- I can blow up enemy ships, but I need a ship of my own! Today, I build a fully driveable sailing ship and outfit it with weapons using Minecraft Create mod. I also take the ship on a long river voyage and blow up a massive canal between my colony harbor and a nearby ocean.

proximity fuses are probably what are causing the mortar shells to explode prematurely, i would suggest impact fuses instead, if they are in the mod
Thats what I’m saying. You want an impact fuse to get most out of the explosives.
They are, but they have a 33% chance to not explode, so proximity set to one block is probably better
Normaly (irl) proxy has a minimal arming distance so that woudnt happen

in minecolonies i think there is a research that allows colonists to use rails so if you build railways around town they will use them to get around.

okay just, hear me out... make a big modern style destroyer ship so you can actually put those really big cannons on it... just for the cool and fun...
I’d love to see a huge dreadnaught style battleship with massive cannons, but think the size of the rivers near the colony might limit that, so your suggestion of a smaller, destroyer esc ship, is probably more feasible. Hope he does it.

Modern destroyer usually uses a 5 inch gun as secondary armaments, along with VLS missiles.

gonna be honest, when blowing up the canal, it might have been easier to retrofit the tunnel bore to also dig and plat some holes for TNT in the walls/ceiling/floor and had it go through and then detonate those, it also would have gotten more use for the bore, and kinda look cool
also might have been quicker than the way you did it, especially if the bore set TNT every 4 or 5 blocks
Dunno if you saw my previous comment about this, but if you hold slabs in your offhand while placing rails, it places the slabs under the rails in a way that looks nice, and supported
Try adding autocannons to the ship. They can rapid fire and destroy anything a bit too small for the mortars or cannons. They are also in the mod and fuses can be attached to the shells.

12:01 the proximity fuze is detecting the lamp and the railing of the ship. You’d need to aim higher or just elevate the mortar by two blocks
He's got to make a couple smaller ships now so we can go through the smaller areas
You should add delivery crates inside to haul resources around
For the underwater mining: you could breach it with a tnt with a sand on top to make it detonate underwater

Hey Sbeev! I remember you mentioning a tour of the town. A little tip that i came across recently with Minecolonies is for the deliveryman and their warehouse, you can link the warehouse with a storage terminal like ME storage, it may save you a lot of time and could speed up the overall efficiency of the town.
If you need to do this again, use a tnt bomber
You should make ironclads, practically indestructible, unless your going against more modern rounds, but it’ll be way harder to penetrate, maybe use obsidian as armor and find a way to make it look metal, and I’m new to this channel so I have absolutely no idea how this mod works, other than few vids from others.
Oh and perhaps next time you need some kind of materials that are far away make a boat for it, it’ll be way quicker than something like a train

If you construct a small Monitor-type warship (you should be able to take roughly the same design from your coastal battery), you would be able to rebuild your rail bridge and continue to travel via the water, and keep a good deal of firepower.

You could also build a much more period-accurate steamship at some point, maybe with a couple small guns like a world war era merchant ship? Or also a like spanish-american war style battleship with all the decorations and white paint :P

Or the mortar is just hitting him, because proximity fuses blow up when it hits something OR the time runs out. Also, Sbeev, tip- don't stand in front of big guns while they are firing
It would be neat if you could make schedules for boats like trains, imagen not having to place millions of rails and blocks but still being able to get your stuff from the other side of the world lol

As for Oil...... You might want to build a Wasp-class Amphibious Assault Ship and have some LAV-25 "Piranha" Armored Reconnaissance Vehicles and AAVP-7A1 Amphibious Assault Vehicles ready to Roll out the Stern Gate as well as a Aircraft like the McDonnell-Douglas AV-8B Harrier II Fighter Jets and Helicopters like the UH-1Y Huey "Venom" Utility Helicopters, the CH-53E Super Stallion Heavy Lift Cargo Helicopters and MV-22B Osprey Tilt rotor Aircraft ready to Provide Support or Carry Supplies from Ship to Shore. Just got wind that the Mummies have decided to Bomb your Town Hall and your Barracks and plan to do so by Bum rushing for those Buildings Before Placing a 3 by 3 of TNT like you find in Desert Temples and then Placing a Pressure Plate and Redstone Dust and then getting on the Pressure Plate while Crying "Netherite Bar".

