Theo father wasn’t a merchant seaman!! Where does this nonsense come from? Old Charlie Kray was a knocker- knocking on poles doors for old clothes etc and then selling them on in the market. He was away for weeks on end so their mother and her two sisters who were neighbours, brought the brats up.
