I use lucas fuel treat in gens and mowers if they surge or slow start. Every time they smooth out and one pull at normal temp. Stabil for storage works very well for me. Been using Lucas for a long time know since the first time i used it a shitty running z car after like 2 bottles in one tank of gas (2 for higher consintration ) the cars performance increased drastically over the course of the tank.damn car had so much carbon build up.
I have an '04 chevy with a 6.0 vortec. It just hit 175,000. Still runs pretty good for an old beast. I'm the original owner and I have followed the maintenance schedules religiously. I have always used Lucas fuel treatment but only treated when it was time to change the engine oil. However, as of about a year ago, when the engine had about 168,000 on it, I started experiencing sluggish acceleration. In the beginning, I mistook this for bad plugs/wires. I changed out the originals when the vehicle hit 96,000 with top quality parts. So, I was hesitant to buy new plugs and wires as I figured they should go at least another 20 and possibly 30,000 miles before needing replacement. So, I dumped some Lucas fuel treatment in the tank and almost immediately, the sluggish accelerations stopped. As the tank drained, more and more power started coming back. Due to the trucks age, I now treat every tank. The second set of plugs and wires are still in there and likely will be for a while. Thanks for the video. I knew you would find positive results using the Lucas. It works for me.
Both cleaners would have worked better had they been pulsed during cleaning. Hot compression "wet' should be the comparison. It's always the same, or higher than cold compression "dry" no matter what fluids are run through the engine. If ANY oil is added to fuel that doesn't vaporizes as well as the normal or in greater percentage than normal the compression will rise because of the residue on the rings. Run the engine for an hour and test again.
I was thinking the same thing! The litte trickle originally looks more like 10psi! Not 50... In think he raised the psi for Lucas and added oil in the cylinder when doing a compression test for Lucas to give it a leg up!
I have a high km Subaru with various leaks. I used Lucas on the power steering / rack and pinion because it was leaking at the seals, fixed it immediately. Seam deal, transmission was leaking at the gasket (I probably should have replaced the gasket), but didn't have time. I used Lucas, it fixed it.
Was that the same injector you ran the super tech on cuz maybe the super tech loosen the clogged and the Lucas just had it easy and just had to finish the job the Tech started.
Seriously, You needed to start with a different clogged injector and a difference lawn mower. This test was totally useless. Supertech had time to sit in the machine while you were setting up the next test and clean.
I was thinking the same thing. Essentially, he ran two different treatments through the same equipment. Both additives working together probably work better than just one or the other.
I make sure the injector is clogged on the same psi also using a flow meter. I start each test with a 30 year old gas tank and place gas line in the bottom until clogged with even pressure and flow. This is the only way to run the test. The testing is performed at separate times and the mower temperature is all equal plus so much more i could run a time lapse and include all the other details but you would be watching a 15 minute video if a speed a big part up 8x.
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO so in other words, you just slapped some stuff together and had no real control over anything. Everything you just said is pure BS. Even if what you said is a little bit true, you still had no control over the density of the clog, which also negates your results.
I use the lucas upper cylinder stuff in every tank when i fuel up in my Ram since new. I also use 1 gallon of that Lucas oil stabilizer stuff in my oil. Getting 24 mpg and it only has 6000 miles on it. Lucas stuff makes a difference.
You use a gallon of this in your oil? I have to cry shenanigans on that claim! I think this is what Peter Angles was saying! Your engine would be dead now if that's what you only use! SMH!
@Peter Angles - I agree...how can an engine, designed to use 5w20, survive using just pure Lucas?! There's no way for the Lucas to get through the tiny oil passages a thinner oil gets through?! I think he meant to say a quart, not a gallon - and it better be the synthetic oil stabilizer not the regular (holy thick as molasses) oil stabilizer.
