    You're over aggressive, and you need to kerb the diving from 2 car lengths back.
    Play silly games with people when racing and win stupid prizes and all that.
    They are the kind of moves that you see on the F1 games, but you see quickly that it'll stunt your progression until you nail the fundermentals.
    It's a game chess, not checkers.

    7:54 even if you're too deep in the braking, whenever you turn your wheel you want to release your braking enough. By staying down to the floor you went straight up to the grass.

    17:40 awful decision here not to just cautiously follow Mike. because of some off screen shenanigans, RC behind you went off and you had a nice gap to the next car, so just stay behind and follow to improve yourself and secure a nice and clean 5th place.

      my thoughts exactly. if your intention is to get promoted and SR is what your after you have to be patient and take what you can get by being less aggressive.

    And iam by far not the best racer with one hour in the evening as a Dad.
    It's fun so far.

    22:24 I don't have enough information with the glimpse you showed us here to tell what actually happened, but I have enough to tell that there's a chance he just wobbled his wheel, as you often do whenever you don't look staight ahead, as soon as you look in your mirror or your side screen, your wheel starts to wobble as you're overcorrecting your line.
    So yeah maybe intentional, but not enough data to firmly prove it.

    9:15 you turn your wheel way too much on that corner, and that causes understeer because you overcome the tyre grip capabilities.

    He did the same thing to you on lap 6. Most frustrating drivers on the service. If you are on a line that they want they will bump you until either you spin out, or both crash out. Dirttttttyyyyy.

    15:55 he never goes outside because he would travel much more distance and as it's not an F1 car with loads of downforce, it won't be able to carry enough speed to make up the time loss.

    unfortunately, to get c class in this season you will have to get a safety rating of 4 to instantly rank up, but other than that a really good video

    19:38 I'd say that in some way you deserved that. Because you drove aggressively behind him when there was no need to and made contact several times, it was certain he wouldn't give you any margin. And as he's 1.6k there's a lot of experience missing on his side to correctly estimate the room available. I can tell you that if you just followed him that would have never happened and you would have got that 3.00 SR.

    What ui are you using

  • @nickspacemonkey
    @nickspacemonkey Месяц назад +2

    I feel like you think there is a difference in driving standards between say Rookie and C licences. In reality there isn't. Irating is a measure of someones skill, not licence class. Someone can hold an A licence and be far worse or dangerous than you, a D class driver. The only thing a licence class does is unlock more cars to drive. (And give a false sense of progression for new players.)

    • @Rayz0268
      @Rayz0268 Месяц назад +2

      He wants C license so he can do more races lol, C class has tons of races that’s rookie and D don’t have

    • @TheNoviceRacerr
      @TheNoviceRacerr  Месяц назад

      Yeah, I see what you're saying. But it's also the fact that if they got to C Class, B Class, etc, they did that by racing cleanly and also have some experience. A rookie could be a guy in his first race, it's hard to know. You expect more from higher class drivers because they should know better, even if it's not always the case. 👍

    • @TheNoviceRacerr
      @TheNoviceRacerr  Месяц назад +1

      Absolutely right 😁 Although to be fair, I think Nick was referencing somewhere in the video where I said someone was a D Class driver so they should know when to overtake cleanly, or something like that ...

    Dude, sorry, but this crash is your fault. He had the racing line and it's a terrible idea to try to pass someone in the S's like that. His trajectory was into the S. Yours was into the wall. You had to move left to make the S, which exposes you and is dangerous for him in his position. If the red guy was me, I would have reported you.

    • @TheNoviceRacerr
      @TheNoviceRacerr  Месяц назад +2

      Have to disagree, as i explained in the video, i was already ahead into the S's so I actually had the corner. Also, just because it's a bad idea to pass doesn't make it illegal - the contact was still his fault. I could've played it differently to avoid it too, but my move was fine to make. And his trajectory was to the wall, mine was to the kerb, he's turning right through a left hander. Makes no sense

    • @thehumblepundit9790
      @thehumblepundit9790 Месяц назад +2

      @@TheNoviceRacerr I was a steward for an ACC league, dude. You had no business trying to pass him. "Doesn't make it illegal" is not the right mindset. If you were in a real race car and tried to do what you did, the fallout would have been on you. The crash was your fault. Suck it up and learn from your mistake. Too many people who Sim Race are negligent in actual race craft. Don't be one of them. You are still a "noviceracerr". You have a lot to learn, besides just going fast.

    • @kyletheidiot
      @kyletheidiot 29 дней назад +2

      @@thehumblepundit9790 - I would have loved to be in whatever league you're claiming you were a steward in. Any 'steward' worth their medal would first understand the context of Mike running wide into the sand. When a car is that far off pace to recover. It's a bog-standard overtake.
      Novice, don't buy what this person is selling; people make perfectly clean passes on the S's constantly. This is thanks to the spotters, racecraft, and respect typical racers would give. Mike didn't. He turned right, maybe recovering some grip; but that at best is a racing incident, and would far more commonly be a disqualification in any league.
      There were many places to improve on, in particular your hairpins, but that crash was absolutely not your fault.