Patrol Boats armed with autocannons all the way up to some utterly hilarious railway guns would be nice to see
A name for the ship should be The Sea Donkey due to the donkey in the water by the bow at 10:50
It would be nice to see in the cannon mod to have a pivot gun, which is the perfect mix between fixed cannons and drop mortars, because they sit on a fixed point, but can be rotated like the big gun has been made to with create mod.
also, you should add ship furnaces to your ship so it goes faster

With the Mortar you attempted to use, I believe it was blowing up because it didn’t have a long enough barrel. I’ve tried the same mortar in my own modpack and it kept on blowing up on me the same way yours did.

BTW, this is semi compatible with the physics pro mod, that adds ocean wave physics, since the ship is now a physics entity itself it gets affected by the waves, you can basically make sea of thieves in minecraft, unfortuantly you cant edit the axis of the waves enought to get big waves that have big impact on larger ships, if you build some massive Dreadnaught out of iron it will just cleave trought them.
Why not a tall bridge that kept the track at the level on the top of the hill until it passed the canal, then it drops down. You can put in a cool permanent bridge with that

By how much did you increase the power of the floaters? I'm quite interested because I myself am trying to build a ship, a... WARSHIP.
As you may have guessed, it simply sinks, even with hundreds of those guys. Your tweaking seemed fair to me, so I would appreciate knowing what you changed in the configs.
There is a config file called "vs_eureka_server" located in the "valkyrienskies" subfolder of the main "config" file folder. There is a place in the file where you can change the numerical value for "floaterBuoyantFactorPerKg". Just set it to a really high number like 900000. You can also do the same thing for balloon blocks by changing the "massPerBalloon"

Sbeev, is that your Lego MOC of the UNSC Savannah at the end of the videos? It's really cool, I would love a video about it like your first videos of your Lego MOCs like the UNSC Infinity, Forward Unto Dawn and Pillar of Autumn. Had a little gap in watching your videos so I may have missed you saying something about it, but would love a build timelaps on it or a showcase. It's interesting to me how you construct something that big from Lego and make it hold together from a structural point and I love Halo lol. But considering the RUclips algorithm, a second channel for other content, that differs from your main content is probably wise, I certainly would watch videos on Lego MOCs or other work you want to share. I just wanted to say that I personally would also enjoy that kind of content. Also congratulations on 300k subscribers, you are doing an amazing job.
That is indeed my MOC of the UNSC Savannah - thanks I'm glad you like it! I haven't really mentioned it or made any videos on it and tbh it was more just something I did for fun during my downtime last fall. However, I haven't currently got the pieces for it or built it in real life, so maybe if I'm able to do that sometime, I could make a video of the irl build and put it on my second channel

I didn't even know you had a second channel, but after reading your channel description again I found it and subscribed. In German, there is a saying "Whoever can read, is at a clear advantage." It sounds better in German xD. I probably should have checked better. Anyway your MOC looks extremely nice and captures the sleek design of the Paris-class really well, probably the best MOC of the class there is. The Paris and Phoenix class have to be my favourite UNSC ship classes, close contender being the Halcyon-class, just a classic. So, if you at any point wish to sell the instructions, on Patreon for instance, I would definitely consider building it myself. If you just do this as a hobby, for yourself only, that is of course completely fine too. Will look forward to a video on it anyway, have a nice rest of your day.

Hey! I've been playing on the modpack for a while now and I've had issues with some serious lag. However, after digging around for a bit I found that the "Sounds Physics Remastered" mod causes a lot of problems as it has to calculate the way sounds bounce off and interact with the world. This is especially harmful for Create, as a lot of the contraptions have very loud sounds, and all that processing bottlenecks the cpu. Anyway, hope that helps a bit, great vids, big fan.
