Spray that powder with water before you mix it in. Makes all the difference in the color.

Do you bag the icing and let the colors develop or do you have it develop in the bowls with a damp paper towel over it for a couple of hours? Changing the paper towel to maintain the dampness?

Put it in the microwave for 10 seconds and let cool and then whip it up again 😊

Thanks!! I was wondering if you could do this with royal icing. I knew you could do it with buttercream but couldn’t find out if it would work with royal icing as well :)

How much is your cookie camp class? I'm trying to add sugar cookies to my home baking business but I don't even know where to start. I know I want a really good recipe that has cream cheese, but no almond I don't like the taste of almomd extract. I want a cookie that holds its have bit does not get hard that stays soft to bite also I'm terrified to try to decorate fear of messing up long story . Can you pleases tell me your recipe or tell me where the best recipe can be found yours look amazing.

I have followed these instructions and adding that much gel coloring makes the icing bitter. I use the Americolor as well and used the measurements you used. Does your icing have a little bitter taste to it. I have used even less gel and it is still bitter. Any suggestions?? The color is good but bitter!!

I have never used the powdered color. Does it have a better or worse taste than the regular gel color?

Is it possible to over mix your icing when adding colour?

Thanks so much for the additional information. I do have a different baking question...please help! Why do my butter cookies lose their shape in the oven? I've put them in the frog and freezer for 20-15 minutes after I pipe them, but to no avail.
