Enjoy what you do Sergent, you have quality transferable hard skills for civilian life. Make sure that you hone your soft skills too, WHATEVER you do, do not come to California looking for work. The cost of living and the hourly or salary wages being paid to people in our field of IT. Does NOT allow for a good quality of life. One Sergent to another. Also take time to write up your resume and pay to have it professionally gone over by two different agencies. One last bit of advice. While your still in the Army Get Your PMP Certification. This is a Projects Manager course. These jobs in IY pay extremely well, but the workloads and demands are very high in this field. You Will earn every dime you get paid.

But a typical 25B usually sits behind a desk answer phones and submitting work tickets via a system called Remedy. Basic IT Helpdesk Support. Others sit inside the comsec vault issuing out crypto. the 25B MOS is basically not all that anymore if someone really wants to learn networks go 25N or Q they work more with swtiches and routing. If one wants to work in the security field go 25D they are the Cyber Analyst basically. The actual hackers are the 17C.

(Civilian is called IT Operations Manager 80k-135k in the right area) Will find love in any Government network, including DOIM, State and DOD after the uniform. Best school IMO. I understand what you mean by "I'm a Bravo, I don't do that!" I was a 63B (Light Wheeled Mechanic) and my unit had Heavy Wheeled Vehicles, Tracks, Trailers, Generators, Lawn Mowers everything with an engine!! And no matter what 63 series you were, we had to work on ALL pieces of equipment. We had 63H (Track Mechanics) working on HMMWVs with us, and vice versa. So, you can't say "I'm a Bravo, I don't work on Generators" The next thing you will hear is, "OK Priv, get on your face and push down Fort Hood till I get tired!!"

I'm reclassing in the USAR. After several years of massive back injuries and physical therapy, this ACFT has me nervous. Is there an ACFT to pass the course? I know I need one to even get into the course, but I'm stressing about passing ACFT again to graduate. I did it this weekend and made, but could hardly move later in the day, one major reason for my reclass, that and I just graduated with a Bachelors in IT and cyber. I'm really asking because I want to stay in and not be med boarded. Thankyou in advance.

It’s been a crazy journey filled with up and downs but no regret 25Bang Bang for life best mos, there’s only a handful of mos’s in the army that can look down on us from what the sergeants have been saying we’re the golden child of the signal Corp, shit you can tell just by looking at our barracks compared to the others we live in hotels they live in the projects😂

17C has 45 Weeks of AIT compared the the 17 Weeks 25B has. Sounds rough. Heard their attrition rate is staggering as well. If it's still something you're interested in, perhaps you can re-class down the line.
