I think funhaus needs to be investigated first it was "falling off the roof" now its a "bike crash"...I think Bruce is an abusive boss. #hostileworkenvironment.
“I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.”
1:15:00 Watch Bruce. He sees a hot guy with his top off and instinctively he went to take off his own top. But he remembered where he was and refrained. For now.
30:00 Jacob's tale of woe reminds me of my own. When I was a toddler I fell over and smashed my forehead into a sharp corner. Not a deep "cut", but plenty of blood, spurting out in a perfect parabolic arc, according to my parents. Today I have a small V-shaped scar just below my hairline like some knock-off ginger Harry Potter.
I liked Lawerence’s question about not telling people the answer is yes u can, I recently found out I have to get surgery and I’m not telling my family till I get the mri back and find out exactly how bad it is because I won’t have answers for their questions
Lawrence please don't cut lanes.. My father and many of his friends ride daily for the last 30 years. All refuse to cutlanes because it's just too dangerous and overly expectant that drivers will see a small object moving between lanes at a faster speed than all the other vehicles. Also the armored jackets work very effectively and newer ones assists in protecting the neck from snapping back aswell
Same basic shit happened to me with my right shoulder, hit a patch of gravel at low speed and dumped the bike, dislocated my shoulder and didn't realize it until I tried to pick up the bike and my right arm stretched out like I was Piccolo or something, seeing that me nauseous and a puked a little. When it popped back in a few minutes later i puked again the pop and pain was worse than a break. Lmao, get well soon bro.
I'm sorry, I was sympathizing until the Piccolo part, then just started laughing my ass off. Now I'm imagining that's how you retrieved your helmet or some shit.
Back in 2001 it was a $500 charge in Alberta to use the ambulance. They gave me a choice but as soon as I got in it would be 500 for the ride to the hospital. Needless to say I took a cab.
I had a motorcycle accident in 2012. I had 27 fractures, my spleen removed and damaged my left kidney. It was caused by a car driver doing a U-Turn and not seeing me coming towards them. I ended up crushed under the passenger wheel of his car. I am now disabled for the rest of my life. Doctors have tried numerous operations to fix my right side. It's my spinal cord damage which keeps me in constant pain 24/7. I have now been referred to specialist spinal surgeon in Sweden. He is working on something that might work, but will take between 15 to 20 yrs, before any results. One minute I was thinking what to have for my dinner, the next my life changed forever. I am now housebound and my only way of connecting with the outside world is through the internet. Thanks to Funhaus, I have something to watch everyday and be entertained. Thank you guys and welcome to the crew Allanah. Get well soon Lawrence
As an ER nurse, I love hearing what the ER looks like to outsiders. Like this all sounds so incredibly normal. People who have the same mindset as Lawrence make it worth it.
Oh man Lawrence . Please take care! Hope you’re better soon 😃 As a doctor who’s worked in the ER for a good while, believe me, I’ve seen things straight out of nightmares .. torn off limbs, broken skulls, strokes at mid twenties, and the worst, ABSOLUTE WORST, neurofibromatosis .. imagine a million finger like projections completely covering your limbs .. I mean even bad maggots ridden wounds are perhaps just as bad.. not for the faint of heart .. and we do not get any counselling at all, ever..(in India)
Not gonna lie, I really was nervous about Alanah joining FH, but I really enjoyed her voice and views on the podcast, and am totally stoked for more now
Wasn't sure I was going to like this with Jacob and Alanah. But instead came away enjoying the podcast more than I normally do. I found having something new was refreshing. Keep up the good stuff.
Love that the magazine/games media on the video in the background was the official Nintendo magazine we had in the UK 'Nintendo Magazine System'. Nostalgia!
One of my favorite games journalist (RUclipsr) is Racyevick. He puts a lot time into the critical analysis of mechanics and themes of the games he plays and then offers his personal emotional connection to what he reviews.
Holy shit hearing all this in the beginning is mind boggling for someone from Germany. It sounds like a nightmare having a accident in the US even a small one, so many traps losing a ton of money.
That's what happens when you leave it to corporations that sell you service/good to regulate themselves and decide how much something is worth and whether or not it's good for you.
this podcast feels different but in a very good way. i think its because we have a new face/voice (Alanah) and Jacob i dont see a whole lot of. Just the start of the podcast and i cant wait. the chemistry feels good so far cant wait!!!
Broke my arm... 08-16-18 Skateboarding. Just found out earlier today it actually broke inside. Worth it, won't let happen again. Get better dude, your all funny and good people.
My best friend got killed on his motorcycle riding from work to his home years ago. It’s dangerous out there and I am happy to know everyone involved was ok. If you see this comment Lawrence and I’m sure you know cause the years I’ve watched Funhaus you are a smart individual really utilize your peripheral version 100% I am a cyclist and I’ve learned to never just ride out into a intersection. Always look both ways and make sure it’s absolutely safe to proceed. Anywhere at all times! Sometimes shit happens though unfortunately. Anyway! Thanks for the early morning podcast! You guys are awesome and welcome to Funhaus Alanah 👍🏻
Alanah you fit right in, I knew ever since your appearances on the FH gaming vids that there's chemistry with the team. Really glad to follow you from ign to funhaus, can't wait to see your creativity incorporated into future videos :)

