    I bought an FC 5 gen 2 after watching a guy use one at a match. Love the pan feature, it allows you to transition to the next target much easier and quicker than your traditional bi-pod. Right away I noticed a difference in stability as well. Excellent bi-pod and very stable. I didn't want to pay that much, but in the end I think its worth it. Good video!

      @Imbear: thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on this Bipod and how you felt that the cost was worth it. I’m Canadian and have been a C5 quadriplegic for ~30 of my 52 years from a spinal cord injury and REALLY NEED the strong lateral support and pan that you’ve described in your comment. Information such as like this video AND comments with constructive feedback such as the one you’ve shared really help to make a decision. I still can’t decide because I’ve got a Tikka T1x in a Boyds "At One" stock, and I don’t know if an ARCA rail would fit it! I think it’s time for me to phone Paramount Tactical!!

    I am on my second set of bipods and still not happy with the amount of front loading pressure required to fight recoil movement because of slop in the legs and adjusters when locked in. I have been looking at these for awhile and needed a proper review and you folks nailed it!

    This is the first time I have watched one of your videos and I really like your break down of the various Atlas models. I first saw an atlas about 8 years ago and I agree that they are probably the strongest, most stable and best featured bipod for shooting from prone positions. I have also used Atlas, Harris, MDT, Magpul and Spartan. I like the Spartan for light weight hunting, but for true stability and precise shooting, the AccuTac bipods would get the nod. About height, for hunting, the 5 models might be better than the 4 models, but for bench, tactical/prone, etc. the 4 models would probably be better. When a bipod has a Cant feature which can't be locked, this can be problematic in certain situations. I see that the AccuTac Cant feature can be locked, so it is the best of both worlds (just with a bit more weight). Which Bipod are the PRS and NRL: I would guess the SR-5 without Cant feature as i heard that wide stance bipods can get hunt up on some of the barricade rests? Thanks for the great presentation. I need a heavy duty bipod for a Ruger RPR .338 Lapua Magnum I recently purchased. I almost grabbed the first thing I saw (a Magpul) at a local Cabelas, but decided to do some research first. Only recently heard about AccuTac. Looks like what I need for PRS. 👍

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  7 месяцев назад +1

      @friskywildthing 7 месяцев назад +1

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@friskywildthing brother, you CAN shoot PRS with .338 but it’s far from the ideal round. Most guys will be running 6mm’s. The direction you want to go with PRS is the least amount of recoil possible. Most people would tell you to truly be competitive even 6.5CM is too much recoil.
      I’m not trying to discourage you and if that’s all you got, go shoot it and have fun but .338 is far from ideal for any PRS/NRL type matches.

    • @friskywildthing
      @friskywildthing 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@paramounttactical I originally wanted a .50 BMG, but it wasn't in the budget when I decided on the RPR. I could shoot PRS with a 5.56 like my Daniel Defense DDMV4-18", or one of my other rifles. I'm also considering an AR 10 platform in the future. One reason I chose the Ruger was because it's recoil is reportedly mitigated by the muzzle brake design and barrel weight. I just ordered a scope and rings, so I haven't even shot it yet. I can handle the weight, even the recoil, it's the ammo costs that's gonna keep me up nights. Ouch. I was checking out accessories on your website. That's quite a selection. I'm pretty much set on getting an Accu-Tac bipod soon as I decide on which one. I'd love to sign up for your courses. I don't shoot nearly as often as I used to, and I want to change that.

    Option for an Accuracy International AT-X ? Thank you

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  Год назад

      Any of the Accu-Tac line would be a good option for your AI. It’s a matter of determining the features that are important to you. The BR line is a little more geared toward bench rest so they’re lower and their height maxes out pretty quick. The other models allow you to angle the legs so you can get as low as the BR-4 but they can also can get more elevation out of the legs if you need it.
      Being more of a tactical long range rifle, if it was mine, I would want something that can pan left and right for engaging moving targets or to easily transition to additional targets. But… that may not be something you need or want. If you’re mainly shooting off a bench, BR4 is an excellent option. If you want something that pans, I would suggest the FC4 or PC4.
      Hope that helped and didn’t muddy the water more than necessary on your decision making process. Let me know if you have any other questions.

If you would like a longer option and are willing to compromise a little on stability and a lack of ability to pan left and right, I highly recommend the MDT Grind Pod. I’ll link that below. I haven’t gotten around to doing a video review but it’s excellent for the price.
      MDT: www.paramounttactical.com/product/grnd-pod-bipod/
      Another great option is the Protean XTX and XTXA. I’ve done a review on the older models and plan on doing a review very soon on the new models. These are extremely good and innovative bipods and very lightweight. They deploy fast, pan left and right, one handed adjustment, cant/level, amazingly good bipods but they are a little pricey. Here’s a link to check those out.

      If you don’t mind slightly more bulky go with the FC4. If you want a slightly smaller form factor go with the PC4. They’re both so stable I don’t think anyone would ever see a performance difference.

      MPA rifles which we’re a dealer for have an integrated ARCA rail in the chassis. You need an Arca mount on your bipod.
      Here’s my full review that covers all the features. It’s on Rumble because CommieTube took it down but I have several other videos on MPAs on my channel as well covering new features and other aspects of the rifle.

      They’ll all work and work well. It’s just a matter of which features are important to you. If you want to pan left and right, get the FC4 or PC4. If panning doesn’t matter get the WB4 or SR5.

    what is the difference between arca and non arca bipod?

    • @TheWarriorSolution
      @TheWarriorSolution Год назад +2

      Arca spec is commonly found on competition rifle chassis while 1913 or Picatinny is more common on tactical rifles. Arca rails are roughly twice as wide as pic rails and don't have the same notches either. Arca Swiss mounts are commonly found on photography tripod heads, which allows you to mount your rifle on larger tripods for standing shots. Because there are no notches in the design, you can also slide the bipod or tripod head along the rail to balance it. Basically, arca spec is for high-end competition rifles that occasionally mount up to full-sized tripods, while non-arca is more common and usable on a lot more rifles that use standard Picatinny rails.

      @@dataykhan well you should try using full sentences and communicate a complete thought. I’m not a mind reader and you provided no context. A few things: A) As an authorized dealer we have a contractual obligation to not advertise below mandated Minimum Advertised Prices. Why OP is not adhering to this is unknown and will be reported to Accu-Tac tomorrow. B) Optics Planet has a bad habit of saying something is in stock when it’s not, so after you order they email you indicating this and that they expect to send you your order months down the road. We had a client contact us just today saying this and then ordering from us. We have integrity and don’t do business that way. C) If you use the discount code in the description of the video, that discount puts us in line with OP pricing and unlike them, if the site says it’s in stock, it is. Thanks, Gary

    • @paramounttactical
      @paramounttactical  Год назад

      I’m not sure what you mean here. When your gun is level your optic isn’t? If that’s the case then your optic was never level or it got knocked loose. The bipod doesn’t affect whether or not your optic is level. It can determine if your gun is level.
