    That woman who said Bianchi's adoptive mother was hovering and overly worried over Bianchi's health caused Bianchi's damaged mind was off, IMO. Mothers at the time were not taken seriously by doctors. I think Bianchi was born with sociopathic traits from the start, and the mother was trying to figure out what was wrong with him, and doctors told her it was all in her head.

    My mother’s friend was Lauren Wagner, the 8th victim. They went to High School together and lived near each other in Sepulveda… This absolutely devastated so many people, including my Mom, my Mom’s family and Lauren’s family. Can you imagine having to hear that your daughter was just found murdered via a media circus surrounding your home?! I understand that it was a big story, but my God, the people of the media have no souls. All that matters to them is getting the story! My Mom’s family was so shaken by this, they moved away from Sepulveda. This is definitely amongst so few truly thorough accounts of the Hillside Stranglers’ reign of terror. My mother never forgot about Lauren. She was a very sweet girl and was a good friend and a great student with a bright future ahead of her. The only thing her death accomplished was that the evidence they collected from her body led to the capture of those 2 monsters. Thank God for that. We truly live in a very fallen world. My heart goes out to all of those poor victims, they were all so young. I can’t help but think of Yolanda Washington and her 3 year-old child. That young woman was probably out trying to make money to bring home milk and cereal for her baby. Her life was already hard enough… How devastating! We always get information via these documentaries about the murderers and the crimes but we almost never get to know who the victims were. I know there’s been movies and documentaries about the Hillside Stranglers, but I think it’s time for a new film about this case, one where more emphasis is put on the lives of the victims. Society is growing too immune to cases like this. People are fascinated by serial killers. Maybe if people knew more about the victims, they’d be able to better grasp just how horrific these crimes truly are. Thank you for sharing this documentary.

      I don't know if the victims would want to be remembered for this and if you were to run across them today, if you'd want to bring this stuff up to them. I know on social media where to find at least 2 relatives of Hillside Strangler victims (I won't say where - I don't think they'd want to be known where they can be found) but I haven't dared approach them or bring up the topic of their loved one, for fear of triggering them. That would be a terrible thing to do.

    • @railfantrainman1000
      @railfantrainman1000 2 месяца назад +1

      I do get your points, though, thoroughly. The public gets so much talk about animals like the Stranglers were & not much talk about who the victims were, so it's often easy to forget the victims and have sympathy for what happened to the Stranglers - imprisonment + other things. When victims start talking and being visible, people often remember who the REAL victims are and feel sympathy for the killers.

      I'm sorry for your mother's loss & all Lauren's family & loved ones as well. My family & friends are friends with 2 of the girls & family. I agree that the victims deserve their stories to be told. The families lost their amazing daughters & there are siblings, best friends, & an entire communities that still loves & miss them.Their loved ones looked for them when they were missing & kidnapped. Family/friends combed the streets looking for the girls on the path they would have walked home. We have never forgotten them. I was tiny at the time but I still know the family, parents & siblings & they still suffer in silence. The 2 monsters deserve to be put under the light more aswell. For the evil disgraces & plague they are, they were not suave, most women could tell something was wrong with them & ran from them so they'd stalk girls at bus stops & at their homes. They were disgusting losers who had sick gross dispositions, even had mass temper tantrums. The women who they kidnapped (pimped out) filled out police reports on how they were sexually assault escaped their torturers but nothing was done about it. The sick cousins looked for the 2 girls that escaped but couldn't find them, instead they found another prostitute Yolanda Washington who was a single mother with a young son & killed her. They were not tough they were weak cowards who victimized girls that were tinier than them.The documentary or tv specials on stranglers or articles never fully reflect how incompetent they were. The focus always mirrors Bianchi's lies & the hideous truth about them never gets told. Which is there were more victims & near victims that escaped them. The police in our area are also notorious for not being available to our community or helpful, you're lucky if they actually answer your call. The 2 idiot stranglers were very stupid & brazen, leaving all kinds of evidence everywhere that LA detectives couldn't piece together. Once Washington State detectives had murder women in their area they retraced their victim's steps & everything came to light on the psychopath they had living there. And when the court preceedings started they were ridiculous aswell, Salacious new's reports ^ the trial went on way too long. It's one of the longest trials ever. Eventually they tore down Bono's house & business to try to end the family & our community's suffering but we all still remember. They were so ignorant they commited all their crimes locally. When a news report or a news article came out eventually my parents told me about the horrific night our friend's family & they themselves had gone through when they got the call that the girls were missing. My dad going out with tons of other parents to search for them. Then the life changing call & disbelief that the girls were found not alive, murdered. I know some who wouldn't want a truthful story to be told but there has never been justice for the girls & their truthful short life's story has not been shared individually or collectively & that's not right. It's all been swept under the rug & they deserve better than that, they deserve their stories to be highlighted & shared. The world should get to know them individually to understand what amazing souls they all are. They are more than what happened to them. They are still loved & missed by many.