lawrence, you can get armor that goes on as a separate layer under your normal jacket if you want. its connected by mesh so its actually not hot at all.
To answer the question about letting your significant other know about a stressful situation, in my opinion you should let them know even if you are looking out for them and have good cause, let them know whats going on it provides a base of being honest with them and creates trust between you and your loved one.

I think FH should just lock Lawrence in the office over night.
It would be for everyones' safety.
They did that, they left him overnight when he's reading a synopsis of an old hentai series
I think funhaus needs to be investigated first it was "falling off the roof" now its a "bike crash"...I think Bruce is an abusive boss.
#hostileworkenvironment.
captloki13 haha, I remember that!
Gargie396 true, or maybe, Lawrence transforms at night into a werewolf?
Alanah: "chipotle can be healthy"
Bruce, without skipping a beat: "it can"
Yeah, getting food poisoning is really healthy. LMAO!
Bruce needs a permanent personal sponsor from chipotle
stu don't remember, it's withing the first 10-15 min

Computer Lawrence was my favorite character person thing back in Inside Gaming.
Likely cover story Lawrence; we all know you hurt your shoulder in the ring in your local neighborhood children's fight club.
I would like to commend Jacob for his dedication to cargo shorts.
Its got SIX pockets. You cannot pass up that carrying capacity compared non cargo short plebs.
no homo but hes got some nice legs im super jelly rn
"They're comfy and easy to wear!"
Jacob in future: "All set to jam their meridian."
NZ_FAME I think he said he used to do track.
Lawerence is the Tom Cruise of Funhaus
alupihan He would really like to, I'm sure
Shit, he scams spiritually lost people out of money?
At this rate Lawrence should be in a bubble like that Jake Gyllenhaal movie. Be careful man!
Emmanuel Alejandro BUBBLE BOY!! It’s Stupid but still a good movie lol

