Your video on the Daily Office got me as an atheist to start praying and reading the Bible every day last year. This year I finally started attending church every Sunday. I hope to be baptised later this year. Thank you for helping me find my way to faith. God bless you and give you strength for this fight.

Thanks for sharing your journey. God reformed my theology at bible college around 5 years ago and shortly after called me to ordained ministry in the CofE, but I had a Jonah moment as I thought Anglicanism was far too Catholic. After a few years I realised that I had to do what God had called me to do otherwise I would remain in the wilderness.
Upon returning to Anglicanism I found your channel (just over a year ago) and I learned that Anglicanism is far more reformed than what I first realised. You thought me that the formularies are thoroughly reformed. Anglicanism actually fits me like a hand in a glove. Your channel got me started on the 1662 BCP. I could now baptise babies and sing Psalms 😊
I fell love with Anglicanism and God led me to a faithful, classical, liturgical CofE church in central Oxford. We use the 1662, have a high veiw of sacraments with a high reformed view of Scripture.
Quickly after attending this church doors opened with the Priest (in a similar way to you) for me to start discerning ordained ministry and it is going really well. Very providential. I don't have to push myself at all. The doors open and opportunities fall on my lap, with encouragement from my priest. I preach and lead Evensong and I'm in the process of starting a mens ministry. So thankful for God's patience and mercy towards me.
You have been very influential in my journey of forming my Anglican spirituality and in me coming to discover that Anglicanism is where I belong. I really benefited from listening to this update. It was confirming and interesting and exciting. I very much appreciate it.
So happy and excited for you. Look forward to seeing your ministry develop. Thanks for all you do and the content which I know is blessing many.

Excellent news! May the Lord guide you in your call and your church plant.
“For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 3:13.
And please remain rigidly Christian! “Follow the pattern of the words you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.” 2 Timothy 1:13-14.

I was formerly an Episcopal priest and was forced to flee. I managed to squeak through in the last class of ordination when moderates and conservatives could get through before the pogrom,.but I was having those conversations in the process even back 20 years ago. I went in a different direction, but I sympathize with you. It still saddens me how the mighty have fallen.

I grew up catholic but after my first communion, I never really went to church again (my parents, go figure).
I'm now in my early 30's and I've had a huge call to rediscover my faith in Jesus Christ. It has not been easy and I have been torn between the Anglican church and Catholicism.
The liberal side to Anglicanism here in the UK really turns me off, which is a shame because there are aspects of it which I really like and the history is really rich. It is truly a shame...
I believe Catholicism is the choice for me and I love the traditions. In any case, following Jesus Christ is what matters!

So much of the mainstream Church is ichabod. It’s the same in the US. It is very hard to find a branch of continuing Anglicanism that is basically doctrinally pure, but also warmly evangelical.
The ACNA is a sort of iron-and-clay mingle mangle that still waffles on female ordination; there are certainly Christians in it but a knowledge of history - and how this issue consistently leads to decline- means that the writing is on the wall.
On the other hand many small non-ACNA/GAFCON communing branches maintain a white knuckle grip on doctrine but tend not to grow, lack warmth, and often have some weird cultish quirk (unquestioned top-down monarchical leadership, KJV-onlyism, etc).
So yeah, being a confessionally Reformed Anglican at least in the US is more or less a lonely project.
But a worthwhile one, I think. God’s peace on you.

Excited for your journey, but it is sad that there are so many denominations. I am very grateful that I belong to a traditional and faithful church that hasn't left The Episcopal Church for the splinter denominations. More importantly I am grateful that our church did not need to leave, even though frankly I understand the impulse.

I really enjoyed watching your posts until this video. I can well imagine that the positions of the mainstream church may surprise you. The questions that irritated you so much are absolutely irrelevant and the people whose sexuality doesn't fit into the pattern of traditional family have suffered unspeakably from the church befor. Thank God that the Church is slowly rethinking its attitudes, precisely in the light of the Gospel, precisely in the spirit of Christ, who, above all, meet with sinners and enters into conversation with them. I am very sad that they you did not recognize the fundamentalist deception and temptation. I am also a deakon in the Roman-Catholic Church.

What a sad story of Protestantism, which ultimately was a secularising movement, a movement away from intimacy with God. (Yet more) splitting has always been the Protestant answer. "We don't like what we see and need to leave and start (yet another) church, free from error". The CCA is just another such split. We all need to go back to the ancient churches of West or East which have preserved the apostolic deposit of faith and continue to be utterly reliable wellsprings of the Holy Spirit.
Our Lady Help of Christians, pray for us. St Joseph, patron of the universal church, pray for us.

Sorry to tell you this River, but whether you stay in mainstream Anglicanism or not, you will never have ecclesiastical Authority. That only exists in the Catholic Church founded, but Jesus Christ, it was He Who inspired and instructed the Apostles, and it was with, by, and from, the Apostles that the Catholic Church began. Jesus therefore cannot and will not inspire or instruct anyone else to start another denomination that contradicts what He started with the Apostles. Therefore it is only within the Catholic Church that truth exists, and since that is a fact, everything else is a lie.
