Hey, dispensationalism is very wrong but please don't call it heresy, that is for beliefs which truly negate salvation and are in fact true unbelief. Maybe you really do think that is so which is unfortunate; Continuing in that way will contribute to unnecessary division between brothers.

I haven't done too much study on the church fathers but isn't it true that many or most of them were amillenial partial preterists? I can say as an American, that people have been obsessed with the state of Israel for many years and the results have been less than positive. Most premill people that I know are obsessed with the rapture, figuring out who x is to the detriment of the gospel. Pragmatism is certainly not an argument against a specific theology but a tree is known by its fruits.

What is the best book (or maybe a few books) for one to get his feet wet in historic premillennialism?

One possible note on the Talmud admission of the 40 years of bizarre occurrences before the Temple's destruction. The temple was destroyed on the 9th of Av in 70 AD. Which is about August. So there likely would not have been a Day of Atonement that year since it happened in the fall. The Day of Atonement is when the lot was cast, etc. So it's possible that Jesus was crucified in 29 AD. If we take it literally that the temple was malfunctioning for 40 years. Hard to say with certainty.

Gentlemen, you may find this useful in your ministry: We can know "when" we are on God's prophetic calendar. It is written in the book of 2nd Esdras. Catholics have the same thing. I say the Divine Office (same thing but Catholic) at least 2 or 3 times a day. Rosary isn’t to replace the Divine Office, it’s in addition. Seems like you misunderstood that part and thought Catholics replace the Divine Office with the rosary and yeah, no lol

The BCP is truly beautiful. But it is also, from one perspective, a failed attempt to reconcile Catholicism with Protestanism - and Calvinism with both. Sadly, the core doctrines of Calvinism - including the doctrines of election and salvation by faith alone - are unbiblical. The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is by obedience alone. Furthermore, the continuing institution of a priesthhod - with in this case special rights to administer the 'sacraments' and interpret the scriptures for the congregation - and other ideas derived from the temple religion which was expressly made redundant by Christ - is blatantly fraudulent and completely incompatible with the New Testament.

Jared begins talking about how enforcing marriage permanence would affect the church or the family system, but his primary concern should be the salvation of individual souls. Adultery is a salvation issue.
