    Tim. I’ve owned 14 BMWs in 16 years. Just bought my first Audi a year ago. Very pleased with it. So practical. Reliable. Remember BMW stands for… Break My Wallet!!!!

      Honestly, either you bought 14 wrong bmw’s or you can’t take care of them.
      I had 8 bmw’s, one of them was a pain in the ass because it was already 14 years old ( e46 M3) and the previous owner didn’t knew how to take care of it. So I took care of it. Now owner of F82 M4 since 4 years, 167k km on it with no problem whatsoever. Only oil changes, brake fluid, brakes,.. just the normal wearable things.

      @@hgrigo13 how daft. Nothing wrong with all 14… 2 of my BMWs were fully featured in U.K. bmw magazines. 2 were bmw car show trophy winners. All immaculate condition. Head turners. All 14 had full service history. Many were all full bmw history. With every receipt, stamped service book and all receipts. 4 one off custom resprayed, custom leather interior retrims, unique mods, daily drives. Some of us like to buy a different bmw or car often, change our cars very frequently. Keep it tip top, perfect throughout. It’s a petrol heads lifestyle.

      @@bimmerflex5526 so what’s up with your story with ‘brake my wallet’? If you decide to put tremendous amount of money in it, that doesn’t mean that bmw’s are unreliable. You can do that same treatment to a reanault clio and spend too much money on it.
      With comments like that you falsely influence people into thinking that bmw’s are unreliable.

    Another good review 👍
    I had a stage 2 Mapped 2016 Audi TTS Convertible. That thing was brilliant. Rapid, sure footed, torquey, steered well, stopped well, unflappable and looked gorgeous inside and out but I LOATHED it! 400bhp and my granny could drive it. It had the dullest engine note ever unless you’re at the redline.
    Could the same criticism be levelled at the RS5? Maybe! At least it does have an engine that sounds good at all revs. I supposed it would be down to the awd bias. BMW make the awd feel rwd, if the same is true of the RS5 then it would be a worthy drivers car. If not, the it’s for those of little talent!
    Just my opinion 😜

    I really really dont understand when people say the audi is "more or a comfort grand tourer" IT HAS BETTER LAP TIMES THWN THE M3 COMP AND M4 COMP XDRIVE. I drove all 3 and had better lap times in the rs5. In the bmws during very sharp corners the m3 and m4 oversteered in the worst possible times which just makes it so horrible on track and feels like im driving on ice. Audi rs4 has better lap times than the m3 touring too. I can happily send you links and lap times. Keep in mind the audi comes with the hankook tyres. Which arent as grippy as the michelin that the bmws come with.

    This is the car an adult gets. The M3/M4 is what boy racers with inheritance from Dad get. Tongue in cheek, I love my old E91 wagon and BMWs in general. But the new M cars are too shouty and too track oriented. They’ve lost the spirit of the classic M cars of the 90s and 2000s. If the next generation RS5 further improves dynamics and increases performance a bit they will be M car slayers. IF.

    @Pain4yourmind Год назад

    Let be honest if your a driver you chose the BMW, if you don’t like the look of the new grill then get the previous model and the manual version. You can also do some basic power mods with the money saved that will leave the newer Audi behind. On a track where 0-60 doesn’t matter the BMW is always better. It’s the chasis balance that shines through, the Audi is soft in comparison. RWD is just better also has less drivetrain losses so better med-high speed performance for the same hp. The screen on the dash looks awful as well as the ugly steering wheel so it may have a better front end than the bmw but not better looking on the inside, even over the older model.

      I think the audi rs5 has a better interior design and the digital driver display on the audi is better audi is know for that. But I do agree that of you a driver than the m4 is the one to get. Even as a coupe I would go with the m4. But as a sedan then you can consider the rs5 as a car to get.
