When you go to Kerala if you can , the 800 year old famous Synagogue is worth a visit . The Maharaja protected the Cochin Jews. So the Ashkenazi white Jews and Sephardic black Jews integrated together. Due to the Spanish/Portugese Cleansing of the Jews. The antisemitism was part of the Goan Diaspora. There is a Jew Street in Goa , but Jews were driven out , whilst the Maharaja protected the Cochin Jews. India and Israel have good relations.

Sally, Liam and Janine really are showing us INCREDIBLE India arent they. This video was my favourite as it was well away from tourist areas which can have tourist traps and scams. I much prefer the authentic places. I'm basing my opinion on my 3 year solo travel trip to India ❤️

Hi , Actually coming to India soon. I think 3 Feb in Madurai area. So maybe you will have left by then which is a shame. Been to Pondi 2018 so was surprised you paid £35 for a night. I paid £10 then so now a bit of a worry that maybe prices are up but I am a cheapskate. For middle of Pondi but walking distance for me from a French cafe and the beach area. I booked I think on gobibo site. But then have a night in Chennai at not much more. I was surprised you are able to drive in India, I understood not possible. Is that on an international licence or just a UK one? Not that I drive, I take the bike. I was cycling in Pondi so surprised you were told driving was mad. Watch the police road blocks though, nearly cycled into one. At speed, doing interval training so 25 MPH. But on dehydration, well never an issue for me. But I like the heat. But I stay in India 7 weeks, I stay in Rameswaram 3 weeks and then will decide where the train takes me. Madurai or Pondi are not too far away so those are options. But I favour rural areas to be fair, I was in Koraput for some time but then Pondi is favourite for me. Haven't booked on from Rameswaram yet on the train basically because I need to get a Hotel first and can't get one unless I am in India on the Gobibo site as doesn't work in UK.
What happy days you are having ❤ Liam you are becoming more Indian by the day adopting the little nod of the head as they do. Loving your content safe as you go looking forward to next weeks peace ☮️
Loving this India series - very entertaining and informative! Janine is looking so much better/healthier and happier which is nice to see. Looking forward to the next episode! xx
Good morning, beautiful people. You look like you two are really enjoying your trip. I like the costings and heat rating of food consumed on the screen. The way you portray the friendliness of the people. They could really teach us the art of 'getting by' in life. Take care.
AGREED. India is an adventure of a lifetime for the soul for sure. I did 3 years of solo travelling in India and recently returned from that trip!!!!! 🤩
Hello from Rhodes Greece, the people are amazing ❣️ I loved all the places you took us to so interesting. Thank you so much 🥰 . Love you both ❤️😘 God bless you both 🙏.

What a fantastic experience that you’ve thrown yourselves wholeheartedly into. I fell in love with the indian people when I spent 3 weeks in Mumbai on business a few years ago; an assault (mostly good) on all the senses! and incredibly friendly and lovely people. Yes Stella Liam and Janine are portraying India v well. It's relatively safe to travel in India. I say this based on my 3 year experience of solo travel vlogging in India ❤️
Thank you Stella, we are pleased people are seeing a different light to it all! The people are what make india, and they are majority wonderful human beings

@@jagnikghosh ABSOLUTELY ❤️ I did 3 years solo traveling in India as a woman. It was great at times but at other times I lived in fear. I did document my experiences on my youtube channel ❤️
Just been looking at distances and travel times from the North of India to the South. From New Delhi to Puducherry it's 2345km by road and takes 40hrs of travelling time. The travelling time is approximately the same by train.
@@clowndodger6322 That's true. I was on a train from Delhi to Puri and took many hours more. Leading me to get there at 11 PM at night. I think ended up 38 hour trian trip. It was better on way back. This time I go Chennai by plane, and then train to Rameswaram on the Rameswaram express. Its a sleeper so I hope its late (a bit) as it gets there 4.10 AM. And I can't check in till 3 PM or so at Hotel. Rmaeswaram I got wrong, thought it was nearer Madurai as a Madurai address. The state of Madurai as opposed to the town.
40 hours from Chennai, was it changing somewhere. From Delhi direct train to Puri and end of line. No 1st class on train, only 2nd but crucial difference is 4 bunks in 2 but in 1A I think two and you may get lucky. And be just you. In 1A once I had cash taken out of my wallet and just one person it could have been, tte other passenger. So they came for the cash for meal , no cash so couldn't pay. The guy I assume took my cash paid for my meal. He of course denied it, didn't care really but caused an issue. I borrowed his WiFi on phone and transferred to Caxton card from bank account, but didn't come quickly enough. So used Barclaycard at ATM and oddly didn't pay for a cash transaction. I think because ATM on station. As came on statement as Indian rail. I wouldn't use bank account as min charge, 2.75% or £5 from memory. So it means say £30 pay £5. Barclaycard 2.99% no min. How did you get new passport in Puri?
I don't usually comment on you tube, but you two are so brave doing what your doing, I love the India tour makke me feel I am there with you thank you guys for the great content enjoy the rest of your trip.