Can't wait to see the content she can provide for funhaus im sure it'll be great tho
HULLO!
Alanah Pearce im so hyped that you’re part of funhaus. You’re awesome!
The better version, 2.0! Like a T1000.
Is that Ultra Instinct Elyse?
David Havey Mastered Ultra Instinct Elyse!
That was funny
For the future:
RIP LawDog
He will be missed.
Didn’t Lawrence go to stunt school how does he keep injuring himself
Golden State Warriors fan since 2015 ikr just duck and roll
Stuntmen get hurt all the time. That's why they're stuntmen.
I think that's *because* they're stuntmen, not why they're stuntmen.
Please put Lawrence back in the computer. For his own safety
Lawrence talking about that guy at the hospital that was infected, I bet he had Covid.
Alana and Lawrence need to do some Anime game play throughs while Adam and Bruce sit behind them and roll their eyes/cringe audibly.
Hearing about it being weird that everyone was wearing masks and avoiding the guy in the ER is so surreal in 2021
Alanah! Welcome to the family :D
Hi, thank you!
Did Funhaus hire you, or did they mean a part of the Rooster Teeth family?
Funhaus hired her! :)
Yeah, I work at FunHaus now!
Look forward to the content you will be making with the guys! (and Elyse) you fit very well with the group.
“I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.”
1:15:00
Watch Bruce.
He sees a hot guy with his top off and instinctively he went to take off his own top. But he remembered where he was and refrained. For now.
Lawrence really should become a stunt man at this point. All he does nowadays is get himself hurt.
I love that Alanah has the flat, dry delivery when humoring Lawrence. She truly belongs in Funhaus and she adds a lot to Dude Soup!
30:00 Jacob's tale of woe reminds me of my own. When I was a toddler I fell over and smashed my forehead into a sharp corner. Not a deep "cut", but plenty of blood, spurting out in a perfect parabolic arc, according to my parents.

It's expensive to call an ambulance? Christ, I'm glad I live in Canada with free health care.
In Canada they charge you as well...
In my area, it's around $2000 for an ambulance ride. Whether you needed it or not.
Back in 2001 it was a $500 charge in Alberta to use the ambulance. They gave me a choice but as soon as I got in it would be 500 for the ride to the hospital. Needless to say I took a cab.
Well, Ontario has the best healthcare system in the country.
Hostile shut up secret Elise, lmao
the first 3 seconds i am already dying of laughter. Lawrence is literally hurting himself again for our pleasure, bless this solider.
Jacob looks good with the facial hair. Keep it up, Jacob!

Alanah is a great addition to Dude Soup. Looking forward to what she does on other projects, especially Board as Hell
I love how alanah has a little story to add on the end of everyone elses story
As an ER nurse, I love hearing what the ER looks like to outsiders. Like this all sounds so incredibly normal. People who have the same mindset as Lawrence make it worth it.

Not gonna lie, I really was nervous about Alanah joining FH, but I really enjoyed her voice and views on the podcast, and am totally stoked for more now
Law is really committed to his character and I appreciate that.
Wasn't sure I was going to like this with Jacob and Alanah. But instead came away enjoying the podcast more than I normally do. I found having something new was refreshing. Keep up the good stuff.
Wait, you have to pay for an ambulance?! That's fucked up.
Crashed your bike already? I was hoping that you would at least survive the summer Lawrence.
Said to the man who casually walks off rooftops. :P
There are two types of bikers. Those who have crashed, and those who will
The graphic intros have improved tremendously! Love it, keep up the good work guys!
Bruce’s glasses modeling is phenomenal
all of Jacob's quippy one-liner's always make me giggle.
From the sound of it, you handle it well man. Even the slightest bike crash or near crash can be insanely overwhelming.
Excellent job driving the conversation and keeping it interesting! This was a really solid show.
Love that the magazine/games media on the video in the background was the official Nintendo magazine we had in the UK 'Nintendo Magazine System'. Nostalgia!

Lawrence hurting himself is turning into a bi-monthly podcast segment, and its painfully entertaining
The best intro by far was this one with Jacob dancing lol
Watching funhaus is such a struggle nowadays, I miss the old ign and early funhaus days
Lawrence probably has toxoplasma. You get it from cat shit and it makes you more reckless and is a very common thing to get.
I agree, though the research only suggests very slight behavioral changes in humans. Still an interesting hypothesis :)
well he does like eating cat shit
i think he has ligma
Does he own cats?
Quazzi what type of out-of-left-field internet doctor are you, just stop hahaha
1:10:35 it's the rule of two.
Welcome 2 hell alanah
Thanks for brightening my day
Can't wait for theater mode to come back in Sep.
Alanah! So happy to see you in the podcast! Good luck at your new job.
We all thought Lawrence was gonna kill someone. Little did we know it would be himself.
Anyone that's been paying attention fully expects Lawrence to kill himself long before he gets to anyone else.
I enjoyed this. The best background noise and is interesting to me as well. Perfect!

