Till used to piss around with pyros back in the early days but I think due to an incident they decided to let actual professionals handle that side of things.
Manowar is an American band, who translated their own song, "Heart of Steel" to German "Herz auf Stahl", and got an Italian stadium to serenade them with THE WHOLE SONG... Literally, the lead singer stood there basically like a dumb shit with the microphone held over the crowd the whole time. Not a word... and the band just played on... I saw them live when I was 19. A group of maybe 10 boneheads (racist skinheads) and neo-nazis waited until Du Hast started up and the started goose-stepping and throwing the Nazi salute. They promptly got surrounded and beaten/stomped, most were carried out on stretchers. Still my best concert memory to this day.
Rammstein is very anti-fascism and the Third Reich. It’s so ironic when neo-nazis don’t understand that and think they are for it. Just shows they know nothing about the band they seem to think is on their side.

The man on the keys is Christian "Flake" Lorenz. As the keyboardist, he plays a pretty big part in what makes Rammstein sound so unique. Germans have a reputation for being fans of mostly electro/dance and techno music (like Kraftwerk), and Flake brings that very German techno/keyboard element in and combines it with the hard-rock sound of the drums and guitar. He seems to like to play into that whole "crazy geek" or "mad scientist" role onstage, and the treadmill is kinda part of that.

The action with the fireworks did not even take place in a stadium but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy ) and would be unthinkable in America due to their immense safety regulations. If they go on tour there, the fans miss out on a lot and will never get to see many effects ! By the way Til does this specific move, called "Til Hammer" cause he had dislocated his knee before a concert and repeatedly hit it in the backstage area to bring it back in. The other band members found this movement totally cool so that he he adopted it for the stage ! Apart from the fact that Til is a trained pyrotechnician, at Rammstein concerts a special stage worker is very close to the stage and is connected by a microphone to the person who controls the fire. He feels the temperature on his cheek and gives corresponding instructions whether you can still step it up a notch or the flames have to be reduced.
I saw these legends back in 2011 here in Auckland New Zealand! I remember clearly that it was an outdoor festival concert called “The Big Day Out” (kinda like Coachella) and it was raining that day, I got soaking wet, but then went to their set, due to all the pyro, I was bone dry by the end of a 30 min set!!! A little background...Live in Pari was released a few years ago, and the night before it's official release, it was simultaneously screened across the world in theatres. Of course I was in attendance at the Toronto screening, and it was epic. However, the effects although entertaining to some, were cheesy to others. For example, Flake's lightning fingers in this video or Till's snake tongue in Wollt Ihr Das Bette In Flammen Sehen? Jonas Akerlund purposefully made this a film, not a concert...as strange as that may sound. Some of the scenes and videos were filmed on a sound stage, with no audience. The entire performance plays like a 2 hour music video. Some would say it's overproduced, but that was the point. If you want a real live concert atmosphere, check out anything from the Madison Square Garden performance from 2011. Many to choose from on RUclips.

1st rule...Whenever possible see the Live versions of their songs. Till Lindemann (the Singer) is also a licensed pyrotechnician. I would suggest Engel from Madison Square Garden.
Absolutely! Their live versions are beyond words! Absolutely magnificent to behold. But saying that, the official videos are incredible too. The ones for Du Hast and Engel especially.
The story behind the treadmill I believe is because some songs the keyboard player Christian doesn't play, so he was riding around the stage on a Segway and crashed into Till the vocalist , so the treadmill gives Christian something to do
Completely incorrect. They use a company called FFP special effects and have done for several tours now because everything has become so big. Till used to piss around with pyros back in the early days but I think due to an incident they decided to let actual professionals handle that side of things.
That man is Flake Lorenz! He tends to get abused a lot by Till, and his dancing skills are often mocked, but I think that he’s the real heart and soul of the band.
Just to be clear to others who may be reading: "Abused a lot by Till" really means, the lanky thin keyboardist "Flake" is frequently abused by the lead vocalist and frontman "Till Lindemann," but only in jest and their theatrics in music videos and stage performances. Oh and they all came from East Germany and have the regional accents, and Till used to train as a swimmer for the Olympics.
My the pyrotechnics of these guys are the best in the business... Best believe that 😂 great reaction by the way 😂 .... Oh there crowd control!!!!!!! Omg the crowd control!!!!
Don,t usually go for heavy industrial metal but these guys are something special they know how to put on a show. And that scary mean looking bad assed lead singer has the crowd in the palm of his hand they would follow him to the gates of hell

