Hey rcnightmare, I hope everything is ok with you guys, I know I heard Squirrels latest podcast and I had no clue what was going on. I really wish you both the best, and hope all is going well. I would like to thank you for all that you have done for the RC community. Orc.
@YukonDoItMan No you must waterproof or "water resist" the equipment first. Motor on axle trucks are a little more suseptable to water and mud because of the location of the motor. Try at your own risk!
if ur looking to upgrade your truck- suspension, chassis etc go for the max stone but if you want a crawler for competition go for the mad torque.. but it will need upgrades like tires and motor
this crawler is good for beginers and has alot of crawling power, slow but powerfull. And i think it is the cheapest ive seen for a good solid crawler. I would recomend getting it :)
Sounds like you need to program/reprogram your esc. Or the transmitter settings for the throttle control, You'll need to refer to the instructions that came w/ the model. Or if your transmitter is using 2.4 Ghz you probably just need to "bind" your trans and receiver. Again check the instructions. Other than that imho, The best thing to do would be to take your model to a hobby shop and ask them to help you.
I love this crawler! The only problem I can find with it is the turning radius is horrible! Also, it's so large that it can be hard to find a challenging rock pile.
Hi Brandon, great job with your videos and reviews! Can you pls tell why the Mad Torque is considered an "entry level", even thought it has 2x motors and aluminium chassis? In what do you think this model might be "worse" than for ex. Losi Night Crawler? Thanks a lot!
the mad torque is awesome for the price. love mine comes with waterproof electronics even though they dont advertise it. fun anywhere you go and it floats and will paddle itself across the water. cant go wrong for the money
That is the exceed version of the fs-gt2. But it is more expensive because of the 4 battery thing. Venom also sells it under their name for $50 but hobbypartz has it for $19 + $5 shipping
I just got one of these so far awsome the only problem ive ran into is the plastic steering knuckles i broke one already but the ax10 knuckles fit right on and i ordered them off of ebay for pretty cheap im going to add the rear steering then it should be even better and for for the speed questions its a crawler so its not fast at all i can walk kinda fast and keep up with it but the name says it all it has a ton of torque
@backintack Honestly...now that exceed has gone 2.4ghz they are not bad for the price. You can't touch an 1/8 crawler for $200 much less RTR. We've had a blast with this thing and no issues at all.
Brushed uses brushes to power the motor and needs breaking in, brushless uses magnets to power the motor, it is water proof from what I know and does not need breaking in.
hi guys great video,i m from brasil and great fans of your videos,do you think its great for beginner or is better spend more money and take a losi night crawler?thanks guys
@rcflightschool I have been reading alot of peoples complaints of not being able to find any parts in stock..nonetheless being able to find upgrades..do you honestly recommend buying this truck or the Max Stone 8..or just put in another $100 and get a popular name brand truck?
Why would you need a external cut-off. What would it do? I just bought one and should be here tomorow and looking into putting my lipo in their. Please respond
hey how long does a battery last on one of them. what do you think is better. rock crawler or a nitro truck. it is not for rock crawlering its just wich is better
Nice crawler for the money. I did need to replace the servo horn with alum one. Other than that and weighting the front I didn't NEED to do anything else. I did replace the esc for a novak rooster crawler for the lipo cut out, if I could buy it again I would and just use a lipo cut out.
@YukonDoItMan yup plenty of upgrades out there as this thing runs all standard R/C equipment. And honestly, with rock crawling there's no limit to the modding =]
Good vid, now be advised parts availability is very limited for these rigs. Most LHS do not carry ExCeed rc for the simple fact they are a low end hobby grade RC. If you ar looking to run this or compete know that you most likely not be able to run against most other rigs due to the size. A 7.2 3500mah battery on a single 540 sized brushed 1/10 scale crawler will last about an hour or so. This is MUCH larger and is running twin motors with much more weight and mass to run. My guess would be abo
is that a losi scte in the backround on the far left of the bottom shelf. i have one with a 4 pull mamba max with a 5300 3 cell battery. it does 80 mph
@113098Nico i have a 1/10th sunfire buggy i upgraded to brushless....havent really had anything wrong with it...burned my motor with a lipo so i upgraded to brushless...
Looks awesome..I really liek the look..I think I'm going to ask the wife if I can get one..LOL! ! One question are there upgrades out there for it..as far and shocks, shafts, motors?
@HANENG18 But looking at international shipping, there's only one option from NitroRCX, and it's $117 to the UK, so makes the truck $276 to your door. £166, STILL very cheap!!!
no its not watter proof but you can easlaly watterproof it take a look at my mudding video this is a verry nice crawler i used a small tubaware dish for all my electronics and siliconed around it. works awsum
@TheBrushlessracer because not everyone has the cash to drop on an axial...its important to remember we try and help as many people as we can and for $150 this would be a good amount of fun for people
what is better the summit or the the made tork if you you want to have a good truck but my problem is that i don't have enof money for a racing truck and the croling truck because i am only 12 years old and i ovisly don't have a job yet but i love rc trucks and my friend matt and by the way my name is tyler right now i have a 1/16 losi minny buggy and my friend has a stamped and me and him are looking at trucks and we want to. looking for a up grade from what we have
can anyone here tell me what the outer diameter of the tires on this beast are. im looking at it for a large scale trail truck build. im hoping they are around 140mm. since thats what i need to fit the escalade body ill be working with. any help would be apreciated
Minus all the crap i just said........ this thing is unstoppable. I did the 4 wheel steering upgrade and the metal parts are good so far. Like i said before, if this was supported better I bet they would sell alot of them. I climb over my friends axials for more then less the money, but i do have more headaches.
Got the orange one. If you take the foam out of the tires and put BB's from a BB gun in the front tire and none in the back. It really grips.
Hey rcnightmare, I hope everything is ok with you guys, I know I heard Squirrels latest podcast and I had no clue what was going on. I really wish you both the best, and hope all is going well. I would like to thank you for all that you have done for the RC community.
Orc.
I've had mine for 2 months, I love it! I added a 2nd frame to stretch it to 1/5th scale!!
@YukonDoItMan No you must waterproof or "water resist" the equipment first. Motor on axle trucks are a little more suseptable to water and mud because of the location of the motor. Try at your own risk!
Lol alot of people are asking how fast,, it depends on gearing, and its a rock crawler too me its suppose to be slow and high on torque
if ur looking to upgrade your truck- suspension, chassis etc go for the max stone but if you want a crawler for competition go for the mad torque.. but it will need upgrades like tires and motor
this crawler is good for beginers and has alot of crawling power, slow but powerfull. And i think it is the cheapest ive seen for a good solid crawler. I would recomend getting it :)