Forget Germany or other first world countries, I live in India and even I can't believe how ridiculous it is.
America is just merchants and customers. It IS a nightmare but getting healed is just a hot commodity so it's expensive.
this podcast feels different but in a very good way. i think its because we have a new face/voice (Alanah) and Jacob i dont see a whole lot of. Just the start of the podcast and i cant wait. the chemistry feels good so far cant wait!!!

Lawerence we love you please stay alive.
JH FREAKS! I have been casually watching him for years! I am so happy that he is hard nettin
First time I watched a whole podcast. That was pretty interesting.
I just moved from La to Dallas and ever time I listen to dudesoup I get home sick

July: Fall off a roof
August: Hit by a car
September: TBD

Alanah you fit right in, I knew ever since your appearances on the FH gaming vids that there's chemistry with the team. Really glad to follow you from ign to funhaus, can't wait to see your creativity incorporated into future videos :)
Laughed my ass off at Lawrence's segue into Blue Apron. "Anime does shows about cooking. This show is sponsored by Blue Apron" lmfao.
When Pegasus Fantasy started playing I thought it was my phone going off for a sec lol
This is the 3rd time k-on! has been featured in hard netting. Cant wait for the 4th.
Jacob: Funhaus' Best Listener
Medical Pro Tip: If you have a urgent / ER type of issues that occurs during off hours (regular Primary Care offices are closes) + you need to be taken care of in a ER:
- there are multiple types of hospitals and ER's
- some are more set up for traumas than others
- some are notoriously busy
- hospitals located / situated conveniently to major highways often are also convenient for the less enfranchised (large #s who get their primary care in the ER = busy ER)
- hospitals more tucked into affluent communities / suburbs have shorter wait times (and usually less "interesting" clientele)
- google is great for locating ER/ urgent cares and getting a quick picture of what type of facility above you are dealing with : just type "er wait times near me" and use the star system to guide your choice / location / etc...
If you have medical insurance you can avoid a lot of hassle by getting plugged in with primary care / focus on getting information on what to do when I have a medical issue during off hours:
- your PCP office can give you the skinny on local hospitals / urgent cares / ERs and invaluable information of "what to do if" situations (office staff know all the dirt vs gold and are very willing to share this Beta)
- your PCP is obligated to have some advice or support service offered after hours: this will be a service that takes calls and offers advice or they may have their clinic staff take call to help with where to go = they know the area and can give you good information on where to go
- your insurance usually also has an "Advice Line" or application to up load to your phone which can direct you as well (with the added benefit depending on your insurance plan, there are in and out of network hospitals/ er's / urgent cares that can drastically affect what these encounters cost = usually just your co pay if you use "in network" facilities and use the insurance's advice line of where to go
These situations are best when you have already prepared for it. Thus having a game plan with phone #'s or Apps loaded to your phone, can make your worst day every a little less stressful.
"Cooking with Laurence" needs a header
Lawrence is like Eugene from Hey Arnold!
lawrence, you can get armor that goes on as a separate layer under your normal jacket if you want. its connected by mesh so its actually not hot at all.
it feels like every other week Lawrence comes back with a story of how he injured himself
To answer the question about letting your significant other know about a stressful situation, in my opinion you should let them know even if you are looking out for them and have good cause, let them know whats going on it provides a base of being honest with them and creates trust between you and your loved one.
The day has come and so have I. We all knew Lawrence would get hurt when he started the bike stuff.
The prophecy has been fulfilled, alanah is the new king of funhaus.
My rule for telling loved ones about something that happened: If the emergency situation has reached a conclusion, or if I am impacting their day in some way, such as not arriving home at the expected time because of what happened. Oh and if they happen to call me, I'll inform them then.
TB and Sterling are personalities in games journalism.
Finally a video where Alanah gets to contribute a whole lot.
So good to see Alanah at her new job
