- I feel like things went shockingly well for a first time, so I should mention this is a BLIND playthrough, I've never even heard of this game before a couple of months ago!
[Legend of Kyrandia]
Kyrandia is a land of dark, mysterious forests, and sleeping dragons. A fantastic land where rubies grow on trees and magic abounds. Who would imagine that a land so idyllic would spawn a murderer so demented? Some say that the court jester, Malcolm, was mad to being with. Others whisper in sly, conspiratorial tones that is was his burning desire to possess the precious Kyragem that slowly drove him to slay the peaceful King William.
As the rightful prince of Kyrandia, you must pursue the elusive Malcolm to recover the powerful gemstone. Only then will you be able to reclaim the throne and restore harmony to the land of Kyrandia. The Legend of Kyrandia awaits you!
[About Me]
Hi! My name is Hannah (gamertag: psychemode) and on this channel I play games from 2005 and earlier, typically in the fantasy RPG genre, and almost always completely blind!
Loved this series growing up. I think the 2nd game was my favourite.
Remember the kyrandia games, and eye of beholder games. As well as a lot of games by sierra, and interplay. These were the best games of the time. Would love to see some of these old games like this in VR.
I played this as a kid. So lovely.
That jester goes hard.
So freakin' hard.
Subbed for Kyrandia content 🖤🖤🖤
Honestly the best RUclipsr on my subscription list ❤
Thanks, that's really kind!
Malcolm is very much like Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 - A clown/jester that is evil, nihilistic, and sadistic. They changed him quite a bit though in the 3rd game and made him a lot more of a joke clown LOL
This game is easily forgotten next to the other games in the '90s
Bizarre, yet charming.. That's a good way of putting it! All 3 of them. Part 2 is my favourite.
Surprised to see this is only a year old. Kyrandia is a forgotten gem. People usually know monkey island, but don't know of kyrandia. My brother drew out a whole map grid system for those caves when we were kids.
I thought I could get away without drawing a map of the caves, only to eventually give in and draw a map of the caves. Luckily my notebook is already half grid paper!
Yay Kyrandia. Oh you silly naive girl, we'll see how quickly you'll progress in the Serpent's Grotto... ☠
And don't worry, I'm fairly certain you can't get permanently stuck... no matter how many rare stones you burn.
Clearly, Brandon needed an owl to tell him that snake was poisonous.
Just watched this whole playthrough and honestly: Kudos for your patience and persistence. Well done. And thanks for editing out a lot of the wandering about. Just subscribed and am gonna look up other games you've played/are playing. Methinks fun times (for me) are just beginning.
I love that you are playing these games. I hope you’ll play Malcolm’s Revenge (book 3)
Yes, that's definitely the plan! It helps that these games are also relatively quick.
@@psychemode yay!
The introduction animation was great. I enjoyed watching the wizard fellow make scribbly vertical lines while reading aloud. I wanna see more! Subscrobbled.
Of all the animations in the world, this sure was one of them!
aww man, my dismay when I see there isn't a part 2 (yet)
Soon! I made the weird decision to start a series then take a break for a week. Part 2 should be in the next day or 2...
I don't know why I find it so funny that the bad guy is called Malcolm. We're so used to "Zargoz the dark warlock", or "Baron von Blutstein". This time, the big bad guy is none other than… Bob.
This game is short but fun! And frustrating!! Haven't seen an upload in a while... hope you are doing okay!
Yup! I posted on the community tab last weekend - work got a bit hectic, so I had to pause on videos. But am uploading now! QfG3 today, Kyrandia tomorrow or Tuesday....
Really enjoying Kyrandia so far, so absolutely delightfully silly.
I know you probably hear this often, but you're really pretty. I also love your videos a lot.
