the price tag seemed a bit high at the release ($600), but after having it out a couple times, I think it's totally worth it. All the usual TRX upgrades don't hurt it a bit. No, there doesn't seem to be a reason to change the tires, but it won't hurt to try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you borrow some favorites from other rigs.
Those trucks are damn capable! I know it’s crazy but wish Traxxas would come out with a twin front steer axle. Two front steer axles and two rear drive axles 8WD 😁
Being from Louisiana i don't get much experience with rock. Found a bunch of riprap i took my trx4 sport out on them...i was unprepared for the sound of the plastic hitting the rocks ..
The stock tires are bad on the TRX6 on anything but bone dry sharp rocks, they are worse compared to the TRX4 canyon trails so first thing to go are those crappy tires! if you plan to run anywhere else specially under damp conditions.
@@ExocagedRC i agree with you. in fact they are so good i bought 6 stock tires again for 40 bucks total on ebay! i only do trails to moderate rock crawling and never had issues and my truck is basically stock. After every run i just rinse the tires with water and they become super sticky again when they dry.
Once I finish the other 3 trucks on the bench, I've got to have one of these!!
Great video. Brass definitely helped. 👍👍👍😀
Digging the casual videos with other people.
I know its unlikely but I'd love to see you pick up a UMG10 and do some short wheelbase crawling.

Love the concrete crawl track. Wish I had 1 haha
Build one
6:35 it's been crawled with my 10.2 now. Haha.
Axial fest was in California last year. And this year it's in California and in Indiana.
josh_rit I’d like to get to an axialfest one day. Just can’t do it right now

Yeah I’d like to see that one too
I don't know but i think just in the front would be fine. I have to wait for the comparison. Double click on the like button.
Axialfest is in Attica, IN at Badlands off-road park
Yeah. Still a long long way from Florida
I live in Colorado and it's pretty cold right now.

LoL it sounds horrible for sure

I have run them on loose dirt, sandy terrain and moist/wet stuff and so far they’ve done really good.

Where's the comp videos?
Haven't got them edited yet.
axial portal truck? or Vanquish ultra?
Tough call. Probably axial for me
Too easyyyyy
Zachary camaj LoL
Too bad they put that body on such a capable rig
I know. The vehicle is way better than the body.
