@@block36079 they're one of those artists that if you're in the right circles you hear about them constantly, but otherwise you've never heard of them at all. A lot of their stuff is pretty airy Nintendo inspired, but they had an album that was... pretty much the opposite. Basically a much harsher version of the music used here

i'd been thinking about what a game with rogue elements (the cards) would look like, and how amazingly fun it'd be
you'd get the fun adrenaline from constantly switching to random guns in gun game gamemodes, but the intentionality of a hand-crafted single player

Not really since Machine Girl is producing the music for it
Which is a shame since this one of the sickest games shown in the direct especially with Steve Blum being apart of the voice cast, the very original gameplay, and Machine Girl doing the music.

This looked really cool. A card game shooter? What an interesting concept.
I've never been super interested in deckbuilders but this looks like an _extremely_ fun twist on it that I'm really really into. So _fast,_ it's like DOOM Eternal if the Doomslayer was super into MTG instead of asskicking metal and stuff.
since the enemies drop the cards, id say this is less of a deckbuilder and more reactive. super rad either way

I don't think it's deck building. The cards seem to be scattered around the world more like limited use powerups. I think at most you'll be able to choose your initial loadout, but this seems to be more "play in this exact way" kinda game so I doubt it. I've only seen this trailer though so who knows

I was already sold on this game as soon as I heard Steve Blum's voice.
It's pretty funny how the consensus of the direct was that it was kind of underwhelming, but every individual video has lots of interested people in it! I forgot about this announcement, but it looks interesting :)
Sadly a lot of games have people going “this was the only thing in the direct that interested me”, though at least that means there really was a little something for everyone!
I personally loved the direct even if I’m not interested in everything on it, or plan to get everything that I thought looked cool. Not enough time lol

this looks like a great speedrun game
this reminds me a bit of the game ultrakill, in terms of how fast paced it is, and music wise it kind of does too. and the controls seem kinda similar (minus the card aspect ofc). i LOVE ultrakill, so this game will definitely be on my radar.
