Delhi Gate and India Gate are two different places. You mixed them up and got down at the wrong station. Delhi Gate is the starting point of Shahjahanabad, or the so-called Old Delhi area, which was the capital city of the Mughal Empire. It is one of the several gates to enter the fortified Walled City of Shahjahanabad. It still stands there but is disconnected from the Wall after the latter was destroyed by the British East India Company armed forces during the First War of Indian Independence in 1857. A lot many other structures in Shahjahanabad (so-called Old Delhi) were also destroyed by the British at that time. However, the Delhi Gate is still there and you can see it. It is the southernmost gate of Shahjahanabad and is called so because this gate led towards the older imperial capital cities in Delhi that belonged to the empires preceding the Mughal Empire. So, because that gate pointed towards the older "Delhis", the gate was called Delhi Gate. Likewise, the gate that pointed towards Ajmer was called Ajmeri Gate, the gate which pointed towards Lahore was called Lahori Gate, the one pointing towards Kashmir was called Kashmiri Gate, and so on. India Gate, on the other hand, lies in New Delhi which was the capital city of the British Empire. It was built by the British and still stands without any damage. Delhi is a very ancient city and has a huge history. It has served as the centre of power of the Indian Subcontinent for more than a millennium and has had a decisive impact on the history and culture of most of the Indian Subcontinent. The most prominent lingua franca of the subcontinent, i.e., the Hindi-Urdu twin language was also born in Delhi during the medieval era. So, Delhi's history is huge and the spread of its heritage is also massive. Its history is also very fascinating. So, if you are a history lover, Delhi is the place you'd want to be in and explore it for days!
Your benevolence is truly admirable, demonstrating kindness towards everyone you encounter. Moreover, your commitment to aiding those less fortunate exemplifies a commendable virtue.

Then travel to duhai depot and come back with next train from there to sahibabad rrts railway. Its very easy to reach there to experience india first namo train. Okey here are some tips for u visiting delhi. 1. Always be an extrovert. 2. Don't eat street food much ; try to go to restorents for amazing food. 3. If u take auto's ( tuktuk) then don't ask them how much for the ride ; just sit on any tuk tuk and tell them i want to go there and after the ride just pay them 10 rupees for 1 km and 20 rupees for 2 or 3 km . 4.for longer distance try to book a cab or metro . 5. Don't put your wallet or mobile phone in very crowded place ; put them into your bag . Hope u like these tips . Enjoy ur trip.

Soooper nice Davud bro!! Enjoy your time in our country! God bless you!
I imagine Google Maps or something can be used no? The subway system looks really nice, wish it wouldn't take us 15 years to construct one here in Toronto, at least where good by North American standards. The security was a little weird though.
yep google maps are very useful as it tells u 95% accurately where to go .. security system is like a normal security in airport like passing through a metal detector and then putting ur luggage on x ray type of thing to check the luggage
Wow, she was super surprised that you had opened your heart to help her. Greatly appreciated 😮❤

I lived in Delhi for many years in the 80s. It is heartening to see that my country has progressed so much.
I am impressed to see the Metro stations and trains.
Its normal in delhi and metropolitan citys
Thnks And i am metro man 😊
Employee of delhi metro.
Love you david brother love from india 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
9:55 bro i suggest you to experience India first ever rrts project which is very nearer to you in uttar pradesh.
Rrts rail is namo train which travel at 140 speed.
Where metro train speed is 35-40 max.
You have to just reach last station of red line in delhi metro that is new bus adda.
Then reach to sahibabad rrts railway station using auto rickshaw.
Then travel to duhai depot and come back with next train from there to sahibabad rrts railway.
Its very easy to reach there to experience india first namo train.
Yes it's India's first namo train which you will experience 😊
Bhai tumlog foreigners ko nayi advanced chizen dikhane ko force kyun karte ho. Wo real India dekhne aate hain. Unke yahan ye sab decades se hai😂
@@Leanmachine148 namo train is real, not imaginary
@@vickyvirk4424 what does that mean? How does it connect to my comment. Unke yahan Namo se better trains 5-6 decades se chal rhe hain jab apne yahan bailgaadi chalti thi. Check information on London, New York, Tokyo subways, Japan bullet trains
I really love to see your videos from India, Nepal Sri Lanka etc., since I can't go anywhere that's why I feel so amazed watching you everytime
Why can’t go anywhere my friend 😎
@@Mabeltrots I'm not financially stable. Don't have money to spend in travelling.
When you talk local people then i feel interesting watch your vedio. ❤Love from Bangladesh
David you are such an incredible gentleman. It was such an honour watching your video :)
India Gate is NOT the same as Delhi Gate, Kashmir Gate, etc. All of these latter names mark the site of one of the gates of the OLD WALLED CITY. India Gate is a national monument.
Why did you not search your cell phone before setting out for the exact station as well as COLOR LINE to take on the Metro?
Amazing the way u explain India may the supreme bless u
Thanks @Davud_Akh ..for showing the independent and powerful lady of India. Eventhough she don't know how to use the smartphone but she own a smartphone, this is the beauty of self dependency and showcasing of Indian Progress.
Based School Kids chanting Jay shree ram 💀
Pajeetw loondbhak ki aulaad ❤
😂
Just seeing his Muslim like appearance they started that..very bad..you cannot force a religious slogan upon anybody
Dude what are you saying ?
I believe they had no idea that he was a muslim. Davud is not a common muslim name in south Asia. They all just copied the one kid who initially said"Ram Ram Sariya Ne" which is a haryanvi greeting and others followed him. Not everything is religion. Such a biased comment.
@@mehmudhassan5382 it's a joke buddy calm down , they weren't actually chanting it to tease .
Brother you are kind hearted. you should use language translator for correct understanding. You have inadvertently created some funny moments. 😂
That female driver was really wonderful and hospitable. 😊
Wow, what a journey! The fact that you experienced both the crowded streets and the modern metro is so cool. Any tips for fellow travelers visiting Delhi?