These temples are lovely and the carvings on front unique. At the very end of video as the song plays I thought there was a dog in the Tuk Tuk beside Janice's legs, but closer I looked it was a rucksack (I think) 😆.
Actually this is the way really one have to travel and see India...Take an Autorikshaw travel the whole India..WoW... Then only one can see and feel the culture of all places in India...Each and every place is unique in food, culture, people, language,accent...
Enjoyed the dramatic pouring and ladling of all those spicy beverages! So fun! The animated mixing of the coconut in that large pot of spicy brew had me riveted and chuckling! Omg! U both look so happy! Carry on, brave souls!

@@vanisridhar5509 I'm British Indian. I was born and brought up in England. My parents did take me travelling in India during my childhood. Then as an adult I spent 3 years travelling alone in India. That trip stole my heart in many ways. Re I met some of the KINDEST GIVING people in the whole world. Never in my life had I experienced such selflessness from others. But sadly I was also targeted when I did slow travel as some men did not approve of a single woman in their society. When I did fast travelling I had INCREDIBLE times on the buses and trains. The locals looked after me and i felt very empowered. In fact I vlogged that experience on my youtube channel. I gave the perspective of being a British Indian woman in Indian society. You are welcome to watch if u wish ❤️

Absolutely astounding video! Your bravery during this epic adventure is outstanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you both! As I sit in my dark, quiet room, looking out at the rainy evening in Ohio, I appreciate you both even more. God's speed.

Thanks for the great entertaining adventures. Love the rickshaw and your enthusiasm and trepidation! Hope this keeps you in 2 stroke oil and thali for a while!
It is interesting to see my city through your eyes :) You guys missed tasting Jigardanda which is a cold drink that you would not find it in other cities that easily. I know some Madurai restaurants in cities like Chennai and Bangalore do sell them..but its not the same :) Choosing an Auto rather than a car for you travel is a surprising decision..but I can see several advantages of it. Enjoy the trip of rest of India!
I am SO grateful for your wonderful videos, so well made and refreshing and showing us the true essence of India! I am a world citizen at heart but haven't been able to travel for the past 4 years so I was so happy to find your channel! I am travelling through your eyes and it is filling my soul❤

Can't believe how much you are packing in so far! Unlike me in Goa in 2007 where I just sat around drinking lassi and doing a little yoga for 3 months (though a few of us did venture to hampi for 2 weeks in between). Its nice to finally see so much of India on your travels! Thank you!
Ali how did u find Goa? I did solo travelling in India for 3 years and always preferred the places off the beaten path as opposed to tourist resorts such as Goa and Dharamshala. I did like Gokarna as it was v authentic in the town area. And I LOVED Sanapur in Hampi. Hampi and Gokana do have tourist places but equally so they also have pure authentic places too 🕉️

Loved your Autorikshaw travel thru back roads of India. State of Karnataka has several extraordinary sculpted temples. Maharashtra's Kailasa temple, world's wonder, how they did thousand(s) of years ago without modern excavating tools, jackhammer to cut into hard granite type rock and scoop out thousands of tons of rock, must have taken generations. Ancient temples are works of extraordinary art.
Another amazing video guys! Thank you so much. Transported me from my flu ridden bed with sleety rain outside. Pure joy to watch. Continue to take care and have fun 🙏❤️🌞🌶️🇮🇳

Joyce I also like how Liam and Janine show the spice levels. I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India but never thought to show the spice levels on the vlogs. Yes... I do wonder about the rickshaw driving as it's small and the roads are CRAZY ❤️

Sally, Liam and Janine really are showing us INCREDIBLE India arent they. This video was my favourite as it was well away from tourist areas which can have tourist traps and scams. I much prefer the authentic places. I'm basing my opinion on my 3 year solo travel trip to India ❤️
If you liked this video, we all have videos in Kanyakumari, Thanjavur, Trichy, Pondicherry, Auroville, and Chennai

