  • BC's BOUNDARY COUNTRY is a nearly forgotten area along British Columbia's southern Highway 3. Filmed September 2023, in this video we explore 7 locations of the Boundary Country including historic Greenwood, Boundary Falls, Phoenix Ghost Town and the forgotten ghost town of Paulson BC where the magnificent Paulson highway bridge stands today. A glimpse of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and the historic community of Gilpin located along the Kettle River south of Grand Forks BC. We stayed at Christina Lake giving us a great place to start our adventures.
Thank you for watching, if you like the video, please give us a thumbs up and consider subscribing to follow our next adventures.
We love to read your comments too! See you on the next one.

Grew up in Grand Forks and it makes me so happy seeing a video like this.
Thanks so much for exploring these gems and bringing light to the places we are so familiar with. I love to see people enjoy the experience that is this area.
Hopefully you got the chance to interact with some locals. The people are the spirit of the Boundary country.

Hey Tom and Suzanne it has been a while and you have been busy. Great job sharing this area your drone footage during your drives and of the chimney , bridge and lakes all the locations were well filmed. Enjoyed your hike at the beginning great B roll showing yourselves as you hiked. That town was cute the desserts looked amazing and the dinner you made the steak looked yummy. You did a great job with your facts at all the locations. That cemetery was full of history. Thanks for the tour of all these places nice job filming ,editing and well executed with sharing all the information!!

Hi L&R. thanks for watching this one and for the compliments! 🥰We also travelled thru many times while living in EK area. Over the years, the curiosity final got to us and we had to explore these amazing historic places. We'll need to plan a full video on just Greenwood. We hear the museum a great place to see more on the town including the ghost town of Phoenix. Have a great next adventure! Tom & Suzanne

I don't think many stop in Greenwood. It just happens to be on the way to other places.
I've never heard of Gilpin. Just drove by history and never knew it.
I like seeing these little glimpses into the past and what used to be there.

Over the years I have been driving through that area numerous times but never stopped to look all the hidden treasures of that part of British Columbia. The Boundary creek water fall is quite a side to see the Paulson bridge is interesting when looking at from the side.Greenwood with all the old building’s I have seen many times but never explored.what is left of Gilpin give’s me a idea what it looked like it when there was a settlement along the river.Christina Lake a lovely place for a picnic. The old area where Phoenix used to be and the cemetery of bygone days was also interesting.I also liked the drone footage! Good job putting the video together!

Hi Will! Thanks for watching this one. Feel free to reach out if you need any BC info. We're lucky to have these historic places so near to us. Its weird to have a town in BC named the same as AZ's Phoenix. We've been to Phoenix AZ many times and love the adventures around there! We just subscribed to your channel, look forward to keeping current on your AZ adventures. Have a great next adventure! Tom & Suzanne