im debating to get this or the MadTorque 6x6
What's the difference between the MaxStone and the max torque 1/8 scale thanks good video
@YukonDoItMan yea it would be fine, but you will want to do some water proofing and clean it up afterwards
I have the maxstone 10 love it . buying the blue mad stone tomorrow.. hoping for another great crawler
Thanks a lot!
you can and it will last over an hour. you can get a smaller one.
you might need alipo LVC idk if the esc has one
@niceNcrispy83 it actually does have quite a few options available
Will you guys do any running videos for this truck?
the mad torque is awesome for the price. love mine comes with waterproof electronics even though they dont advertise it. fun anywhere you go and it floats and will paddle itself across the water. cant go wrong for the money
That is the exceed version of the fs-gt2. But it is more expensive because of the 4 battery thing. Venom also sells it under their name for $50 but hobbypartz has it for $19 + $5 shipping
You can actually put a rear servo for rear steering.
Hey Brandon/Jeremy, did it by any chance come with any tools? Like a wheel nut wrench?
Would this truck or the Max Stone 8 be safe to run through water, or a mud bog?
I just got one of these so far awsome the only problem ive ran into is the plastic steering knuckles i broke one already but the ax10 knuckles fit right on and i ordered them off of ebay for pretty cheap im going to add the rear steering then it should be even better and for for the speed questions its a crawler so its not fast at all i can walk kinda fast and keep up with it but the name says it all it has a ton of torque

im thinking of starting rock crawling what crawler would be suitable for a first crawler
Brushed uses brushes to power the motor and needs breaking in, brushless uses magnets to power the motor, it is water proof from what I know and does not need breaking in.
hi guys great video,i m from brasil and great fans of your videos,do you think its great for beginner or is better spend more money and take a losi night crawler?thanks guys

how much run time do you get out of the stock battery and is it a standerd plug
hey how long does a battery last on one of them. what do you think is better. rock crawler or a nitro truck. it is not for rock crawlering its just wich is better

Can't wait till I get mine!!
@YukonDoItMan yup plenty of upgrades out there as this thing runs all standard R/C equipment. And honestly, with rock crawling there's no limit to the modding =]
That thing is hooked up. For the price, u get ALOT... Im not an exceed fan, but that thing has got a ton of goodies.
Good vid, now be advised parts availability is very limited for these rigs. Most LHS do not carry ExCeed rc for the simple fact they are a low end hobby grade RC. I should b getting it. Can't wait. 1st ever rock crawler
when will the video between this, the axial xr and ax 10 compete?
is that a losi scte in the backround on the far left of the bottom shelf. i have one with a 4 pull mamba max with a 5300 3 cell battery. it does 80 mph
@xxgg there is a huge market out there for this type of crawler/RC...not everyone has the dough to drop and its a great spot for people to start.
@113098Nico i have a 1/10th sunfire buggy i upgraded to brushless....havent really had anything wrong with it...burned my motor with a lipo so i upgraded to brushless...
What do you recommend for rock crawling. Madstone or Mad torque?
Hello? Can it handle high speed?? Or will it just flip if you go over 20 mph???
Loooks great!, I almost have the urge to get one of these just to mess around with. Sod paying 3 times as much for a comp crawler
This is a really good rock crawler I have one and I love I strongly recommend this crawler
@BRUINS307 We havent touched this thing yet in terms of maintenance. Just keep it clean!
How do you raise it? With the adjustable links?
where do u get it from and how much coz i wanna know if they have them in perth and if not were and how much.
Looks awesome..I really liek the look..I think I'm going to ask the wife if I can get one..LOL! ! One question are there upgrades out there for it..as far and shocks, shafts, motors?
I was thinking this would be a great investment. Thank you for the overview
what are all the parts u need to make it all wheel steer?
@backintack have you actually "owned" one....we haven't and thus maybe we will agree but we'd rather check them out for ourselves..
@HANENG18 But looking at international shipping, there's only one option from NitroRCX, and it's $117 to the UK, so makes the truck $276 to your door. £166, STILL very cheap!!!
no its not watter proof but you can easlaly watterproof it take a look at my mudding video this is a verry nice crawler i used a small tubaware dish for all my electronics and siliconed around it. works awsum
@rcnightmare should i get a e maxx a summit or a stampede 4x4
thnx i was looking for something to rock crawl with and i just wasn't sure what to get
will i still be ok if i put the TEKIN FX-R ESC and the 55T MOTOR that comes with the ESC or i'll be making the truck worse?

@TheBrushlessracer because not everyone has the cash to drop on an axial...its important to remember we try and help as many people as we can and for $150 this would be a good amount of fun for people
