      My mother in law was almost a victim, he would come visit her foster family and she was supposed to go camping with him but her little brother begged to go, carpenter said no so my mother in law said she wouldn’t go with out her brother and the family believes that 100% saved her life.

    I remember when the streets of the city
    OF ANGELS were being cruzed by demons back in the 1970s it wasn’t a good idea to be around people who you didn’t know late at night or to go out by yourself.I made sure not to go out without my switchblade or my Saturday night special.nothing worse then getting caught off guard especially when there’s two demons that want to send you off to the morgue

      All you had to do was watch/listen for the first 16 seconds. The narrator said the press gave the title Hillside Strangler, but there were two people involved. How would the press know from the get go that there were two killers? When did facts or logic ever influence the press? You miss a lot when you don't pay attention.

    What an irony; the police code for this case was 555
    & the first 3 digits of David Carpenter's phone # was 555 as given by Heather Skaggs (One of the victims) to her boyfriend, in reference to the car for sale.

    • @mikeboothe
      @mikeboothe 10 месяцев назад +4

      555 isn’t a real area code for California. In an acting role, all writers use the area code 555 so that there’s not millions of calls to a real number.-Susan

    You should do a story about the skid road slasher in LOS ANGELES back in the 1970s.
    I haven’t seen or ever heard anything about that it seems like its a subject nobody wants to touch.
    Skid road back then was occupied by 100%of black men it was a sad thing to see the amazing thing is it wasn’t dangerous to walk down skid road because non of those victims of alcohol had any energy to get up they were all emaciated none of them would even look up at you

    • @railfantrainman1000
      @railfantrainman1000 6 месяцев назад

      Good point. Skid Row Slasher...that guy had a high victim count. Suppose there isn't much info or attention out there because of who that person targeted. Not pretty young white women, but homeless men, some of who weren't so young. They deserve the same justice.

    Why is there no mention of Bob Grogan in this documentary? He was one of the leading detectives that brought Angelo Buono and Kenneth Bianchi to book. Quite insulting not to at least give him some credit. Somewhere. 🤔

    • @railfantrainman1000
      @railfantrainman1000 6 месяцев назад +1

      Grogan was a good detective and investigator, according to former LAPD chief Daryl Gates, who wrote that in his autobiography.
