No Rocket, no cakes, no coffee = video fail. Congratulations on the win! Loved the commentary. Really want to give the Xc racing ago, may go and try a Procaliber after intervals in the morning. All the best
Yeehaw, great job Georgio! Racing from the front is hard, much easier psychologically to be in 2nd and chasing. I see your point about the roots. Never done a flat MTB race like that. Here in Utah even some of our CX races have much more climbing than that. The course made for some fast times no doubt.
It’s always nice chasing and having the carrot dangling but feels even better when you can hold on to the lead 👌 you definitely have the climbs in Utah… would love to ride there one day. We tend to only have short climbs in the Uk and my race this weekend is one of the hilly courses but still won’t have any super long climbs, thankfully 😂
Omg! Well done George! Such a great effort. So pleased to see you analyzing what is happening and acting on it from race to race. Just think how this is going to help you in XC season. You will have to have a chat with the Maggot!
Thanks and it’s super helpful watching it back and seeing the footage to break down where I need to improve/work on 👌 that’s the last time the maggot will get in front this year 😜😂
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling your be fine, I spectated their last year and there were quite a few HT's racing so your send it on the decents. The berms there are just perfect 👌
hello giorrgio! i think the problem is, its just line choice, youre not carrying much speed during the exit of turns. have a look at scott guys entrance and exit and how he speed up during exits. GREAT JOB CLOSING THE GAP EVERY TIME !!!
Probably right, still a lot of work to do in the singletrack… Ben in the Scott kit is extremely good technically which makes it look even worse 😂 it’s good to know I can shut the gap down but there is only so many times you can do it before the legs say no 😬
During this race I was using schwabble racing Ralph/racing Ray combo but I have now switched to Vittoria mezcals and will be running them all of next year 👌
100% my gym work has been neglected over the last few months as are garage gym has been a building site 😅 but definitely need to get back on my strength program 👌
Your videos are a breath of fresh air. Awesome, well done on the win 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you 🙌
Great coverage and commentary. I can now show my family what we put ourselves through!👏👏
😂 they will now wonder why an earth you put yourself through it 😂
I love how you say - have the confidence - stay with them.
Really enjoy the commentary on your races,! I love to hear what you were thinking at each part of the course,. 👍 Well done again on your win! ⭐🥇
Thanks Julie… As a bonus I’m normally thinking “wow this hurts, why do I put myself through this” 😂
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling 🤣👌 love it! 😍
Congratulations!! Well done! You are inspiring me to go harder !
🙌
I agree with this. Your vids are simply inspiring me to go! Great motivation for an older hobby mbker to improve fitness.

😂😂 will have the rocket on commentary on the next one 😬😂
100% give XC racing a go it’s fun… once you get over the pin of going full gas 😂
Wow man you are flying . Keeping your heart rate up for so long is insane

Mate, my hearth rate was going absolutely bonkers watching this 😂😂
You and me both… that one hurt 😂
Congratulations ! Keep up the hard work

Solid win!
The hard work is paying off🥵👍
Absoluty loved it mate on a dark damp cold night in the pain cave ......just what i needed.... Have a sub
🙌 glad it made the turbo time a little more enjoyable!
Glad you didn’t end up blowing your biscuit!
Awesome video my guy!🎉
Loved the video xx
I love your little phrases... Blow my biscuit, Bonk 😂
😂
awesome well done mate - pin it from the start and hold on - it worked :) unlucky Ben, you were making G look good towing him around ;)
100% just got to keep doing it now 😬
Haha it was lucky he had that mechanical, I was about to drop him 😜
Great stuff!
Top win Giorgio. Win for me to as you didn't lap me on this one😂. Good luck at Woodys. Unfortunately I can't make that one
😂 we didn’t lap many riders I think the speed was just to high for everyone 😅 thanks it’s going to be a lot different to this one 😬

Oooohhhh did you win a MTB XC race ? I never heard of it 😋😋
Wasn’t sure if I mentioned it 😜😂
Great video! What tires are you using for dry conditions? Cheers
During this race I was using schwabble racing Ralph/racing Ray combo but I have now switched to Vittoria mezcals and will be running them all of next year 👌
That was fun
Awesome race. Can I ask how you get the heart rate and speed on the video? This would be a great training tool for my son
I use an app called garmin virb 👌
Did your couch ever say anything about getting gapped off? I seem to have a similar problem
Nope never heard of it
Fantastic footage and commentary. How often are you changing gears?
Thank you and honestly I have no idea but I would love to know as I am constantly changing gear… it’s got to be close to 100 times a lap 🤔
I'm like you, I struggle anywhere else but the single track. Need to work on my fitness. Any recommendations?
For me over/under efforts and hot lap sessions can be super helpful for my training 👌
Yee-haw!
A lot of roots and the camera doesn’t show how bad. well done great result
100% the camera never does it justice… it’s the same when you go up a steep climb, the GoPro makes it look flat 😅
Maybe you need to get some squats in George to increase your power on the straights
100% my gym work has been neglected over the last few months as are garage gym has been a building site 😅 but definitely need to get back on my strength program 👌
Surprised you could walk after that lol.
It was a tough one… any sudden moves and I could feel the legs cramping 😂
You guys hauling ass! ❤
🐓 🍽️ 😋
How many miles is it in total?
30 km 👍
i have ben on won of your vidoes
