Hey, I'm a 73 year old grandmother whose newest obsession is Rammstein. Going to learn German because of Rammstein. Their discography is filled with epic songs. Me thinks Freddie Mercury would be very jealous, but proud, of Rammstein's stage productions.
HEY!!! I`m 63 and just found them a few months ago and I decided to learn German too!!! look at the you tube channel with Deana and Phil, They are a cute couple, she American he`s German. I started learning on Duolingo. I`ts getting a bit easier once you start. Some of the words are alot like English too.
Rammstein is awesome. Not only did they manage to put out this fire in Paris, but they did the same thing in a sold out Madison Square Garden, making thousands of Americans sing along in german and just rock the place.
Rammstein's music is mostly labeled as "industrial metal". I've seen them live twice, from the first rows. You have no idea the amount of HEAT you feel on their live performances. Those flames and explotions are HUGE and LOUD! I even ended up with some soot stains on my face after both shows. The song "Du Hast" is originally from 1997 and it became their most famous hit, so every fan around the world knows it. The "rocket launcher" is 100% real. The flares go right above your head and then come back and explode spectacularly all over the stage. Seeing that twice, was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I learned that the "boomerang" effect of the flares is achieved by directional wires placed above the crowd in the venue. The lightning was added in post production by the film director of the show (Jonas Åkerlund). Everything else can be seen by the audience. This performance is part of an official Live dvd/bluray filmed in Paris, so the people in the crowd are French, singing in German! Till Lindeman (the singer) out of respect to their fans, for singing along to his lyrics in German, learned a bit of every language (and sometimes a bit of the culture of the country they are visiting) to speak back at the different crowds around the world during the shows, so in this case he shouts "chanter!" at the french crowd. Oh and he is a certified pyrotechnician who works directly with the pyro crew, so everything is completely controled and safe.
Nothing, involving fire, electricity and explosions can be "perfectly safe" . They do take all reasonable precautions, and then a bit extra. There is a video showing time lapse of the set building. It takes a week.
I feel entirely so lucky and cursed by the fact my first ever concert was Rammstein and I had no idea of what their concerts would be like. Lucky in how phenomenal they are live, cursed in that it will take something out of this world to top that experience
Went to their live show in belgium à few weeks ago, I was so happy when they did Du Hast, and therefore saw the fireworks in live !! 😍🎆✨ And even if it was outside, the fire from the differents songs keeped everybody warm 😊
well, he's using the treadmill, because there are a lot of times during the songs where he has "nothing to do", so he's using the time for a little workout on stage - so he doesn't look bored duringthe concerts (his biography is hilarious!)
That "keyboard with lightening" is called a Tesla coil. He is charging it up by walking on the treadmill. No matter how many times I see this Live version, how many reaction - it never gets old. EPIC song and video.
The fireworks are real but 3 separate very well timed explosions, 1) the rockets from the launcher 2) the fireworks shot back towards the stage from the rear that fire along 2 cables if you look closely, and 3) the on stage explosions. The lightning is post production, at the concert I went to they were actually projected onto a screen at the back of the stage, in reality that sort of power would fry the keyboard and the keyboard player's hands, totally not possible!
Till Lindemann, the Singer, used to be competing as a swimmer for the GDR as a young man. Yes, he is very much an Athlete. The song is a Punk on "du hast mich(you have me) and " Du hasst mich"( you hate me)... all worked into lyrics about wedding-vows, lol. And Trust me , you haven't seen it all by a long mile, lol. Rammstein is not for the faint of heart.
Am new in your reactions and huge rammstein fun for 25 years now. This song is in the soundtrack of matrix movie. Thought you should know that !!! Rammstein are unique and always have something to say in their songs. Keep going there are a lot for you to learn about them !!!
On their "Free Fire" concert in Berlin, I passed out between the legs of a Burnette named Giselle, and woke up in Paris three days later between the legs of a blonde named "Bridgegette." Still don't know what happened inbetween.
Rammstein is a mix of metal, electro/techno and sometimes they use classical orchestra elements, too. They describe their music as "dance metal", but it's also labelled as "industrial metal".
the real name of their music style is "Neue Deutsche Härte" new german hardness, none german speaker mostly simple call it industrial or industrial metal...
The „rocket“ was shot towards the ceiling. At the same time a wire based pyro effect was started. So it was life and real but it wasn‘t as it seemed to be.
Probably a bit late, and somebody may have already mentioned it. The lead singer is a licensed pyro technician. So other than the lightning everything else was live, I think.
You have Rammstein You You have You got me You You have You got me You You have You got me You You have You got me You You have You got me You got me You asked me You asked me You asked me and I did not say anything Will you until death do you part Be faithful to her for all days No No Will you until death do you part Be faithful to her for all days No No You You have You got me You You have You got me You You have You got me You got me You asked me You asked me You asked me and I did ...
3 minutes to the Word "Treadmill". I think this is a new World record to remark it this late :) btw: This is from a Concert in the Paris Bercy Hall: 18.000 Tickets sold in something around 20min. 18.000 French Souls chanting a German Song like they are from Germany. Europes unification is really on the Way! The Lightning from Flake (the Keyboarder) is 100% Post Production, there are other Videos from the same Concerts, where you cant see any spark from there. But this is Rammstein and "impossible on Stage" is only a temporary phenomenon for them. Their Pyro Effects are'nt "one of the Best on any Stage" they are without doubt by far better than the combined effects of the next five Bands put together. What did you expect from one Certified Pyro Technichian (Till, the Singer) and five certified Pyro Assistants (the Rest of the Band)! Jep: They all can do Fireworks in roughly any size in any surrounding at any Time. This is only a glimpse of their potential and they didn't hide it

