Never seen anyone use silicone for icicles! I use the hot glue method, I whip the nozzle of the gun across a baking sheet several dozen times and then cut to size, so I always have a little container of icicles ehn I need them.
Good video as always. Can you do a video where you take a modern, well-kept building and show us ways to weather it/break up the flat colors but still make it look "clean?" Like the outside of a modern house or business?
Nice. What's the interplay between the rubble and snow piles/texture and playability? I see that you covered the top "flat" part of the roof with snow--will that prevent a miniature from sitting up there?
You promised me 7 years ago you would make Terrain School video 2, how to paint Mordheim buildings....the scratch built ones. With the popularity of Mordheim coming back maybe you could do the video now.....pleeeease :)

Quite a Malevian wizard tower that one is !
Very nice. Will surely try the ice effect.
Nice vid, man
I love these Terrain School videos. I would lie to see one where you weather your A.R.K. Terrain to look like it's been abandoned for decades.
Great Idea! We'll add that to the list
This would be a good start for that "Christmas village" terrain...

Excellent idea :)
It's looking great! I like to add a small amount of snow paste where the icicles start forming. I think it blends them into the building much better.
i have been reduced to a go-for
Excellent tutorial!!!!Very beautiful effect! A swamp I would like to see.

Please explain the dish soap on the powdered snow thx great site
It helps to break up the surface tension of the water. It allows the liquid to flow through into the powder much easier.
How do you have so few views? (I mean... It's not nothing, but with the video quality I wouldn't be surprised if the video was in the 5 digits.)
Who knows :p
