How’s this for an all-new epic drag race!
We’ve got Mat in the all-new BMW M4, and he’s lining up alongside the Mercedes-AMG C63 S & Audi RS5!
So how do they match up? First up we've got the M4, and under the bonnet you’ll find a 3-litre straight-six which can deliver 510hp & 660Nm of torque.
As for the AMG, well it’s not too different. It may have a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 instead, but it can also deliver 510hp, coupled with 700Nm. Finally we have the RS5, which has a 2.9-litre V6 which can put down 450hp and 600Nm of torque.
Think the Audi is the underdog? Well it has one key benefit - Quattro AWD! As for both the BMW and AMG? Well, they've only got RWD! Will that make the difference? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

Lol, who even takes these drag races seriously?! The difference in times is usually milliseconds, which just comes down to human reaction times. All drivers will react at different rates, down to the millisecond. To get more reliable times, you would have to repeat the drag race 1000 times or something, and then get the average from these runs, while accounting for vehicle performance deterioration somehow. Or you could completely remove the human element somehow and have computers on timers launching the cars, although I don't believe that technology exists.
Mat's logic:
If I win, I win and that's it.
If you win, we keep trying until I win and then I gloat in your face

If you look at how close the rolling was between Merc and Audi you can see the true difference 510hp and 450hp (with AWD). So basically BMW fanboys are getting excited about a car that lies about it's power just so it can get an unfair advantage cause it's previous model was always losing. Basically a man on steroids competing with natural athletes and acting like a natural athlete. BMW should learn from Porsche how to make cars faster with less power. It's ridiculous 😂😂😂😂

M4 is incredible once it gets going, but it needed that jump start to beat the RS 5. Over a shorter distance I found the Audi to be untouchable 🏁

Bro the launch control system starts in 2nd gear because there's way too much torque for the tires to handle. Same with the M340i - it will launch in 1st gear but the tires got no chance and will just get lit up (I've tried to launch one several times and I had to adjust throttle input myself to get the best launch). AWD is an absolute must for me - will compete with the RS5 on launch and pull away at speed no competition 🔥🔥

Even their fwd is far behind by now. While it’s possible to select fwd or rwd in the M5 and upcoming G80s, Audis are still on the basis of front wheel scratching toy cars - expensive VW’s, nothing else. That’s pathetic.

Actually, the RS5 and M4 had almost identical start, but the measuring equipment, that eliminates the jump factor, shows that the M4 is faster on 1/4 mile on a damp surface than AWD RS5.

He also lost the brake test and said he won
Mat timed the M3 1/4 mile in 11.6 seconds...in other video I saw the M3 did 1/4 mile in 11.4 seconds so the M3/M4 wins all day everyday except in wet track and it's when the AWD version comes out its win in every where

I have found that I get the best traction in my C63 by short-shifting 1st gear when I use manual mode... In race mode/auto it short shifts for me. I also switched out to Pilot PS4S tires which made a bit of a difference. In addition, I use launch control but I still pedal it to launch at around 3000 instead of 3500... Still not gonna beat that Audi off the line and that new M4 is a beast. But at least the launch is more optimal than otherwise.
You will beat it if you tune e63 to same hp as M4 ie 580hp.
I was in my S5 and just got smoked by a C63 AMG (6.2L). So I came to see how the RS5 fared against the C63. And I must say I am pleased!
Matt you know when you do a sound check in a BMW you need to press M2 on the steering wheel. It will sound better