Me and my friend we’re gang members and I don’t think nobody and you are even up this day that LAPD we’re going to different neighborhoods and giving the OK to shoot on site because they knew gang members roam the streets at night. The following year when I turned 18 I was in the county jail what do you know? There is Bono walking towards me all chained up being escorted by four deputies. He had to be closely guarded because one of the young girls that he killed was the niece of a Mexican mafia member and a member of the street gang EAST SIDE CLOVER 🍀. This documentary doesn't even mention the strangest episode of all in the Hillside Stranglers' macabre story. In 1977, they approached 24 year-old Katherine Lorre with the intention of kidnapping and murdering her. Ms. Lorre's father was actor Peter Lorre, who gained fame by playing the first serial killer in cinematic history in Fritz Lang's 1931 German film M, and later found success in Hollywood playing creepy characters in The Maltese Falcon and other films. The Stranglers were wearing their police officer costumes and asked to see Ms. Lorre's identification, but when they realized who she was they let her go. She had no idea how close she came to becoming another murder victim until the Stranglers were caught and their mug photos splashed across the press. Sadly, Ms. Lorre died just eight years later of complications from diabetes.

      Another historical similarity, Al Capone had himself a doctor's office in Chicago for a while, at least until the patients started questioning his abilities to be a doctor, and Al must have had a Police informant to let him know to leave the area before he was officially asked for his IDs. Another easy similarity is the biggest Chicago Police presentation of finding a bad police officer was the suspect gang found as trailing Jewelry sellers before stealing the Jewelry during a 10 year period. Then, Cicero, Il, west of Chicago's west border, the the Town Government was found presenting to the town people a fictitious insurance company, making someone 100s of millions of unfound dollars maybe 20 years ago. And news from California maybe 10 years ago, said they had Chicago Police being reported to be found there, but I don't think the people themselves were found. Just a generalize picture of events that support city to city like held on connections of crime - or the confident builder of getting away with rape - through get quick get rich attempts. Also about Cicero, add these murderers might have been mocking people found around Cicero, can't directly mention who, but martial artists that did or could have participated in Karate Tournaments such as against Bill Wallace. This link needs to extend itself to Washington State where a multiple Black Belt Police Officer authored a book named SPEED, that illustrates his direct sparring friend in a illustration with a knife held challenge that mocked being a double to someone who almost won Bill Wallace's championship from him. This one person's best friend at the time, is a very good double to Bianchi. (Movie making talents being overlooked?) A sign of mafia story book writers trying to collect current writing data leads without getting caught, but these types of drug store books tend to become Hollywood Movies, again leading to the NY connections tests. And Al coming to Chicago from NY had Cicero, Il as his hiding place for years to dismiss existing warrants. Al was always it seems the kind that was hard to identify after Police reports were made that cause checks of him being the same person that was actually seen. No fear leads, just real legal advice.

    I feel like I could throw up just seeing this. I got stalked night after night by Angelo Buono, in Studio City , CA. That frickin monster found me as a teen working at a movie theatre on Ventura Blvd in Studio City & harrassed me for nights even chasing me in my car up Laurel Canyon with me outdriving him. It culminated the night he waited for me at the corner of the alley next to the front door of the theatre & chased me on foot to my car, with me getting in & getting the door locked seconds before he grabbed the car door handle & starting calling me every horrible name in the book. If I hadn't been running track at the time in H.S. I'd be dead now. I quit the theatre that night. At the time, I had NO idea it was one of the Hillside Stranglers thinking they were targeting prostitutes. It wasn't until 20+ years later, watching the show Criminal Minds, that I started to cry when I instantly recognized Angelo's disgusting face at the very beginning of the show as the one terrorizing me for months & who called me all the vile things he did inches from my face through the car window when he couldn't grab me. I also found out, with me being a redhead, his last victim was a redhead. Years later I went through the police academy & learned how to use firearms. (Ps I'm adopted & never hurt a soul. Infact spent my life saving people. Evil is evil is evil.)

      I never heard about Buono or Bianchi having an AC/DC hat, or even having anything to do with AC/DC. AC/DC wasn't known in 1977 or 1978 like it became known a few years later. Are you talking about the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez, by any chance? Ramirez's spree happened in 1984 and 1985, by which time AC/DC was pretty much world famous.

"life's unfair" is the biggest understatement I've ever heard of! I have problems believing in God.. I admit I'm struggling, because how evil this world can be.. If I can pray for one thing.. and God is listening. "and I did last night" It's God.. Lord in heaven.. please rid this world of evil! Please God! help us! In Lord and Jesus name we pray.. Amen.

This current younger gen is already completely destroyed! The future leaders of the world mind you. My God we need you more now then ever..

    11:42 Have you noticed this woman, who is a consultant on many of these programs, attributes EVERYTHING to "a need for control?" She is wrong. Obsession with cleanliness has more to do with revulsion for dirt and germs, plus phobia of disease and illness. It has nothing to do with "control," but this woman's obsession with the subject - whenever a MALE perpetrator is being discussed - speaks to her OWN gender bias and resentments towards men in general. Since she never has anything to contribute but accusations of "need for control," it's pointless for these shows to ask for her participation. They should stop.
