Stunning project, I had saved both rolls and just tossed them last week not having any idea what use they’d be for, I purchased beautiful trims from Amazon this summer and didn’t want to fold them up so they still lay across my couch displayed & your ideal tonight came right on time. Now I’ll just save both rolls again to display my new trims. Thanks for sharing ❤❤.
I have made some before,, nothing this fancy. I just used toilet paper rolls. And put a little top on them, noting this dressy now I can go and create some more. I love the idea of cutting the roll and then putting several IN the tube. Now that is perfect. Thank you for making theses you just upped that game! Thank you!!
❤ you could stuff the tubes with paper to give them stability .. (the toilet paper tubes) I make snowman from toilet paper tubes and I stuff the inside with tissue paper, packing paper or plastic grocery bags. Hope this tip helps. Thank you 🙏 for sharing ❤
Absolutely genius ideas here! 🥰🤓 Something like this has been on my 2do list for a while; as I have a mini-suitcase full of trims and laces that is becoming a wee bit crammed & chaotic. Funny though, I nest toilet tubes to use as fire starters in my garden fire pit; and it never occurred to me to use those as a base for spools. 💡 First time here and liked/subscribed. Looking forward to checking out your other videos. Happy crafting! 🥰🤓
Hi Gi. Many thanks for this fantastic idea. I have been saving and disinfecting toilet roll tubes since i watched some of your earlier tutorials on recycling these. This one is another fantastic idea and very useful. Love it.
I'm soooo jelly! Your kitchen towel tubes are bigger and heavier than ours in the US. Ours are pretty much the same as the bathroom (aka toilet) tissue rolls, only longer. But I shall persevere ! Thanks Gi, great tutorial, and just when I needed it too!
Gi I just love this thank you for sharing and I am going to do this because I always forget I have stuff like my ribbon and laces and if I have put I will remember ❤️ ♥️ 💖
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. I love all things that help keep my craft room organized and I will be making these as soon as I collect a couple of TP rolls.
Love these Lace Spools! So pretty! 💖💖💖 Those Lace and Trims are Gorgeous! Great ideas for using our toilet and paper towel tubes! Who would have thought that trash could looks so pretty! TFS - Crafty Hugs! 💖
Gi, you are brilliant! I love the ones made with your own tunes. The purchased ones are a great size, but the cap that goes into the hole seems too thick for my liking. I don't know that these will stack. It's unfortunate that the manufacturer made the top ring so thick. I think you could put these horizontally on your shelving in front of the homemade ones. Another way to display them or a combination would be in a Wicker basket. I think that would be so pretty. You'd still see most of them, and they aren't tucked away anywhere
This is a clever way to keep ribbons & laces. I'll need to start keeping my tubes. I kept some for a while & discarded the rest. oh no!! We always have to tissue rolls anyways. I always have the paper towel rolls as well. Will be making a few of these Gi. Be well, be safe & TYFS
We have started laying wood floors and they suggested plastic sheets under it comes on a tube, ask them to save the tubes will be perfect for this project.👏💞🤗
You are a genius. What I wonderful idea. I have bought lace at store that is similar to what you did. Center is sturdy but top awful so I will had some card at top & bottom so I can reuse them. Thank you so much for such a wonderful idea.
Brilliant!! I have done the Tube System for my Trims and Lace, for a long time. BUT!! your tip of adding extra padding to the top and bottom rim is absolute GENIUS. LOVING that beautiful wide Lace and your amazing Trims, they are stunning. 💕 Thank you for sharing. 💕🏴
I use old wooden clothes pins for my small lace etc. I put them in a open wood box my husband makes for me and I can enjoy looking at them and see easily what I have to pick from.
Excellent tutorial! Beautiful spools!!! I think the cap on Amazon’s version would prevent them from stacking nicely, like those you created from toilet paper rolls. Love the inside lip!!!
An idea passed by me as you were inking. You could ink with different colors according to the trim you were wrapping. If you have different colors of course. Just a thought. Thank you Gi for more inspiration.
I now know, exactly what my first craft will be once I return from vacation! Will be collecting every tube I see. Thank you, Gi, absolutely fantastic. Need a Christmas idea using these - beyond the obvious Christmas ribbon!
Thank you so much Gi, I really really enjoyed watching you creating these different sized spool’s I really really love ❤️ them, and they do look the business don’t they? And I really really love ❤️ how you made that tube sturdier by putting the cut one’s inside I’d have never have thought about doing that. Your so clever and talented too and very very resourceful. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Brilliant!! I absolutely love it! Thank you for sharing this, I really need them. Yours are so much prettier then the ones on Amazon by 100% You are so creative, it amazes me. I have so much lace in baggies that I didn't know what to do with them. I will make a few at a time because I don't want to spend weeks making them... LOL. Have a great rest of your week! 🤗
You r so talented. You make every thing easy
Thank you so much, Hugs Gi x
