Very well done. thank you. And so grateful to be seen so accurately... it helps me to accept myself... sometimes I can feel so alone and misunderstood, we truly do see the world from a different lenz
Although mostly true, the video seems to be based on general information and stereotypes rather than personal experience, which is typical of videos in this genre. I'm not sure if most INFJ's would be interested in working for healthcare, for instance, given how hospitals, at least in the US, care more about profit than actually helping people. Also, with mental health stuff in general, I personally wouldn't work being a counselor because of all the potential policies that may require me to break confidentiality or whatnot. I personally wouldn't even go to counseling now because of the things I mentioned, and many more unmentioned. As for working with nonprofits, if it aligned with an INFJ's beliefs, maybe, but I wouldn't bother because of the potential for corruption or shady stuff to happen within a group of people I don't know. I really need to know someone before I could trust them enough to work with them, especially on something that I believe in.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and concerns. I appreciate you taking the time to engage with the content and express your perspective so openly. I completely understand where you’re coming from, especially regarding the challenges and complexities within certain industries like healthcare and mental health. It’s true that many INFJs, or individuals in general, may feel conflicted about working in environments where their core values, such as trust and genuine care for others, could be compromised. The drive to help others and make a difference can often be at odds with the realities of certain workplaces, which can be disheartening. Your point about working with nonprofits is also very valid. Trust is crucial, especially for INFJs who deeply value authenticity and integrity in their work. The idea of joining a cause that aligns with one’s beliefs is powerful, but the fear of encountering corruption or unethical practices can be a significant barrier. Finding environments where you feel safe, understood, and aligned with the mission is important. I can see how these concerns might make certain career paths less appealing, and I empathize with your hesitation. It’s clear that you’ve thought deeply about these issues, and your insights are incredibly valuable. I hope that, despite these challenges, you can find or create spaces where your ideals are honored and where you can contribute in ways that feel right to you. Thanks again for your thoughtful comment-it adds much depth to the conversation. I’m always here to listen and learn from different perspectives, and I hope we can continue to explore these important topics together.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you pointing that out! I included that fact in both the title and the video because I thought it was a key point worth emphasizing. Unfortunately, I can't edit this video without deleting and re-uploading it to RUclips, but I’ll definitely keep your feedback in mind for future videos. Thanks again for watching!

Because there has been a glorification of the infj - even though I can tell you depression and isolation are the most prevalent feelings I have for my empathy. It's not fun, it isn't amazing or cool, its awkward and hard to navigate the world as one, but without being able to readily identify as one because of the target you become. Absorbing emotions and caring for others more than yourself, perfectionism rules everything, and you never feel like you belong or thst you are understood or valued, no matter how true or untrue it is. Imagine feeling responsible for everything broken without any authority to do much to fix it. Being an infj in the world today is hard, lonely and depressive. And there is no place to go to escape the chaos in the outside world. Without a place to reflect, we rot from the inside out. Doesn't sound too amazing anymore does it? It isn't. It is a burden i would never have agreed to - even though I take it with great seriousness every day. Imagine playing a game by the rules - to the T - unless they are immoral, only to find every other player is not playing by any of the rules. You realize you stand no chance in the world, but are unable to bend your integrity to play by the rules others play by - or don't play by.
@@CerridwenAwel I also wonder the same, more so over recent weeks. I think that percentage is reflective of the % of people who officially get typed, through an accredited psychiatrist/psychologist...the ones who pay into the system basically. It doesn't even try to account for the large number of people who never type, or type through less "official" methods.
@@dix_pack_of_sixie He isn't us and doesn't get it! Jealous, like most, because we're rare; having analytical skills, compassion, empathy, honesty, higher standards, intuition, keen observation, perfectionism, long term goal orientation and vision few posses and thereby are often envied, resented and targeted. It's a very lonely life being a 1-2% er who can't 'fit in' this superficial society.

This is the very reason my parents told me not to go into psychology. So I write code instead. It works well since I work from home.

Eh, I have some doubts about that. I've never seen anyone talking about the MTBI that doesn't declare themselves as INFJ. INFJ is everywhere

@dix_pack_of_sixie sounds like me alright.. everything you say rings home to me. But I still think it's not as rare as otherwise we're led to believe.
