I love how you put the highway signs in the corner to know exactly when the route begins, ends and where you are driving. Also in 4k, you have hit the nail on the head on how to do a driving video. I've been fortunate to drive this route a few times, the scenery is beautiful. I also drove U.S. 93 before Interstate 11 was implemented and Interstate 11 is a dream compared to everyone going through Boulder on U.S. 93 when it was the only way. I remember being a bit annoyed with the traffic lol. @1:10 it was smart that they made it so you cannot see the Hoover Dam from the freeway, I was looking for the dam the first time, annoyed I could not see it then thought maybe it's better to have eyes on the road.
Since I likely will not be able to head out this way; the views are something and the roads are improving fast. NDOT is getting all the signage straightened out: I-11 concurs with I-515 for a bit further; to I-15. US 93 goes north with I-15; US 95 goes north with I-11 through the city, and (for now) end at Mercury, northwest of Vegas. The plan is for I-11 to run from Phoenix to Reno (for now, and then further north), but it's going to take some time (and lots of money) to get through the mountains.
@@MileageMikeTravels Agreed, but if business, trucking and Vegas interests all get behind it, it probably will get done. They want more routes out there.
You need to do a night ride from out in the desert, into the valley. It's so dark, then you come through the pass, the whole valley lights up. I-15 South, from the northeast is the best.
I-11 could go north from Las Vegas to Spokane Washington, via US-95, US-95 Alternate, NV-208, and US-395 in Nevada, serving Las Vegas, Indian Springs, Beatty, Goldfield, Tonopah, Hawthorne, Yerington, Gardnerville-Minden, Carson City, and Reno, then I-11 will continues on US-395 through Susanville and Alturas California, then CA-139, then US-97 through Oregon through the cities of Klamath Falls, Bend, Redmond, and The Dalles where I-84 met. I-11 will run concurrently with I-84 to Hermiston Oregon, then I-11 run concurrently with I-82 between Hermiston Oregon to Kennewick Washington. I-11 will run concurrently with US-395 for 100 miles between I-82 in Kennewick Washington to I-90 in Ritzville Washington (about 60 miles southwest of Spokane Washington).
What did you think of that view when coming over the hill and into the Vegas valley? Imo one of the best views when entering a city. When you come over the hill at night, the whole city is a blanket of lights.
If you're cat was wrapped you coil get a contract just driving with advertising allover you vehicle. That looks like an amazing drive. So smooth and beautiful.
gotta love the skyline view around 18:55
I haven't driven it, but I-11 looks very scenic.
I think you have the most up to date drive of I11. Awesome
I always loved the natural area around L.V. much better than the city itself. Loved the I-11 drive, Mike.

The view going southbound is better in that area I'd say.
@@MileageMikeTravels you are correct sir. Views look stunning, like another planet.
dont quite remember the road we took, when i rode with ben,in 05,that might have been it, at any rate, welcome to las vegas mike,😊
I knew this is how you would complete the Kingman-Las Vegas segment!

The part between Las Vegas and Reno would definitely be one of the most desolate stretches of interstate in the country if they build it.

I heard there planning on expanding this interstate all the way up to Canada thru several states
I got to ride this road a few months back when I was here along with 515 but not I-15
Mileage Mike made his way to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area. 👍🏾👍🏾
Yes Sir Indeed Luv It ❤️🔥🥰❤️💙🖤 1:10

You went there right when I-515 became I-11

Definitely one of the best views from a highway entering a city. Didn't get to see it at night yet.
Rip 515
This reminds me of getting White Castle
nevada forgot to put an i-11 shield at 34:23
Mike are you fin to gamble when u in Las Vegas
I Definitely Luv To See That Happening But I Doubt It 2:20
Never really been into gambling. Work too hard for my money so the possibility of losing it with nothing to show for it never sat too well with me.
