At the 1:27 point of the video, it says it's a flash sync terminal. Actually, that's the connection for a wired shutter release remote control (Nikon MC-12A). If you are using studio strobes and use a flash sync cable, get the Nikon AS-15 sync terminal adapter that attaches to the hotshoe. Great video.
I have one of these but it's the n8008s even now it works perfect , I have an N-90s and a f5 . It's great all my Nikkor lens work on all 3 bodies . The only mode I use is manual since that is how I learned useing a Canon ae-1 and a Olympus om-10 . And I still have the Canon and Olympus with multiple lens for both as well

use a coin to open the battery cover, not a screwdriver!
Coins, especially made of aluminium like japanese 10 yen, are much softer and are less likely to scratch the body
