So is at least $200.000 in disposable income, a ton of time, a ton of patience and knowledge of how to deal with a handicapped child, and whatever other problems and illnesses that will inevitably arise, usually when you least expect it, in the middle of the night when one has to go to the casualty ward (ER in America). Being a parent is a bloody difficult job rife with all manner of unforeseen hurdles. One could never have paid me enough to have taken it all on.