Thank you. It just gets better and better. You seem to be welcomed everywhere with open arms. As always stay safe xx❤
Thank you for taking us with you! It’s awesome!!! X
Very good vlog....needs more subscribers and views! Onto Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari!!
Thank god you’ve started your trip from south 👍🏽 otherwise you would have not felt the same way as you did.. cheers guys love from UK 🇬🇧
What happy days you are having ❤ Liam you are becoming more Indian by the day adopting the little nod of the head as they do. Loving your content safe as you go looking forward to next weeks peace ☮️
Haha we are having a bet who adopts the head waggle first, I was hoping it was janine but looks like I am losing
Loving this India series - very entertaining and informative! Janine is looking so much better/healthier and happier which is nice to see. Looking forward to the next episode! xx
She's buzzing thank you
Thanks for taking us to India with you. Loving the sights and believe it or not I'm sure I can smell it too from the wonderful way you described it.
Your VLOGS around India are brilliant. You are doing wonders for India's Tourism board.
By the comments it seems like india is on a lot of peoples bucket lists now
Very true. India owes a lot to this amazing couple who is showing real India.
Good morning, beautiful people. You look like you two are really enjoying your trip. I like the costings and heat rating of food consumed on the screen. The way you portray the friendliness of the people. They could really teach us the art of 'getting by' in life. Take care.
It just looks like the adventure of a lifetime for the soul 🙏🏼❤️ Thank you for sharing with us all x
AGREED. India is an adventure of a lifetime for the soul for sure. I did 3 years of solo travelling in India and recently returned from that trip!!!!! 🤩

What a amazing city. I love how Janine gives us the history of the town , the Temple and the museums at every stop. I love history 😊. Also I love your playlists and I think where do you find all these songs and music. Thank you for me along. Cheers
Thank you, pleased you like the videos
Same.... I LOVE Janine's commentaries. Their video quality is v high and the commentaries are well research and professional. Liam and Janine should be on the tele and also on netflix ❤️
What a fantastic experience that you’ve thrown yourselves wholeheartedly into. I fell in love with the indian people when I spent 3 weeks in Mumbai on business a few years ago; an assault (mostly good) on all the senses! and incredibly friendly and lovely people. Following your travels with a huge amount of interest and not a little jealousy. We love your chatty presentation style - safe travels and look forward for the next informative and exciting instalment.
Thanks so much 🙏
Such a lovely couple and I really look forward to viewing your new adventures in beautiful, enchanting India every time you post. You are really brave and fearless driving that tuk tuk. All the best!
Hi Janine and Liam, wow I have never seen such an amazing place as India, you often hear negative comments about India but all I can see on your travels is amazing places and lovely people, I’m so enjoying your travels through all the places your visiting and the food look amazing, take care you two much love xxxxxxxxxxxxx😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
India is a journey to life hence there are few unwanted things
But that is reality don't ignore it accept it
Then India will give you a sublime experience
Thank you so much! Really appreciate you commenting mate
I am loving your travels through India! So incredible! ♥️🙏🏼
So pleased 🙏
Rosie so am I 😀 I recently returned home from India after 3 years of solo travel vlogging and Those Happy Days are encouraging me to return to India 😀❤️🕉️
Hi guys, madurai is my native. Its great to see you guys enjoyed our place and good to see comments from other foreigners also want to visit our place. Great work guys. Have a nice trip in India!
in India, Temple cities are much more awesome and nicer than metro cities or tourism sites...
Hi I'm from Madurai, India. I never know your channel but my office is near Gandhi museum. Where you are now in India. And loving to see enjoying my Madurai city. Thank for visiting. And people who are watching your India tour will know our culture with you. Grateful to you both ❤️ 💛 💓 💕 💖 💗 ❤️
These temples are lovely and the carvings on front unique.
🙏🇮🇳✨️
Enjoyed the dramatic pouring and ladling of all those spicy beverages! So fun! The animated mixing of the coconut in that large pot of spicy brew had me riveted and chuckling! Omg! U both look so happy! Carry on, brave souls!
🤣🤣
The Gandhi museum was emotional for me, how amazing to see his glasses. Another fantastic video, love it.
It was emotional for us too, its something else to be that close to his personal possessions, of which he had very little
Really getting in to this India series. Nice work, well done.
🙏✨️🇮🇳
I live in France france and love my food I'm not a vegetarian or vegan but the food you guys have looks brilliant I could happily eat that keep up the good work
Thats great to hear! Indians do Plant Based Food so well
One day you will eat that bro don't worry ❤️
Such a great series, did chuckle when you had the spiceometer for eating fruit 😂…it was hotter than the pancake.
🤣🤣🤣 it bloody was
You two are right at the top of your game right now I’m totally hooked your blog on India is just perfect.
Keep up the great work . See you soon can’t wait.
Ah thanks so much mate, haha, really nice thing to comment 🙏
@07:13 don't use unfit terms "very cheap". Instead use terms "economic, genuine, value for money". Idly is world's best food, that is given with clean, taste & love. Happy that you both visited my native Trichy. Have a happy & safe Travel.
Oh some amazing footage there, really appreciate the work you put in. Looks like you 2 are living your best life and are loving India. That temple is amazing. Take care both ✌️❤️🙏
Dear J & L, Thank you so much for your vlogs. The music, drone footage and you two are priceless. You are doing Pete proud. The Indian ladies with J were so beautiful and joyful. The temples are incredible. Cheers!
Wow. I just love the hospitality of the people! And I literally got goosebumps when you were in the Ghandi museum! Wow! And Janine's face when she ate the guava! Hilarious!
Cyndee I feel that Liam and Janine are currently filming a very positive side of India. Re away from tourist traps and tourist scams. They are such super vloggers to get off the beaten path and show us the beauty of real India. I'm forming this opinion after my 3 year solo travel vlogging stint in India ❤️🕉️❤️
@travellingyoginikas7682 oh I agree! I just love them!
@@cyndeeh me 2 😀❤️😀
@@travellingyoginikas because you are indian
Absolutely gorgeous, love all of this vlog I have always wanted to go too India. Don't think I will manage it. So watching you two do all this is so awesome. Thank you so much. Take care and Blessings to you both XXX
✨️🛺💓
Welcome to India..you will manage it and won't regret it...
Videos like these throw a more realistic picture of the chaotic yet somehow beautiful Indian streets than the stereotypical color graded visuals from movies.
Wish you both a lovely trip :)
Absolutely astounding video! Your bravery during this epic adventure is outstanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you both! As I sit in my dark, quiet room, looking out at the rainy evening in Ohio, I appreciate you both even more. God's speed.
✨️🙏
I just had a beautiful Indian takeaway earlier and now I'm sipping on peppermint tea while watching this epic vlog.. I'm loving your India adventures 💚
A proper 4D experience for you haha
@@ThoseHappyDays it actually was 😂😂👌 thanks 👍
Happy for you guys ..exploring our cities and respecting our tradition ..keep rocking have a wonderful time ahead 😎 cheers with love from chennai
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for the great entertaining adventures.
Thank you for the lovely comment 🙏

