Very good handling cars for their time and the 1st car to have mcPherson Strut suspension.
I had one of the same model. This was during during the late 1960's and it had about seven previous owners. It was built like a tank. We used to visit air shows and six of us would sit on the roof without denting it.

These were rock-bottom cheap in the sixties - though that one looks a bit better than average.
In 1952, my grandfather bought to my mother a Zephyr sedan MK I green colour. The same colour of the Consul on this movie. With my 14/15 years I learned to drive in this car. Fabulous car. The Zephyr still with us (in Portugal)

Yes, they clearly use two different cars. At 2.38, they change from an earlier Consul, with trafficators and no chrome waist trims, to a slightly later one (in worse condition), which is the one which goes up in flames. There is also a noticeable difference between the colour of the two cars. As the owner of two Mk1 Consuls, this is tough viewing for me!
