Making a song using only the Moog Grandmother synth

  • I decided to do a challenge where I make a song using only one synth (Moog Grandmother in this case). I have to use it for drums, basses, leads, pads, etc. I added some vocals at the end, but that's the only thing that isn't from the Grandmother. Stay tuned til the end to hear the final song. #onesynthchallenge

The GM is cool cause it has USB MIDI so it doubles as a MIDI controller too. But using hardware synths is definitely more time consuming. I spent a lot of time making new tracks, routing MIDI and tracking audio (which I edited out of the video). I work much faster with soft synths. But hardware synths are nice to add occasional layers here and there.