Very enjoyable episode. Loved seeing around Madurai and the food looked amazing 🤩
Thanks guys, beautiful people beautiful food
Janine is certainly nice and enthusiastic going with the flow . You go girl.
Best yet! Just magnificent. ..you both look totally happy...fab. I was van based in the UK for about twelve years...work autumn winter...travel spring summer...dream fulfilled after a kiddy fascination with the wagon trains in western films! Never abroad but plenty of adventures. ..my version of Happy Days!! Keep going peeps!

Sarah they sure are v entertaining to watch. I recently returned from a 3 year solo travel stint in India and now I'm obsessed with Those Happy Days indian series lol 😀❤️🕉️
Certainly changed my mind about travelling in India. Thank you. It's so much fun
You should!
Heading for our trip to southern India on Tuesday! So happy to have found your you tube channel! Sadly I can’t eat all that yummy food just diagnosed with diabetes and am diet managed. Hubby will certainly be eating for me! Excited for our second trip to this very hospitable country! Keep these awesome videos coming, so very enjoyable.
Amazing! Where you off to?
Doctors in India are really good. Ask them to advise you on the type of Indian food you can eat as a diabetic.
I hope you visit Kerala ♥️
What a fabulous adventure you are having. Love watching it. Thanks.
Really pleased you are enjoying it
It's different to see the life style of the people from your perspective. Thank you guys for the wonderful vlog 💐😊
Our pleasure! Thank you
Seeing From Tamil Nadu, India. Our Special Food and Drinks. Thank You so Much for Exploring. Very good vlog.... GBU

