@@SingleTraveller Also try Amboli ghat of Maharashtra. It is in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. It has many waterfalls of the way. Frequent buses of MSRTC and nwkrtc are available from Kolhapur and Belgaum

There are also some MSRTC buses from Nipani. This buses departs from Kolhapur and goes to Sawantwadi. The route for these buses are via Nipani - Amboli - Sawantwadi. The day bus as per website arrives at Nipani at 7:10 am and 9:25 am

@@SingleTraveller Hi, yes, Aare Ware beach is on the way to Ganpatipule. You can also try a short visit to Pawas the next time around. It's a very peaceful place. But it's the opposite direction to Ganpatipule. Fact, the king of Burma was imprisoned at Ratnagiri by the Brits (just like Bahadur Shah Zafar was imprisoned in Burma) at Thiba palace.
