An idea for those sorority shirts: cut them up and have someone make a quilt for you! If you have a legacy she can take it with her to college, if not it is a great way to make use of those memorable items! I’m doing that with each of my kids’ special shirts from their childhood. Jerseys, dance performance shirts, cast shirts from plays, camp shirts, etc.
I love that your mom sent you the pile of clothing from your high school and university days. I did that a few years ago when I was at my childhood home and the trip down memory lane was exactly that...a trip! This series is definitely inspiring me and reminding me to do clearouts in my own space. Great to have you back online and I'm loving the channel update. It really feels like it's growing with you, and it's bringing along long-time subscribers (like myself) whose lives are also evolving and changing.
Elle, Elle, Elle...BIG tip for you on the closet and items becoming damaged. Ditch the plastic or wire hangers and get velvet or soft coated hangers. They prevent the clothing from slipping off of the hangers, they don't cost that much more than plastic hangers, and you can get them at Ross for about $10 per 25 hangers bunches. I got a box of 50 hangers from TJ Maxx on clearance for like $7. I've replaced every hanger in the house with velvet or soft coated hangers, even my grandson's baby clothing. Take those items to sell at Plato's Closet or other consignment stores and make some of the money back that you spent into them. Especially the old clothing bins, vintage is in. My daughter just sold over $50 of clothing to Plato's unexpectedly. It may not seem like a lot, but when you're going to college, working, AND taking care of a baby, every dollar helps.
I’m so glad you decided to come back! I love your videos! I started watching you when I was in 6 or 7th grade and now I’m a senior in college! It’s all so exciting! Love you❤️
I did this a few years ago and now all of my clothes fit into one 4 drawer dresser and it feels so good to have only the pieces that make you the happiest and you would choose anyway!
I remember when you had a closet full of clothes. I have been watching you for years. Glad to be seeing you on RUclips again. I love your declutter videos. I remember when you were in college. Now I am a sophomore in college. Crazy how time flies by.
This series is seriously inspiring me to de-clutter! I was also so proud of you of getting rid of so much of what your mom sent. At first I thought "oh no! She's going to feel nostalgic and want to hold on to everything" which is how I would react to cleaning out childhood things, but you proved me wrong :)
Clothes for me are the hardest to de clutter because each piece has memories tied to it and I think of the money spent too but now that I’ve lost almost 80 pounds I’m ready to let go of my “bigger” self and I’m gonna get rid of majority of my clothes and buy new stuff ❤️
I loved the editing of this video 👏🏼😊 I really enjoyed it 💖 Also folding the Marie Kondo way in the drawers changed my life and how often I reach for items.
You continue to inspire me to de clutter my spaces! One solution I found for hanging my sweaters has been to use the velvet hangers. I found mine at home goods and was able to get 25 for $10. They are thin and non slip and I really like them!
Elle watch Marie Kondo how to fold clothes you will learn a lot and you will love it , I did it and my drawers are so organize and pretty 😍😍😍😍 excuse my English 😊😊😊
Great job, Elle!! Enjoying this series! You make it all look easy to do and don't over-complicate it! I'm actually surprised that you don't have those felt huggable hangers, though!
I resisted for a really long time but velvet hangers have been so wonderful for my sweaters. They are so easy to find now too. Target, TJ Maxx/Homegoods and of course Amazon have them all the time.
It's so hard to let go of some things from the past, for me because of what they represented from that time or who I was during that time. you did so good!
From 30 to 100+ wow lol impressive. Can't get over how exciting it is to see you back in my sub box :) already looking forward to next Monday with you ;)
I know you're not doing the Konmari method, but you should think about folding your t-shirts, camis, & tanks so that you can see them all at once! I recently did that for my t-shirt drawer and it's really helped me get more use out of the things I own. This year I am trying not to buy as much "fast fashion"/cheaper items that I wear one season & then am done with it. I'm 31, gotta grow up sometime! *edit just to say I love How to Get Your Shit Together's video on Konmari folding, she goes through pretty much any kind of clothing piece and gives you tons of alternative techniques as well.
I’ve heard folding your shirts and bottoms the Konmari way is really helpful because instead of having them stacked on top of each other, you are able to stack them next to each other so you can see what you have. It also is supposed to save a lot of space in your drawers. Check it out! :)
Omg Elle, this may sound creepy but I was born in Kingsport and I went to college at Miami, too! What a small world. I miss it so much. I am younger than you, but I used to watch your videos while you were in school and I had no idea it was Miami! :) I kept all my GBD shirts lol.
I want those black and white kitty face pj pants! So cute. Well done, I'm planning on going through everything I own soon, and your series will def be motivation to help me keep going.
I know it may be out of style but i am in love with that red plaid skirt. Ugh... My high school memories. I had a similat one that was black, gray, white, and silver....
Amazing job!! This was so satisfying to watch. Is it possible to be nesting at only 17 weeks pregnant because I want to organize and get rid of everything 😄💕
I'm loving this series. Between you and Marie Kondo the nesting bug has hit me hard. Unfortunately I'm also 16 weeks preggos and way too tired to do any of this right now. I'll keep dreaming about it until I get more energy!
Oh my lord, those mid 2000s bedazzled jeans! Lol I had a couple pairs like that back then, including a Christian Audiger pair that had a huge, loud embroidery design across the rear end 😂😂😂
With the t-shirts you’re keeping for sentimental reasons - get them made into a quilt! I have a drawer half full of t-shirts and when its full, I’m going to ship them off. That way you can keep the memories, but as something you’ll actually use/can pass down. I regret getting rid of my high school and college shirts before I knew this was a thing.
Hi Elle, Just wondering what you did with your wedding dress? Is it packed in a box somewhere? I can’t imagine you would ever part with something so gorgeous from one of the happiest days of your life?
You and Blair are youtube queens. Am so happy you're both creating more content xx

