 back on the track after so many years
such a joke that its so muffled.. whats the point of hyping up the v12 if you can hardly hear it

WEC is where Lance Stroll will end up under the guise leading the future of Aston Martin in full body car racing, which could leak over to IMSA also.
I've also looked at the valkyrie being an exit strategy for Lance. F1 fans can only hope.