Best band ever!!! I have see them 4 time live !!! Grazy
The story behind the treadmill I believe is because some songs the keyboard player Christian doesn't play, so he was riding around the stage on a Segway and crashed into Till the vocalist , so the treadmill gives Christian something to do
Great reaction my man!
Instant sub!!
This is my favorite reaction to this song/video ever! I've come back like a dozen times! 🤘😘💗🕊
When I saw them live in 2001 Till (the lead singer) lit himself on fire onstage. Shit was AWESOME.
They are incredible! So talented and entertaining. So many bangers with these guys.
Been to a Rammstein Gig back in 2010... Open Air but still felt like scorched Eyebrows even a few rows away from Stage.
Seen them twice in the UK one of the best bands I've seen.
To save on tour costs, the guy on the treadmill is powering the whole stadium. 😎
That opening keyboard is so legendary.
The 2019 Stadium Tour has so much fire that looking at pictures from Dresden, you think you are back in early 1945...
Coolest part is the lead singer in a licensed pyrotechnic and does all the fire and pyrotechnics for his shows
Man this song was in how high
Take my word when I tell you that a guy on a treadmill is by far the most normal thing you will see in Rammstein concert
Rammstein has been making music for 30 years. Best live concert experience ever
The lead singer till is a license pyrotechnic expert and sets up the pyrotechnics for the show
Completely incorrect. They use a company called FFP special effects and have done for several tours now because everything has become so big. Till used to piss around with pyros back in the early days but I think due to an incident they decided to let actual professionals handle that side of things.
@@3lmodfz he is a train pyrotechnic but he does let a company do all the work now.
Hell yeah, been to their concert back in 2010, it's still vivid in my memory, best concert I've ever been to 🤘
"That shit is fire!" Literally.
There is a difference between going to a concert and having a good time then there is having an experience like no other.
That man is Flake Lorenz! He tends to get abused a lot by Till, and his dancing skills are often mocked, but I think that he’s the real heart and soul of the band.
Just to be clear to others who may be reading:
"Abused a lot by Till" really means, the lanky thin keyboardist "Flake" is frequently abused by the lead vocalist and frontman "Till Lindemann," but only in jest and their theatrics in music videos and stage performances.
Oh and they all came from East Germany and have the regional accents, and Till used to train as a swimmer for the Olympics.
Fake abused lol hes not actually hurting him. They enjoy fucking with each other on stage
This dude straight up was me when I first started listening to rammstein 12 years ago. Def following this channel for more
My the pyrotechnics of these guys are the best in the business... Best believe that 😂 great reaction by the way 😂 .... Oh there crowd control!!!!!!! Omg the crowd control!!!!
Yo, you re right, thats fire.
"Mein Teil" live from Madison Square Garden
That shit WAS fire lol this is a great reaction!
Hahaha Awesome bruh. Rammstein is the very definition of FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Keep them reaction coming bruh
💥8X Nation on deck💥
You are so positiv, i like this. Greetings from Germany.🤘😉❤️
Bro, your reaction was 🔥! New subscriber now!
Your reaction is fantastic. :) Glad you like it.
Saw them live, their shows are no joke
You know you want to get up and add that jump and air drums with that head bang
Dude, I always wait for that “is he on a treadmill?” in every Du Hast reaction video. Lol
That was a wonderful reaction, I laughed my aaaaa off, ty. Hugs from Sweden.
Don,t usually go for heavy industrial metal but these guys are something special they know how to put on a show. And that scary mean looking bad assed lead singer has the crowd in the palm of his hand they would follow him to the gates of hell
A new band? I first heard these guys around 1998 and they were already pretty big.
