Hi from Nebraska, I was just getting ready to put out fresh nectar and discovered your video. I have 2 hummingbirds so far this year. I do plant a lot of the flowers you also suggest. My cardinal climber looks sad this year also. 😕 I didn’t realize I should have more feeders out in the fall! I will be honored out!!! Lord knows how many I have tucked away 😂 I also need to figure out a better water source. That will be a fun project for this afternoon 💦 Thank you! I do love your videos 😃 💜 Also my blue jays are also hollering at me for peanuts 🥜 😂
Hi there! We drive through the entire middle of Nebraska every year when we visit family in North Dakota. We drive through Alma/Holdredge in the south, take the scenic highway through Broken Bow and on up through Valentine. 😀 That is so fun that you have hummingbirds. I'm not sure all the migration patterns, but being in the middle of the U.S., I would think you would be in the path for the ruby-throated hummingbird. Males migrate first, then the females, and then juveniles last. They fly solo - meaning they don't fly together when they migrate. I don't think you *have* to put out more feeders, you just increase your chances of hummers stopping to refuel in your yard if you do put more out. 😊 I'm so glad that you like the videos! It seems like the Blue Jays holler at me every time I am out taking a video! They are definitely vocal birds! 😂
I hear them!! ❤
It is so difficult to capture video of them because they fly all over so quickly. I'm glad the audio picked them up!
👍🏽
😊

Where do I get that shade cover
I ordered mine from Amazon. In Amazon search for "hummingbird feeder shade umbrella" and different types come up that you can choose from. 😊
