Doesn't matter for us though since we don't use it, we are just AOEmaxxing plain ol' AOE skills. Also unrelatedly, and perhaps I should reiterate this every video for newcomers: I break armor through the Shattering Blow node that gives 50% Armor Break on Heavy Stun, and normal and magic monsters receive 3x and 2x incoming armor break respectively (it's in the advanced tooltip for Armor Break) so we get full breaks. Correction: Titan is saved, I'd love the option to respec my warbringer to titan personally since the whole "armourbreak" ascendacy line is feeling VERY weak at the moment. I am messing about with the totem minionbuffs and exploding warcries though but that's kind of a "sidegig". The warbringer now plays like a standard warrior with a few tricks up his sleeve by way of those minions and the ability to explode corpses comes in very handy when nasty beyond demons spawn in on you.
Great guide and build! Look forward to what you keep cooking . I fell in love with resonating shield and the new shield changes. The bedt thing is that resonating shield is just your block now and rage + support ability. I am looking into making it a combo skill so i can summon a bell with a quaterstaff. However the resonating shield with the aoe scaling now is also a fantastic way to proc armour explosion while shield charge is bette perfect strike if you scale it the right way. Physical bleed shield warrior is something i am looking to test next since the 600% damage on shield charge makes a more potent ailment scaler than perfect strike now
@mishka3304 the phys shield scaling on a 1300 armour shield outperforms especially when you add the 2 meter away support for 40% more damage. If you go ignite you still benefit from the 100ish% ele Inc on the mace. What's interesting is you can also use scepter for some more spirit reservation etc
My main questions would be: 1: What actually scales the armour explosion damage? Considering we don't have PoB and Stampede tooltip barely mentions the explosion (it just says that it exists), there's no way to reliably know it's damage, and how the damage changes with different skills/supports. I can easily imagine fire penetration and so on helping it, but what about stuff like Momentum support? That one would be pure 40% damage increase (if the Stampede stage matters). 2: Does the stage of the Stampede that breaks the armour (therefore triggering the explosion) matter? Considering the slam part of the Stampede does 3x the damage of the running stage for me, would that mean that armour breaks triggered purely by the slam would also do 3x the damage? Ever since the nerf I've just switched off from armour explosion and went full AoE + pure Stampede damage + (almost) 100% aftershock chance, and it has been doing great. Putting the armour explosion back to the mix after this video I'm seeing very similar results while having additional questions. The explosions themselves don't seem to produce that much bang for the buck (the buck being losing on support slot and few passive skills), and the damage seems to vastly differ from explosion to explosion, making me more confused. Granted I am not fully copying your skill tree, it is more of a variation of Onemanaleft's tree with as much added AoE effect and damage as feasible (while still having defenses).
I still can’t seem to get those juicy armour explosions into my build without too much invest into stun build up i think. Running pure damage gems with max aftershock chance and aoe and it seems to be clearing most content pretty well.
I make somethig similar to this, but the problem i have with this is that you are a glass cannon, yes you clear the whol screan and kill mobs before they see you but if something go wrong you just die.
You remind me of one of my favorite PoE creators called Esoro. You have the same voice and manner of speaking. I’d love to see you make future content in a similar context with your unique twist when it comes showing off builds
you can get the aftershock chance to 100% with the aftershock support and a 23% quality stampede gem. May not be optimal for damage but getting guaranteed aftershocks does make it so the whole thing feels a lot more reliable while clearing.
Thanks for the guide, I just followed your explanation and straight blast T13+ after campaign without problem, and I use all the 1ex gear not even optimized but just capped res, my mace only 350dps though😂 Btw how do you interact with seismic cry and infernal cry, how is the combo like? I am finding myself abit confused when to you with warcry
There is a node that breaks 50% armor on heavy stun. You always do three times as much armor break on normal monsters, and twice as much on magics (is in the armor break tooltip). So you dont need devastate.
The weapon swap is to switch from one tree focusing on AoE clear to another tree focusing on single target for bosses. You can set that up on the skill tree on the top right with "I: Weapon Set, II: Weapon Set". When you switch the weapon sets by pressing X, you also manually switch your weapon and your shield from Weapon Set 1 to Weapon Set 2 (the shield you can just leave, but he's doing it because he has the OP Breach Shield). That way you can switch from passive skills focused on clear to ones focused on single target. He fully explains it a video or two before this one.

If you have 10 skill points, you can use 10 weapon set points to branch into different paths, like 1 path for area of effect farming, and 1 path for bossing.