That does sound like fun. Mercedessource makes a great diesel injector tester that fits a variety of Benz prechamber diesels. It is said to work with other Bosch injection systems used on other prechamber diesels, so long as you have the right adapter. This test is doable at home because prechamber diesels don't need high pressure to function, but direct injection diesels do need high pressure. Also, this is doable because the injectors have no electrical components inside of them. Unit injectors, HEUI injectors, and common rail injectors can only be spray tested with machinery that costs a lot of money. If all the electrical components are in the distributor pump, you will be able to use the same tool as the one for non-computerized prechamber engines. The 1995-2001 GMC diesel van is the only example I know of which has both a computerized distributor pump and a prechamber design.
Super tech does work but it takes a lot more for it to accomplish the same. Not quite sure how much cause whenever I used it it was the whole bottle for maybe 10-20 gallons lol. Lucas is good enough for use as directed.
Lucas does clean...I had a 6.0L Chevy truck that was starting very rough so I put a bottle of Lucas in it and after a few hours of driving it began firing up quickly and ran smoother. That was my first experience with Lucas and I've been using it ever since. The truck sat a lot so that was mostly to blame. Most vehicles that are driven daily will not develop problems like this and one could treat the fuel once a year and be good. If you rack up miles and drive hard then over treating your fuel is just pissing away your money...just do it once a year.
I was constipated for a week straight after eating nothing but biscuits and gravy and Bologna sandwiches on white bread, Lucas Oil Treatment was the only thing that got me regular Again………

The lucas oil additive youll notice the engine doesn't get as hot especially in tbe summer.
@@winning77th you don't typically replace injectors unless they go bad, you can pull them and send them off to a reputable company and they will clean them and send them back but you don't replace injectors unless they fail unless you like spending lots of money
I use lucas fuel treat in gens and mowers if they surge or slow start. Every time they smooth out and one pull at normal temp. Stabil for storage works very well for me. A shot of oil stabilizer for very old engines also works for no oil puffs at start up after long storage. Before storage gently draw cord to compression to stop open valves from getting a wet engine!
Yep, Lucas stuff is quality!
I bought some lucas products because they have a long standing reputation and good name, nice for once to see a product that does what it says.I am extremely happy with their stuff.
Lucas needs to pay this guy, I’m definitely getting some for my old Suburban.
This man said psi’s
Some people also say stuff like RPMs

Okay cheerleader.

Yep, I tried Lucas to reduce blow by in my diesel and I don't know why, or how but it definitely helps reduce it.
Hey how does this work for prostates!
Moral of the story is use Supertech then use Lucas and you'll be good!
Super tech loosened the dirt for lucas😂🤣
A yes i was thinking of the same use the whole bottle and then use the whole bottle of Lucas it was for 100 gallons right need to check Walmart
Just mix both ... Mic drop..
I knew Lucas worked, in the past two years I have been trying countless of different additives, but Lucas stands out. People always say it’s my placebo, come on I tried almost every single additives on the shelf, but only the plain looking Lucas stood out.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the NIA community.

Yeah... I bought this at the store this morning having never looked it up what so ever... Aaannd. Here it is in my feed.
After this I Shot an Blew my Load much Faster ..
Thank you Lucas 🎊👍🎉
Lucas is just built different! We use it at work all the time, mostly for "sticking" fuel gauge needles but some rough idle problems too
Ever ran 3 bottles through on a near empty tank? What would happen.
@@YXEFlatl1ne not sure, highly doubt much would happen but it might loosen up some sludge in the gas tank and plug up the fuel pump, I know that's a concern with Seafoam.
I was skeptical of Lucas for years. Snake oil. Then I used ethanol gas treatment, it worked. Then this product. On and on. Great products and Mr. Lucas supports many events I enjoy. Thank You!
How well does this work on piston return springs and can I add this to my blinker fluid ?
Ride Red ChrisFix fan? Haha awesome!
@@billherzog5375 I actually do watch his videos but heck I heard all those things years and years ago. Lol
I've been using Lucas for years now. Have always had good results.
Does it really clean catalytic converters?
@@blue-eyed-bandit Not really sure on cats as I've never had a reason to look.
