I’m confused! Kasatkina, as a Russian, has vocally condemned the war numerous times, and hasn’t been able to return to Russia since. Kostyuk said Russian players haven’t stood up, but if there were ONE Russian player who deserves a handshake for standing up for Ukraine it is Kasatkina, and the danger she has put her family in to take this stand, so I’m not sure what else Kostyuk could want from her, except her simply not being born in that country.

People who write about "no handshake" clearly dont understand what the war is. Thouthands of people are dead, cities destroyed and people in Ukraine live everyday in fear to die. That's why Ukrainians can't be associated at the moment with anything connected to Russia even with people who are against the war. That's why Ukrainians can't be associated at the moment with anything connected to Russia even with people who are against the war. @@NikolayNikolay25 and that's Daria's fault?
EDIT: There is a close racial, ethnic and linguistic tie between Ukrainians and Russians, the fact that West has managed to convince the idiotic Ukrainian leaders to fight with Russia over NATO accession is a crime against humanity. The peace deal was on the table in 2022, he should have signed it, and saved lives. If you're Ukraine, you're safer out of NATO. Stop wanting to be Westerners, they won't have you, nor do they care about your casualties, since they want even more of them!! Wake up

@@BOZ_11 that's a bullshit, Ukraine didn't start this war Russia started it in 2014 by taking Crimea and sponsoring people in the East part to start the civil war, and then Russia started a big war in 2022 and killing thousands of people, it's stupid to blame Ukraine for that. And peace deal wasn't signed because Russia appeared to be not as strong as people thought and Ukraine was able to take a lot of land back before the war line got frozen again. Only Russia can stop this war by moving their army out of Ukraine.