@@jorge15266 When you press X, or assign weapons to weapon set in the G menu (skill menu), you can also assign up to 24 points per each set so that your nodes change depending on what you have. So just repec 24 points on your tree, then top right of passsive tree screen select weapon set 1, assign points, weapon set 2, assign points.
In PoE 2 you can use two weapon sets. The game allows you to select which skills to use with which set (you can use them with both too). If you set a skill to work with set 2 , then every time you use that skill, it will automatically change your weapon to set 2 and then use your skill. Also, the passive points we used in the campaign (24 I think) can be put for set 1 and for set 2. This will also change automatically whenever you use your weapon set 1 or 2. This system allows for a lot of combinations and build creation that people are just starting to grasp.

So I've tried this build. Spent 100,000 gold respeccing the skill tree. Currently level 70. I matched all the passives except a few needed for extra strength. It doesn't work at all. Killing level 62 trash mobs requires 2, sometimes 3 stampedes. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
The unfortunate reality of the nerf is that you need Giant's Blood (if you wanna have shield and therefore survive) with the biggest, most heavy hitting two-handed weapon possible. Because of that you're also going to need A LOT of skill points (aka. high character level). Look on your "DMG" number in the Skills tab right next to Stampede, if it's under 4000 you're just going to have a bad time. I had to swap from armour explosions to just straight up AoE Damage and all damage supports + almost 100% Aftershock chance to make Stampede a usable clear skill.
@@FredDeadHead Thank you for the breakdown! I do have Giant's Blood, but my weapon DPS is only 244-325. So my Stampede current displays DMG: 1392. Gear wise, I guess I'm just not there. Which is a shame, because previously I was doing the necessary damage to kill mobs, but was getting swarmed in endgame. So I'm not sure what I can do to progress, as I've hit a wall.
Build works but you need a good 2h weapon, personally i just go without giant's blood and shield to make it less expensive while I can't afford it, if you can't clear focus on better 2h mace
@@draintesm Gearing for Giant's Blood while being able to use a proper high phys mace is complete aids to be honest. To get to the point where I am with a 174str requirement mace I had to get most of the strength nodes on the tree and get high +strength on pretty much every piece of gear (which makes capping elemental resistances hard, and chaos resistance nigh impossible). Your best bet is probably as already said to drop Giant's Blood for now and rawdog it with just the hardest hitting maul you can get. I got mine on trade for 10ex by just capping the max price I was willing to pay and ordering by highest physical damage. While Attacks per Speed is a nice QoL stat, we just need as much damage as possible and slower weapons are going to be cheaper. Without shield and block you'll most likely be dying a bit more often than now, but also the clear will be much better. And in the edge case that even then the build wouldn't feel good/do enough clear you could just go with the classic leveling build of Leap Slam and Boneshatter until you get more currency. It is slower (and kinda boring ngl), but it's the safe option when everything else fails.
Could you include a list of jewel affixes we have to look out for? Swtiched to the build on a 3 link clear felt fine t15 but boss damage not so much.. but than 4 link
First off thank you for the guide! now i must be missing something. I'm not getting any explosions and i cant figure out why? i switched from leap slam+boneshatter and my explosions were great. please advise and thank you.
Could you show the boss weapon set too? Is Wulfsbane really that good for single target dmg? And is it good to get + melee gems for single target weapon
Cultist greathamemr does not interact with stampede aoe. Not sure if you think I am using one, I am not, I use a Temple Maul. Same gear as my prev video at 6:00
It sounds like I've miscommunicated that the Cultist Greathammer implicit is entirely unrelated to this build; it's part of someone else's build that gave me inspiration, that's all
@@cloudcastsmagicmissile I see, just the first minute of the video made me think that's what you used, probably could have been a little clearer but no biggie
I just respec'd to this, currently lvl 78. I am not getting ANY explosions. (I have the new mace, 360dps) It is significantly worse than the "post-nerf" spec. I need help, surely I am missing something
So, I "sort of" got it working. The problem with the maxroll passive tree is that you dont have anyone taking "Shattering Blow" until well after level 80. This build does not work *at all* until you get this. Shattering Blow should be sequenced much much earlier in the passive tree guide you have.
