I was super neglected. How it worked was other families would feed me, remove lice, teach me how to swim, buy clothing ect. And my mom would pretend she was a parent. Blame me for not giving her school work to sign. I didn't have lunch money, so I didn't eat at school. I went to the doctor only when the school required it. Eventually, families would go to my mom to complain & I wouldn't be allowed there. Then my grandparents did most of it, but I was still neglected & was never adopted.

The whole thing was a set up. Both are chronic liars and have psychpathic personalities. Hers is to appear as a good girl and mom who changed her life always blaming her mom or man for screwing up her life. As someone who might not be able to have children, it upsets me so much how Janelle doesn’t care to be a mother. She’s proven time and time again that she refuses to be a responsible parent capable of protecting her children

My best friend starting living with my family at 16 her mom passed away at when she was 14, never knew her father. Had 3 older unemployed brothers one a drug user. They didn’t care where she was so we took her in.
He was never gone that was just BS PERIOD
When I was a kid, my friend’s parents knew how my mom was so they always let me stay as long as I wanted. Sometimes two weeks at a time, but never months at a time. Their moms treated me like their second daughters 💖

IMO, the swampmates either know or paid the guy that allegedly tried to break in. It was just another ridiculous attempt to find a loophole around the court order. I bet when David talked about being with DD's the night before in his TikTok live, he was referencing Jenelle. She isn't leaving him because she doesnt know how to be alone & he isn't going to let her go because he either won't work or can't get a job due to his public image showing what a disgusting human being he is.
One of my close friends in high school was the kid who spent the night at different houses constantly. She was home for maybe one night every other day. Turns out her mom was tweaking and abusing her. There was no food, unsafe and infected excuse for a home, etc.
If a child isn’t living in their own home, there is a problem!!!
I was a kid that stayed with friends and other places throughout my teenage years. To answer some questions, I stayed with friends that also had weird home lives usually. I had a friend who was living out of a car, I stayed with her, I stayed with friends whose parents let them do whatever they want or with friends who had parents that were never home. I was buying my own food. I just always ate Taco Bell or McDonald’s so I wouldn’t need to use the kitchen. And my friends parents were aware of the situation, the school was aware of the situation, nothing ever came of anyone knowing.
I have had instances where my child's friend(s) have stayed at our home as it was a safe space for them. You were spot on, we did not contact any authorities. The custodial guardians were ok with the situation and we figured as long as the child was in a safe spot with us no additional actions were needed. I believe that it is better to give that child a safe space than to involve authorities as it could make home life worse for them. Or they could be thrown into the foster care system which is not always ideal.
I don’t even think Jenelle can keep up with her lies anymore… I think she was dating someone which clearly didn’t workout so she is back with David. The girl can’t stay single for a couple of weeks. Jenelle even wanted people to CONGRATULATE her on leaving David…
Why... . Why would anyone want to someone to call CPS and then that child be out back into that woman's home or even to the mom because there's a reason she didn't have custody. Some kids are better of couch surfing and making having a better life.
Jenelle admitted that David unalived two of their puppies. I’m pretty sure she meant recently too, not that the timeframe matters. She outed him to make him look bad being too stupid to realize it makes her look like horrible too. We really need stricter animal laws. These two should not be allowed to own any animals. It seriously breaks my heart. Idk how anyone could be so cruel to something so defenseless. This man is a ticking time bomb! I hate to think of the cruel things he’s done that we don’t know.
Growing up in my high school years I had to stay with friends families for extended periods of time due to my home situations. All of the parents were extremely generous and I felt didn’t want to involve authorities because they knew my mom was going through a lot.
What an abomination that the police allowed him back into the house. The only person that the family needs protection from is David!

Yes that's pretty much how it is. Foster care has alot of abuse stories and the state usually tried to find family to take the kids anyway. So alot of stable friends homes will just let the kid stay

There’s so much wrong with this picture, I wouldn’t know where to start. No police officer would advise someone to break a restraining order. Jenelle claims David didn’t abuse Jace. Now she’s finally fed up? Like what was the straw that broke the camels back. He’s already done so much harm.
I was that neglected kid sometimes haha. I stopped by my parents house (I never called it my home) weekly, they didn't ever complain. My friends parents were kind, caring, and taught me life skills when I helped around the house.
Sometimes I did wish that someone would investigate my home life, but I made it work and was able to find supportive people and maintain my independence and dignity :)
By all means someone offer Marissa some shelter, kindness, encouragement, resources, etc. But the system has failed her, so she shouldn't be forced into that again. Just my take

I was in a similar situation, but I was in high school and paid for my own stuff. I would be at my friends most afternoons after school and weekends. I would be at home to sleep and change
That's how I got guardianship of my daughter's 14 yr old best friend.
Her mom would drop her off and forget about her, promising to pick her up at the end of the weekend then not even answer the phone days later.
Last straw was leaving her with us for 2 weeks.
I called CPS and the fight was on.
I kept her for over a year befire letting her sister take guardianship aafter a few court rounds but not her mother.
Mom and zannies had a love relationship that children didn't fit into apparently. It continues to this day and my girl is 26.
Some people aren't meant to be parents, especially these 2 dirtballs.

It happens all the time and you can call SC but they take so long to do anything plus they don’t really do anything so it’s just easier to take in the child.
My son had a best friend that stayed with us ALL the time and at times his mom was homeless so he would stay until she figured it out he was already 16 and we were there for him and his mother met well , she was a good mom for him they just had hard times so we never even thought of calling cops however things changed and now we wish we did but it’s too late

6:26 as an American I disagree Grace. If a child is consistently at your home, especially at high school age, your best bet is to keep your home a safe space until the child graduates. Too many times CPS will investigate and do nothing, then you’ll never see the kid again because the parents were angry with being exposed

I was a child like Marissa although I was in foster care and raised by my grandmother so I feel like my friends parents felt like they were helping me and my grandmother when I was over there. I would imagine the parents think CPS clearly won't do anything regardless. CPS should have BEEN involved.
