FSC doesn’t mean the paper is recycled. It means the forests from which the trees were harvested are voluntarily managed according to FSC standards.
It’s FSC approved, but I also read someplace, that this paper is recycled fibers. I must have mistakenly conflated the two.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews timber companies manage their timberland to FSC standards to get the FSC stamp so they can charge a premium. At least that’s why the timber company I worked for did it.

I have dark reader as an extension on Google Chrome, so this is definitely up my alley. 👍 I wish they had a version for the whole Bible and one that was available here in the U.K.

This is very unique. We need more designs of this nature. The Codex Argenteus is written in Silver and Gold on red-purple parchment. I wonder how a modern Bible would look in that?

@@ilovecats9336 Yeah, I think that could work. The Codex itself is also called The Silver Bible. It comes with a silver cover. But I don't think a straight silver cover would look good on a modern Bible.
I just remembered to come back and rewatch this. (I got interrupted-at work-when I was watching the premiere. How dare they! LOL) Just ordered one because I thought it is so cool. (Despite being KJV! 😉) I normally go for a large print, but this looks pretty readable being white on black. Thanks for the review! 🙏

I think the text being off center is for easy reading.
I find with thick books when the text is center the text at the gutter is harder to read due to the text running down in the gutter.
I get that, but in this case I feel it was a little too far.
I love it! As a person with advanced glaucoma, reading anything with white background and dark letters is difficult. White on black is so much easier for me. (Red letter editions are simply non-starters for me. Do NOT like them.) Where can I get this Bible?

Pretty interesting and definitely unique! No paragraph indicators either, which is too bad. I can't handle dark mode myself, but I might buy it just for the "cool" factor and very thick paper!
That font actually looks like Palatino, if you ask me. (But Palatino is a nice font.)

This would be great at church when the lights are dim.
I understand this would be nice for someone who has vision issues or issues with contrast. Love the chapter and verse layout, wish more would do that in the verse by verse. But, as someone who highlights and writes in all my Bibles, this would be a very impractical purchase for me.
Yeah it would certainly be a challenge to highlight. I wonder how neon would work.
This is totally cool, and nice, the font used for the text is Gemerald, which I consider to be the quintessential Bible font.
They told me it was Book Antigua. I think it just looks like a lot of fonts.

@anickelsworthbiblereviews might have to try to add it to the collection one day. On the list ahead of it is a nice NLT (leather cover and sewn liner) and a readers set.
This is interesting but I don’t think it would be something I would want. Thick paper is nice but it makes the book heavier multiple volumes as fine for at home but you wouldn’t want something like that to take to church..

No. It’s just the way I was holding it.
I meant to say this in the original comment. Thank you for finding and sharing such a unique version of be Bible. I will look forward to being a customer if and when they venture beyond KJV and a verse-by-verse format. I think this would make for a great reader’s Bible.

I think this may be yet another KJV for me. This would be a great format for a reader's Bible. It's too big to carry around a complete Bible, but it'd be a great reader.

Well, seeing I'm a KJV oNlEiSt 🤣, whatever that means, I mainly read the KJV. I could see reading this under a black light in bed.
a complete messianic translation in large print would be a dream. unfortunately I can't stand the feudal LORD used in most modern translations propagating conservative theological and political ideals.