Been using Lucas for a long time know since the first time i used it a shitty running z car after like 2 bottles in one tank of gas (2 for higher consintration ) the cars performance increased drastically over the course of the tank.damn car had so much carbon build up.
I literally searched for this title months ago, and couldn't find it. Today it showed in my suggested!
I love Lucas products ❤️ 🇺🇲
I use Lucas cetane booster in my diesel Passat and it definitely improves the performance
I think you should have used two of the same lawnmowers
Did you test compression when hot both times? Compression increases when engine is warm ! Just asking?any reply appreciated thanks
Very good point
He ran the engine and used the mower both times. The additive was run into the engine via that external fuel tank.
I come from a Forum that hates Lucas period. I have used this product with good results. This is your best video imho.
Thanks 😊
Now that is some stronger

Wonder if the Lucas will help the spark knock in my engine? It cleaned that injector pretty good.
What do use use to run the fuel through the injector like that. I have some injectors out of the vehicle I would like to clean before reinstalling
My 2004 5.3 LS has been running like crap lately and scan tools are not picking up any codes...Lucas to the rescue!!! Running fine now.
My fuel.pump made a whine noise in my 95 F150 5.0. I added this Lucas and it stopped the noise. Good stuff
What psi are you using on that injector. Needs to be 50-80 psi to do the right job
I was thinking the same thing! The litte trickle originally looks more like 10psi! Not 50...
In think he raised the psi for Lucas and added oil in the cylinder when doing a compression test for Lucas to give it a leg up!
It sounds like that when he was pulling it. He also pulled it 3 times more than with supertech
Id like to see the redline SL-1 treatment its supposed to be boss.
When the music started @ 3:00 min in , I was thinking something’s about to get eaten by a lion or a crocodile . 😂
Was that the same injector you ran the super tech on cuz maybe the super tech loosen the clogged and the Lucas just had it easy and just had to finish the job the Tech started.
Seriously,
You needed to start with a different clogged injector and a difference lawn mower. This test was totally useless. Supertech had time to sit in the machine while you were setting up the next test and clean.
Foreal
Great video! Thanks for taking the time and money to compare these, that was a cool video to watch 👍
I use the lucas upper cylinder stuff in every tank when i fuel up in my Ram since new. I also use 1 gallon of that Lucas oil stabilizer stuff in my oil. Getting 24 mpg and it only has 6000 miles on it. Lucas stuff makes a difference.
@Peter Angles I'm not an engineer
You use a gallon of this in your oil? I have to cry shenanigans on that claim! I think this is what Peter Angles was saying! Your engine would be dead now if that's what you only use! SMH!
@Peter Angles - I agree...how can an engine, designed to use 5w20, survive using just pure Lucas?! There's no way for the Lucas to get through the tiny oil passages a thinner oil gets through?! I think he meant to say a quart, not a gallon - and it better be the synthetic oil stabilizer not the regular (holy thick as molasses) oil stabilizer.
@@JSmith-wy3yh - That's more than obvious, that you're not an engineer!
@@irishkelly654 OK Einstein. Thanks for clarifying. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍
Is the testing done on the same injector and was the engine temperature monitored for accuracy
I would like to see a test with a diesel fuel injector and compare a few of the diesel aditivies in terms of improving spray pattern.
I use Lucas's products regularly, this stuff works, it feels better than premium fuel
Metal Gear type music. Conspiracy theory type format ...love the channel.
Super tech does work but it takes a lot more for it to accomplish the same. Not quite sure how much cause whenever I used it it was the whole bottle for maybe 10-20 gallons lol. Lucas is good enough for use as directed.
Simple and great vid! Were you using different injectors between products? I think you tested them in conjunction with each other actually.
ATTENTION! Gender count update: Still 2.
Huh I was told by my teacher there are 60 genders. Where did you learn these strange "facts "???
Gender is fluid I'm a potato today!
Yup gals n fellers.
You obviously have no idea how chromosomes work 🤦♂️
I was constipated for a week straight after eating nothing but biscuits and gravy and Bologna sandwiches on white bread, Lucas Oil Treatment was the only thing that got me regular Again………
Id like to see a difference between Lucas, BG 44K, and amsoil fuel cleaner.