@@bewl2641 If he put Shattering Blow that late, then yeah, that's a mess up. You either need that node, or one of your Stampede supports needs to be Devastate. To trigger the actual explosions you need to full stun the enemy, which breaks their armour. So if you're not getting any explosions try to get more Stun Buildup, either on the tree or on your weapon (btw. get the most hitting weapon you can get, the DPS doesn't matter, or at least the weapon speed doesn't, it needs to hit as hard as possible).
Ah yes. My titan is saved. Thank you so much! Just one question. How do you manage to quickly cast stampede when neither your weapon nor your gloves have attack speed? I have a somewhat similar build minus the helm and the shield. But mine takes considerably longer to cast. Is it purely because of the 'onslaught' from helm?
Weaponswap trees are just part of the game, the tech is to use only one weapon. You manually move it to your other weaponset and adjust your mace strike gems and lmb skill. Lets you use the same weapon and run a dualspec of aoe tree / single target tree
im trying to run this build but not able to break enemies armour for the explosions i guess. I got the passive which breaks %50 armour of the enemies but i dont udnerstand how we supposed to break %100 of it without using devastate support gem
I'm running through "Act4" now and I keep trying to use the build and stampede as instructed, I never seem to get enough damage though and end up just having to rely on auto-attack/boneshatter. The armor explosions and aftershocks on stampede just don't kill anything unless I do the skill 2 or 3 times.
You straight up don't have enough skill points and weapon damage to make it work extremely well yet. Just focus on getting out of the campaign, then it will start to pick up.
I would highly not recommend going Stampede until you're well into maps and have the third ascendancy. I got it around level 70, when it was pre-nerf, now with the nerf you need even more skills (levels) for it to be good. Before that get Leap Slam with stun buildup supports, Boneshatter with impact shockwave and Hammer of the Gods, Leap Slam into enemies, Boneshatter the glowing ones (which will make everything die) and drop the Hammer on Rares and bosses. That's probably the easiest build to go for while leveling, even tho it gets really boring later on.
Hey Cloud thanks for your Videos! I was struggling a bit coming to the cruel acts and Endgame due to my build fantasy not working together with gear I found. Your Videos taught be a bit more about the game and making decisions based on the problems I was noticing in my Warrior gameplay. Stampede is goated. But I will figure out a way to progress to higher Tiers in due time :) Anyone else always die when they try to use Perfect Strike in Maps? I don't have a shield yet so im dead most of the time, when I try to pull one off against a Rare or Unique .

Bleed works good on Witch if you want to go pure ailment scaling. He scales ignite here because he scales perfect strike too and ignite than makes pore sense. Also the 2handed maces give % global increased elemental damage whole bleed will be more fixed to Axes. If you want to go bleed don't use perfect strike but also your stampede and explosions will make less damage
Armor Explosion got nerfed direct DMG with Close Combat fire Infusion and magnified affect Gem quality to 20 and Aftershock Support plus some Skill tree Notes gives about 75% Aftershock Works good :)

Also, the passive points we used in the campaign (24 I think) can be put for set 1 and for set 2. This will also change automatically whenever you use your weapon set 1 or 2.
This system allows for a lot of combinations and build creation that people are just starting to grasp.
I think tremors works good with hammer of the god.. I dont know how and why.. Sometimes the aftershock happen 7 times
how do you get your dmg upp on stamped ? im level 84 and my stamped dmg is only at 5k
@cloudcastsmagicmissile - Is this possible to do on a Warbringer? Would the more armour break make up for the lack of aoe
nice video! can you help please, what the most important 3 gems for stempede , I'm low lvl now and can do only 3 sockets so wondering what to put there, what's priority?
I noticed in your current build on maxroll you still have crushing blow selected over the aoe aftershock?
My mistake, it's been corrected now
What so you think of alkaizers build with scaling phy without explosion? Using aftershocks ❤ im currently using his build but feel im not a god gamer keep dying at level 85 can do tiers 11-13 with good rolls but not enough dmg to push higher been grinding for a week and still haven’t found a weapon upgrade feel like this build might have higher dmg potential?
WTF this build so crazy😁👍
What are your thoughts on armor so far?
I have been thinking if i should respec into amr/eva/block or go for the godly ES
What are your stats now? Life, Block and Armor? Would be interessting..
Struggling now on lvl 70ish. Not enough strength or skill points to make this build work
So I've tried this build. Spent 100,000 gold respeccing the skill tree. Currently level 70. I matched all the passives except a few needed for extra strength.
It doesn't work at all. Killing level 62 trash mobs requires 2, sometimes 3 stampedes. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Same here. This build does not work unless you are close to level 90.