THIS AWESOME JOURNEY CONTINUES LOVE TO SEE YOU GUYS ENJOYING YOUR TRAVELS KEEP SAFE ❤
Absolutely fabulous vlogs, could watch you two every day 😊 love seeing being on the Indian streets with all its wonderful chaos, the food, the history, you should have a million followers one of the best channels on YT ❤
Looby I AGREE. Liam and Janine should have over 1M followers as they are one of the best RUclips channels I have ever come across. They should be public figures and also do work for TV and netflix ❤️
Fantastic video the food looks amazing and people friendly.
Fantastic travels, local food looks and sounds amazing, wish we could taste it too ❤️😘
Can't believe how much you are packing in so far! Unlike me in Goa in 2007 where I just sat around drinking lassi and doing a little yoga for 3 months (though a few of us did venture to hampi for 2 weeks in between). Its nice to finally see so much of India on your travels! Thank you!
Nowt wrong with that! When you find somewhere that's chill in India, it's hard to leave
Hampi and Gokana do have tourist places but equally so they also have pure authentic places too 🕉️
@@travellingyoginikas I loved Goa and met friends for life there, and was not in good health at the time, so just doing a bit of yoga was helpful. But Hampi was amazing and I was glad I had 3 weeks there.
@@alidolloso1704 omg I LOVED LOVED LOVED Hampi 😀❤️ I got the bus there from Gokarna. It was a straightforward 6-8hour journey to the main town. The people and the place were INCREDIBLE ❤️ The world Heritage site with Vishnu's carriage was spectacular but my favourite place was Sanapur Village as it portrayed local life so authentically ❤️
@@travellingyoginikas Yes I rememver Sanapur Village, it was so authentic. There was also an angry baboon who demanded my whole bag of bananas, when I offereed him just one, he would not let me pass until I handed over the whole bunch!
Hi,❤️ From India ,
🙏Welcome to Tamilnadu 😀❤️❤️❤️🙏
You guys are Unique..
Keep exploring ❤️
Love from Chennai
Thank you so much 😀
Loved your Autorikshaw travel thru back roads of India.
Thank you for creating such great content….I think this will buy you lunch in India somewhere 😬
👍🤣
Thank you so much, we didn't see it was a super thanks before commenting before. That is the price of a tasty lunch thank you
Brilliant again. I’m loving the sights and sounds but also the thoughtful, affectionate narrative running throughout. ❤️
Glad you are enjoying the videos, as much as we are making them
Another amazing video guys! Thank you so much. Transported me from my flu ridden bed with sleety rain outside. Pure joy to watch. Continue to take care and have fun 🙏❤️🌞🌶️🇮🇳
Our pleasure, get well soon 🙏
Love the way you described the South Indian foods like Idli Vada Sambar, Parathi paal etc. But you guys missed on the Jigarthantha a famous drink in Madurai. Maybe next time you can try that.
Loving watching your Indian adventures, understanding more about life there and the food you are eating (inc the spice levels)! Am curious how comfortable is that rickshaw for long journeys? x
Yes me too we had to study Ghandiji and his Philosophy of Satyagraha at University. My favourite study 📚.
Joyce I also like how Liam and Janine show the spice levels. I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India but never thought to show the spice levels on the vlogs. Yes... I do wonder about the rickshaw driving as it's small and the roads are CRAZY ❤️
Love seeing all the food and explaining about the idea. Looks like a trip that grabs all your senses. Thanks for sharing. Journey safe!
All this food that you can eat, must be great... I only wish you could share the aromas that must be everywhere around you, good and bad... ;) Well done on another amazing episode on the incredible life of Mr. and Mrs. Day. :)
Haha you won't want the bad ones, trust me
Thanks for picturing our countries pride..!👍🏻
So happy you guys are loving India. You definitely have picked one of the best places to visit. We ate with the taxi and rickshaw drivers whenever in a busy city. Fabulous guys😍 love love love it❤️brings back happy memories. Look out for fresh pineapples growing along the side of roads in remote villages 😋.
Ooo nice one will do
Nice to see your video regarding Madurai. Congrats and wishes for your visit.

Break the borders across the world!! Happy Travelling!! - Madurai guy from Poland.
I like how you've learned to say "lime soda" with an accent. I've found myself doing the same thing when travelling so that I could be understood easier. It's not Indian, but it's not exactly "English" either.
Haha so true, you end up doing it naturally
Chris lol lol lol that's REALLY funny 😀 when I did my solo travelling in India I spoke with an Indian accent as the locals wanted me to say the words properly lol 😀