Rammstein is known for pyrotechnics. They have been around since 1994. I believe the sparks were done with a Van de Graaff generator. High voltage but low current, but done in real time. It's how they do.

Welcome to Rammstein! This is from a cinema released 'Live in Paris' film. The lightning from the fingers is post-production, the stage explosion is enhanced, but please look at the You Tube videos of their 2019 performances - the stage is 6 storeys high and the whole experience is like no other. I have tickets to see them in Cardiff next year (fingers crossed). It really does help to Google the songs beforehand to get a little idea of what they are about - many of their songs are from very, very dark places and do not back off from the subject - the band loves to provoke controversy. They still can make cannibalism fun!
The song is "Du Hast" it is a German band and this is live in Paris.. These guys sell out shows in arena's all over the world in like 30 min because their stage shows are so over the top. People are in wait, hoping for a new concert dates to be announced.. I'm just waiting to hear that one of those effects went wrong, the rockets went off course and blew up and everyone died in a massive explosion. But still, I kind of think I'd like to be there to see that..
Glad you liked it and your subscribers did to! I see they already explained the effects so I will just add a remark- I started being in love with RAMMSTEIN truly when I moved to Switzerland and learned German. Their lyrics are very meaningful- no wonder- Till is a writer, poet and his father was too. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see them live yet, the concerts are sold out in a millisecond, but my 100 factor sunscreen is ready if I ever get a ticket 😂🤘

The song is named "Du hast", and it's a recording of a live performance of it in Paris. And that's one of their classics from the 1997 album "Sehnsucht". That's the reason the audience can sing along perfectly. The official video to that song is this one: ruclips.net/video/W3q8Od5qJio/видео.html And that fiery show happens if the singer is also a qualified pyrotechnician. Flamethrowers and such stuff are normal on a Rammstein live concert show. Best effects, and you can also see how the rocket launcher effect works: ruclips.net/video/rnXUaUNX-Bo/видео.html And the most incredible fact: They founded Rammstein in 1994 and are still the original lineup since then, not a single change.
Music of my late youth before I got married. Haps fyi this falls under the category of Industrial music. There are many different subgenres of it, for Rammstein it's Industrial metal. Queen did dabbled in a similar sound for one of their tracks during the magic era. The track is called "Don't lose your head"