Lucas seems like good injector clearer. Just added Concentrated Seafoam fuel injector cleaner to my tank tonight. Wish I saw this first. Hoping the Seafoam makes a difference. THANKS!! Great videos.
Thanks, any news: on Se@foam, that is noticeable?
@@opera93 A little but I have a misfire on Cylinder 3. Gotta take the air induction, Throttle body, and intake manifold off to replace gaskets. Then I can check the coil pack and replace plugs. Pretty sure I have an oil leak into the plug well so just gonna replace PCV and all the gaskets while I have it apart and can get to it. Intake, valve covers, etc. This Ford 3.0L Duratec DOHC is an engineering nightmare to work on bank 1. Right up against the firewall. I'll get it done though.
Lucas is a great product but I feel this additive made my truck a little sluggish feeling. I switched to MMO (marvel mystery oil) and it runs like a sewing machines
Can it sew green sthocks?.
I use lucas at 3 times the recommended dose with 92 octane fuel in my 2013 hemi truck, by 3/4 tank(has 31 gallon tank) i notice huge difference in power, smoother and response then at next fill up i add marvelous mystery oil. I tried all cleaners i could find and this combo has been excellent.
I run this same dose etc every 6 months, every time I feel a difference, but in my ls3 camaro I do not really feel a change or my other vehicles.
Mmo literally just fixed my Honda’s oil burning issue. It’s kinda mind blowing lmao
@@jonolson5397 a new oem pcv valve fixed my oil problem in my Honda now i need to work on the fuel injectors I'm still looking around to see which brand works the best
It's always Lucas in all my vehicles. Can't live without it
Hard to know scientifically for me but I've used Lucas Fuel Cleaners for 10 years in all my cars. At 89K my Chevy ran like brand new, at 103K my Cadillac ATS also runs and idles like brand new. It must work. But did Nate get paid for this by Lucas? That 'pee' test didn't seem realistic.
I use Lucas in my boats gas tank. RUNS. AWESOME.
I'm on the second gallon of this stuff. I add it at every fill up and it does help with mpg by about 1.5 per gallon. makes the engine idle much more quiet than with out. Start ups seem much easier/faster. The exhaust has a gun powder smell now which I like but it just seems odd
What car do you drive
That's probably carbon bi product being exhausted! Basically gunk bring vaporized and flushed out!
i'll give it the cleaner injectors but raise compression, how does that work?
What was the brand name of that beer you drank to work that fast?
Bud it was wiser
Buying the Lucas tomorrow here in Australia the bottle is $32, and it seems to be well worth it.
AMSOIL just came out with a replacement for the Lucas treatment and they have them all beat. I just bought a large supply of them.
Upper cylinder lube .
And there P. I. Intake and gas cleaner. I also use there signature synthetic oil series premium, I am not a dealer, I am a preferred customer since 1979 an I have never had to rebuild a motor, I also use there oil filters .
Buy there products speak for themselves you can check out this online and U tube. I like Lucas treatment and have used it regularly but when AMSOIL came out with a replacement I switched over.
I've heard alot of good things about amsoil. Thinking about running it in my transmission.
Next week I will be putting amsoil auto transmission fluid in my dodge charger RT. And in the rear end .
I use Amsoil signature synthetic in my 1999 mercury cougar 154,000 miles and my dodge charger
2013 rt. Hemi 81,000 miles
And 2017 Ford Mustang Ecoboost premium 2.3 turbo
With 9,000 miles on it. All run Amsoil signature synthetic.
I’ve tried Seafoam vs. Supertech on my car and was not impressed by SuperTech at all. It had a very bad smell and it really didn’t deep clean as much as SeaFoam. I’m really not surprised by this test. Great comparison.
Buddy used to add Lucas to every tank in his 300k mile Cummins hauling 20k lbs. Gave the truck to his sister and she didn't add the Lucas and blammo. Blew the motor
