Fixing issue with tip over sensor on DeLonghi TCH8093ER Ceramic tower space heater

DeLonghi TCH8093ER Ceramic tower space heater purchased around 2015 almost within a year had issues with it switching off while indicating a trip over even though the heater itself was neither moved nor touched.
Initially it felt like oversensitive sensor. As years progressed it felt more like there was an issue with the sensor altogether to the point that it always went into the fault mode indicating the heater was tipped over.
Finally, got it sorted.
Removed the tilt ball switch or sensor only to find it would not change state no matter which angle it was held in. Changed those bad ones and the heater is back to working condition.
