If you're not sure on the color do the whole thing the original color then wrap what you want different. I'm doing that with the hood on my challenger, I like the color but I catch some serious glare sometimes from the sun and am gonna do a matte black vinyl wrap on it. The majority of the metal that is welded together in Body in white during the body framing will have that white sealer for a tight seal and to stop the metal on metal from creaking. @UC__HZLw76GWWfkZ92qH3VVA I'm sure it was checked out, we have been fixing these uni-body cars for years now, and yes, there are some that shouldn't be fixed, this one actually looks like a pretty easy fix, roof could have been repaired, front frame rails always roll, and as for the "SHOCK WAVE" a uni-body car will always buckle the roof or the sail panel, I'm sure he hung gauges on it, and it will track and be align-able, the tires will wear just fine, we had a 69 Camaro with a blower motor that came in and we had to repair a buckle in the roof because when he launched it it pulled the right up too far, car gauged out, scaled out and was in perfect alignment before the roof was even repaired, this car was not a hard it.

Possibly the car crashed against a tree and the branches fell on the roof. That could explain most of the damage.
@ Not dents like that, that is 100% from the chassis flexing, I can almost guarantee that's why this car was totaled. If it were just a matter of putting it on a frame rack and replacing some parts the PO's insurance would have fixed it.

@@scottgettman4909 Indeed, although the insurance companies we deal with seem less likely to repair moderate structural damage than they did 10 years ago when I started. @@a.e.4156 oh sorry lol, I miss read the comment. I was posting on another comment section. I watched this guy samcrac do a repair. It wasn't at all what should have happened. Metal weakens in a accident. Especially aluminum. He just welded it back up and carried on. I wouldn't have done it that way at all. I don't have a lot of experience. But I was tought in school "sectioning" not "welding" and "patching" fixes frame damage.
@@kkellerk23 But he didn't just weld it up. They welded it then add a piece 5 times as thick as the original to it. It also WASN'T frame damage. It was a mount to hold the top of the strut. Not anywhere near the frame of the car(also that car is a unibody car and doesn't have a "frame"). Did he do it the exact way I would have in my shop? No. but what they did is far more than enough to make the car as good as or better than stock. Also whoever told you metal weakens in an accident was smoking crack. Metal can loose some of its ionic bonds at a molecular level by bending it repeatedly back and forth. His car wasn't even in an accident. I don't know what kind of school you were learning about building and repairing car frames but welding and plating is by far the most common and should be done 90% of the time over sectioning and replacing. Especially on any kind of older car or truck that has a actually frame. Look up what a fish plate or fish scale is for frame work. Also learn what a frame is vs a unibody car.

You guys got some mad skills props go out to you and your team 👍🏼 you guys are auto body beasts
Channel should be called frame guy rebuilds not Alex rebuilds
No half assed short cuts, everything is being done right! This is a car I would feel comfortable buying and daily driving.
Yes definitely, beats some other folks on RUclips hacking things together. Then telling everyone it's perfect.
@@kkellerk23 for example?
@@a.e.4156 SHARK system. That's what I use. So as you're pulling it gives you live pulling specs. That is what a Collision center uses to pull a frame correctly. You take pre measurements. Then the system tells you what to pull and how much. I was curious what he used.
Great vid. Looks like a lot of fun, keep up the good work...
Your "frame guy" is hopefully well paid in beer and that green paper stuff. He's a hell of a treasure to have in your stable for work like this.
How much was the car and how much was it to fix it. Is the only question
@@willythewave theres used 1s for 45$ so is it worth it ?
@@willythewave i dont know. That's a rebuilt salvage title . Me myself. I'm a corvette guy. But this cars are badass
@@willythewave rebuilt. Salvage. Broken messed up. Whatever you wana call a title . Is not a clear title is my point. So spend 45 $ when you can get a used 1 for 45$ was all in was saying. No need to get a smart mouth
by time he buys all the parts and drove all over the country to get some of them etc, paid for a paint job etc etc, it would have been easier and probably cheaper to buy a good one. personally I would have taken the thing and sold it for parts and made more from the parts than the whole car is worth.
@@blue03r6 it's a Dodge, beyond the motor, the rest of the car is not worth much, dime as dozen shared parts bin. Even the small brakes are not worth much.
Keep it all blue
Damn you guys did a hell of a good job. Keep up the good work brother.
Amazing skillset en patience and endurance...no fear for failure....TOP guys !!
Awesome 👏
Naw one solid color the hole car... No strips are black roof
Great effort on the roof!! Didnt see that coming.
Very cool project. i wasn´t expecting to see things so easily repaired. Hell of a work, but still doable.
First comment ✅... Nd happy holidays to everyone hope yall enjoy it 🎄💙
not much rollover protection in this vehicle!
Rollover protection isn't from the roof skin but from the pillars.
Its pretty much like this in every car
Looking good so far bro nice work 👍🏼👌🏼
Fuck yeah dude, great job with the music. Goes well with the rebuilding man. Keep up the good work, cant wait to see the next one.
