  • How I fix the problem with this heater , I was about to trash the heater but with the help of a voltmeter I was able to find the problem ( temperature sensor ) and replace it by bridging the contacts , the heater is been working fine for more than a week now no more error codes!

I want to thank you for your video you saved me from a real disaster in the sense that I am camping and it should be around freezing tonight and my heater was not working. I squeezed the sensor together and now it's working thank you so much.

Toss it dude. You are going to burn your house down. Don't say I didn't warn you. Bypassing a broken safety feature is never a solution

I'm Soo glad that worked , but I really recommend to do the wire and soldering, that way you won't have to worry about braking again ,. Another option be to wrap some cable - wire without the soldering in case you don't have one, thank you for watching and have a great day

I have the same problem but I'm still looking for a fix that retains overtemp protection with some kind of thermofuse. I was able to bend the contactor upward make better contact on the overtemp sensor but it failed again.

The only real solution that I found was to do the soldering trick, in this winter the heater has been working 24 /7 for few days straight no problem at all

This is like putting a penny in a fuse box. Better to replace the sensor vs. defeating it.

With all do respect, I'm not sure what you're trying to show in the video. You mention a voltmeter in the description, but you don't show it in the video. Then it appears you use pliers to twist some metal at the bottom of the unit. I'm confused as to what you actually did to fix it. What I was doing for my fix was taking the panel off and using an air compressor to blow out the unit, which works for 3-4 months at a time, then it's time to do it again.

Hmmm, I thought the video was self explaining, the temperature sensor fail in many of this heaters , the sensor that I show, the one I squeeze with the pliers won't make contact when the error code spear, so to be able to get the heater working back in an emergency, I just squeezed the contacts together , that makes the heater work again , I tried to find the sensor , even contact the manufacturer, no response !!!! So at the end I bridge the contacts with some wire and soldering so is pretty much direct contact now no more sensor to fail , is just a quick fix , call it however you want , but according with more than one person here in the comments it actually helped, I'm happy with that , Yes I use a voltmeter to find the problem , that's how I find that the sensor wasn't making contact! If you have a better solution please show us how, I be happy to show the link to your solution , that way people can fix their heaters the correct way, thank you, and have a good day ✌️