Do you think a variation of this would work with chronomancer with life recoup stacking
Question. How do you beat yellow bars while in AOE. Hammer does piss poor damage the aoe build. Also how you get the strength?
Could you include a list of jewel affixes we have to look out for? Swtiched to the build on a 3 link clear felt fine t15 but boss damage not so much.. but than 4 link
So for weapon swapping, I'd still need to swap gems etc? Would I then also need to swap manually my mace from 1 to 2 then manually move the gems?
First off thank you for the guide! now i must be missing something. I'm not getting any explosions and i cant figure out why? i switched from leap slam+boneshatter and my explosions were great. please advise and thank you.
what does the green and red colors represent in the passive tree of the build?
Life leech from Berserk gem isn't working with Avatar of Fire as there is no physical damage inflicted right?
When should you start speccing into this?
So how do you break armor with Stampede if you dont use Devastate?
Isnt breaking armor a requirement for armor explosion to proc?
could you please update your equipment in guide? would really appreciate
Could you show the boss weapon set too? Is Wulfsbane really that good for single target dmg? And is it good to get + melee gems for single target weapon
If your weapon doesn't have any flat elemental damage is "primal Armament" just useless?
Why does cultist greathammer interact with stampede aoe, it's not a strike skill is it?
Cultist greathamemr does not interact with stampede aoe. Not sure if you think I am using one, I am not, I use a Temple Maul. Same gear as my prev video at 6:00
It sounds like I've miscommunicated that the Cultist Greathammer implicit is entirely unrelated to this build; it's part of someone else's build that gave me inspiration, that's all
@@cloudcastsmagicmissile I see, just the first minute of the video made me think that's what you used, probably could have been a little clearer but no biggie
What do you think of Lay Siege notable to +75% increased damage?
I wonder if this is possible with Mercenary. We have a lot of melee, AOE, armor break and blocking nodes too.
i dont wanna play stampede is there any way to make rolling slam have big aoe
does brutality support negatively impact armour explosion?
I just respec'd to this, currently lvl 78. I am not getting ANY explosions. (I have the new mace, 360dps) It is significantly worse than the "post-nerf" spec. I need help, surely I am missing something
So, I "sort of" got it working. The problem with the maxroll passive tree is that you dont have anyone taking "Shattering Blow" until well after level 80. This build does not work *at all* until you get this. Shattering Blow should be sequenced much much earlier in the passive tree guide you have.
I am not getting anywhere near the visuals I see in this video though. No "explosions". The AOE is minimally viable.
Can you explain Bulwark passive AKA "take 30% less dmg while dodge rolling but dodge roll cannot avoid hits" i dpnt get how thats good.
sorry im noob,so in new tree i have to add the green or the red skill on tree?
is this possible without weapon swap? so instead of Perfect strike can I use Hammer of gods?... hands is getting stiff due to age :D
What level could you start using this build?
Looks fun af
how do you break armor to cause explosion if you don't take the gemini that breaks armor ??
How is stampede breaking armor?
I guess I still don't understand how the weapon swap tech works with only having one weapon...
Read the advanced tooltip for armor break, normal/magic monsters receive multiplied break
@cloudcastsmagicmissile so we break the armor just because of that passive node?
I am currently struggling with getting enough Strength and Resistances on my Gear (Giants Blood for one handing) so I can use a shield. But I will figure out a way to progress to higher Tiers in due time :)
Anyone else always die when they try to use Perfect Strike in Maps? I don't have a shield yet so im dead most of the time, when I try to pull one off against a Rare or Unique .
I need help, where can I learn how to swap weapons for diff trees? They seem to do it so seamlessly
Hi. Thank you so much for making these guides! What support gems shoul i use if i only have 3 sockets on my skilks?
Hello! Congratulations with ur build saving!!! Have two questions for u:)
1) why do u prefer perfect strike over sunder? Just ur preference?
2) is it good idea for bossing use bleed nodes and bleed buffs on HOG? Noticed that alkaizer respec for it
Thank u for answering in advance!
Thank u. Another question is how much accuracy and from what do I need in this build?
@RLjus you can ignore accuracy since we dont scale crit and take the keystone that your hits can not be invaded
Red path or green path is focusing aoe damage?
Armor Explosion got nerfed direct DMG with Close Combat fire Infusion and magnified affect
Gem quality to 20 and Aftershock Support plus some Skill tree Notes gives about 75% Aftershock
Works good :)
Which venom draught to pick?
