Under the Lake and Before the Flood are some of the best episodes of the series.

In my opinion his episodes are the only good ones since MATT was the Doctor. Call me a hipster, but apart from his episodes I refused to watch DW this season. Oh, and Listen.
Hypnotist 39 you should've watched Sarah Dollard's Face the Raven, the Zygon 2-Parter and Heaven Sent, there were more good episodes in Series 9 than bad which was awesome
HYPNOTIST 39 I don't think this was a great series personally, but I would definitely recommend Face the Raven and Heaven Sent. And the first half of Hell Bent. And The Girl who Died provided you don't take it too seriously
The bit at 2:20 is really sad in my opinion. The way The Doctor and Clara are holding their hands up and their faces during it breaks my heart.

It might be on the Series 9 soundtrack. It's finally being released this month after so, so long, and the tracklist has been officially released too. You should be able to Google it and all the details will come up, including pre-ordering.

The build up was AMAZING I can never get enough of this show
With the confirmation of Jenna Coleman leaving the series, I think it would have been much scarier who have shown the ghost of Clara at the end of that episode instead of Capaldi.

Can we all agree that Series 9 was the best series of NuWho, and possibly even Doctor Who as a whole?
This one one of the few nice episodes of this season.
When the tension was building up I was just starting at the screen repeatedly saying no no no and then when it revealed him as a ghost I crawled up in a little ball because I was so shocked.

When I first saw this ep, I thought Clara had seen herself as a ghost, rather than the Doctor, being the one who had saved the Doctor before, living and dying all over time and space, I thought she had seen herself.

Possibly the best episode of the season
I saw the episode by DVD last night. I saw his ghost, and I was like "who was that" and when he got closer and I realized it was him, I went all "No, Not Him!"
What a cliffhanger! Reminds me of the amazing RTD era cliffhangers.
Watching this, as soon as I heard Clara I was like "OMG I CANT!!!" I miss her so much!!!
I forget how eerie and unsettling Dr who was. I miss it
I love this two partner. the ending to part one shows that 12& clara have grown since Kill the Moon as Clara knows the Doctor cares too much to leave her behind (before she sees his ghost)
I remember seeing the scene on television and I flipped out
When the water started to come out and they were still talking I was like "Shouldn't you be running?"
Clara: You're going to die! 😱 I saw your ghost!
The Doctor: No, Clara you shouldn't have told me that! 🤦🏼♂️
What amazes me about that scene (although it's in the next episode after this) is that it's why the Time Lords fail all the time. They *always* know what the future holds. They essentially create their own fixed points in time which usually leads to their own destruction. The Doctor averts this by knowing nothing about their future because then, nothing's set in stone! Due to that, The Doctor almost *never* has fixed points in time on their hands! But, on the rare occasion that they do, they play clever tricks to avert the fixed point in time (as seen in this two parter, and in "The Wedding of River Song").

This story was the one for me.
The one that made me cower in fear at night.
So why i'm watching this at 10 at night I have no clue.
I'm 13 by the way. I was 12 when I first saw the episode. Just to give a bit of context.
+The Doctor if you really want more Doctor who scares, go back to the episode "Blink." That freaked me out for days and I was older than you when I first watched it.

The Doctor already interrupted the situation creating a loop, then he can change the loop again and again until he gets it right.