10 years later and I still want to copy everything Elle does 😂 looks amazing Elle!
Your videos always give me such a homey, feel good vibe.

I love this series! I constantly declutter as well but I'm going with you, weekly, through my stuff before I move in late summer.
I did this a few years ago and now all of my clothes fit into one 4 drawer dresser and it feels so good to have only the pieces that make you the happiest and you would choose anyway!

What did you do with your wedding dress after your wedding?
You continue to inspire me to de clutter my spaces! One solution I found for hanging my sweaters has been to use the velvet hangers. I found mine at home goods and was able to get 25 for $10. They are thin and non slip and I really like them!

Loving the declutter series! So glad you are back!
I’m loving these videos sweet girl, so wonderful to have you back 💕also loves baby James making his random appearances, so perfect 💕💕💕💕💕
My first Fowler video was Blair's room tour. This reminded me of that.
Best part of the video is baby James’ cuteness!! ❤️
I love this! Always gets me in a deep cleaning mood. It's also interesting to see how you decide on certain items and organization
You should learn to file fold in your drawers, it will make a world of a difference! You can see everything at the same time and it saves space!
Great job, Elle!! Enjoying this series! You make it all look easy to do and don't over-complicate it! I'm actually surprised that you don't have those felt huggable hangers, though!
Loving this series! Gives me so much motivation! 💛🌸

Are we going to have a candle declutter?
Jessica Sue I’ll die!!! Declutter/giveaway? Please @elle

It's so hard to let go of some things from the past, for me because of what they represented from that time or who I was during that time. you did so good!
From 30 to 100+ wow lol impressive. Can't get over how exciting it is to see you back in my sub box :) already looking forward to next Monday with you ;)
Getting rid of 30 items. There goes my entire wardrobe. Haha. Now make me declutter my books...that's a different story. 😂
Just finished Konmarie method in my apt a few weeks ago. Completely life changing!
Luved this declutter video👍
Your baby is absolutely adorable!!! God bless
Does this spark joy? What if my entire closet sparks joy? 😂🤣🤣🤣 I needed this video for inspiration to get my closet in order.
Loved how you counted out what you purged! Super motivating :)
These videos bring me back my high school memories! They make me so nostalgic! Love you and Blair!

Yeeeeeeeeesssssssssss!!!!
Loving the Elle 2.0
Love this series Elle! 💝🎀🍾
This is awesome! I just Marie Kondo’d my closet and drawers and ended up getting rid of 5 huge bags of clothes! Never felt more content!
Omg Elle, this may sound creepy but I was born in Kingsport and I went to college at Miami, too! What a small world. I miss it so much. I am younger than you, but I used to watch your videos while you were in school and I had no idea it was Miami! :) I kept all my GBD shirts lol.
Great job! I love your jean holder. That’s such a cool feature in the closet!
Love this series so much, Elle!
I hope you keep posting. I always loved your channel and have missed you.
Where do you keep your wedding dress? Or did you not keep it?
I want those black and white kitty face pj pants! So cute. Well done, I'm planning on going through everything I own soon, and your series will def be motivation to help me keep going.
I want those pj pants too!!!!
Switching to velvet hangers reduces closet anxiety significantly. I bought 100 on amazon for $35.
Do you have a specific place to store clothes you've worn once or twice but aren't dirty enough to wash yet (like pants)?
why do you disable like & dislike??? i love the decluttering series!!
This was so satisfying Elle! 😊😊❤️
I know it may be out of style but i am in love with that red plaid skirt. Ugh... My high school memories. I had a similat one that was black, gray, white, and silver....

Where do you store purses and shoes?
You are looking amazing Elle! Isn't the human body so magical to be able to grow another human being?
