    Wow u guys really have a cool shop!!! I always base how much I trust an archery shop for their advice on my bow by how their shop looks n how they carry themselves.Watching this video at the beginning I can see the shop is highly detailed and the employees look like they take alot of pride in themself and in their work! It's a perfect example of how Mathews dealers are an extension of the Mathews Archery company!Awesome!!!

    I’m still shooting my halon6 it gets the job done well . I was at the archery shop couple nights ago and looked at both of these bows . Don’t get me wrong but a $1000 to up grade to what ? Shoot what’s comforting to you weather it’s a $200 set up or a $1200 set up. Comfortable and knowing your equipment well will make you a more confident and successful shooter .

    Went to my local outfitter yesterday shot my Triax side by side with the dealers new Vertix and unless I am missing something I didn’t notice any difference in the shot vibration or sound the techs and two other customers agreed they didn’t notice a real difference as far as sound at the shot. the draw weight mod system really is no interest for me once I set my draw weight it’s done I dont go back and forth. the grip feels nice but i am one of those that likes the flatback grip! With all that said By no means am I knocking the new bow it’s great but it’s NOT worth upgrading from the Triax Just one whitetail hunters opinion

    I'm sorry the review loses all credibility right around 11:17 mark with the honest opinion about the Triax being over rated with respects to hand vibration. Please go back and watch your Triax review from a year ago specifically around the 4:12 mark where you mentioned how the Triax is "absolutely dead in the hands". These review frustrate the hell out of me, as soon as the new bow drops last years bow suddenly has all these problems.

      @primetimeoutdoors382 6 лет назад

      Vicente Calvo I don’t think you can say he loses all credibility. There are certain bows that have gotten better with vibration specifically the rx3 compared to rx1. Mathews actually is claiming 20percent less vibration out of the vertix then the triax. I personally think they are both dead in the hand. The new grip is hands down amazing. The draw is different with the weights. Definitely try it out. Ileither u like it or love it. This is a good review. Keep it up guys!

      Could also be one of those things where you think something is great until something better comes out and your like dern this is even better. Also his statement was its a little overrated so I would say it’s a product of new and better. Not busting balls brother just wanted to maybe show a different side of it.

      Pacific Northwest Nomad Give aways soon!!! I agree a hundred percent I have a triax myself. I put that UltraView module grip it really helped. The new grip is very nice on the new Mathews.

    Would you consider rebuilding a NO CAM HTR or spend the money for the Traverse? I have a riser for the NO CAM (given to me for free) and I'm stuck in the weighing of the Pros and Cons.

    How does the Mathews QAD rest stay in the dovetail? Is it set screws pressed against the riser or are there screws screwed into the riser?

    • @FingonNarmolanya
      @FingonNarmolanya 6 лет назад +1

      It pinches onto the riser with elevation adjustment screw being the one responsible for that.
      PS. Check out Archery Talk vid on the Vertix, that's where i got that info from.

    What is the weight of the first arrow thru the chrono? At first firstborn you said it was a 466 then thru the chrono it was a 462gr arrow. Not that it will matter one percent in the real world but just curious. Some of these comments on here from guys that have never posted up a single review kill me. Good job on the review.

      I have always lived by the belief that if you are going to criticize someone you should be willing to be step up and show how you feel it should be done correctly. Easy to try and tear something down, especially if you haven’t put forth at least equal effort to make something better.

    Why do people do reveiws using a bow that isnt tuned yet?... there is not way to actually test what it really is going to feel like cuz like he said, just the cams being out of synce can cuase vibration thats not normally there.. so how can u judge its vibration and noise without first making sure it is set up correctly?

  • @chanceterrill5346
    @chanceterrill5346 6 лет назад +1

    It's funny to me that Matthew's commonly runs about half inch long on draw length which gives the bow an extra 5 fps and despite this an Ibo of 338 the traverse is hitting 305 and the realm ss which on comfort ibos at 327 is at 300 so if u subtract the extra 5 fps giving by half inch extra of draw and flipped the bowtech to performance it would be 10 fps faster the the traverse with the same Ibo. And in Comfort exactly the same real life speed with a much lower Ibo. All that aside. The biggest selling point to me. Despite how smooth the ss draws is the flexibility of the bowtechs without having to go to a pro shop if u have an Allen wrench u can change draw length and say ur Hunting dangerous game. U can flip the disc n get more speed. All the bows now seem pretty equal. To say mathews is way better than hoyt or Bowtech shoots better than mathews is kind of silly. So at this point it seems you just pick the closest dealer or the bow with ur favorite camo.... The only real bonuses I see are Pse and bowtechs flexibility in their cams I also like that u can tune the cam by twisting the yokes which is available with no extra purchase as opposed to other systems that require u to buy spacers or shims to tune......

    I was just thinking the other day about what a pain in the ass it is to turn the limb bolts to adjust the weight. Then Matthews comes out with this wonderful system where you change the modules to change the weight. I mean, I'm changing the shit out of my draw weight all the time so this will be awesome. I'm gonna have a bandolier made to carry around my switch weight mods just in case I need them for some extra power or lower power while I'm in the field. I'm glad the bows only FEEL lighter, too... because Matthews are by far the best bow for bludgeoning things.

  • @dristonlouis

    I think that every review on new bows has a bias, especially since every pro shop have employees that use one brand of bows over the other. Personally I think this review had a major bias, he didn’t sound too enthusiastic about the bows while being very nitpicky, which is understandable, not much has changed, I think they should stay on a technical standpoint and recommend to shoot the bow for yourself because that’s what’s ultimately going to make the decision for you and make another video about their personal opinion on the bow. I think everything about the Mathews were similar to previous models. They make new features to always improve, I upgraded from the triax to the vertix for the higher poundage(I hunt Elk and Mule Deer), and that the grip fits my shooting style perfectly. Otherwise I would’ve stayed with the triax, both of them are awesome bows but it took me shooting to decide and this is the only year I’ve upgraded back to back. Usually I wait 3-4 years. Not to mention I am on a budget when buying a bow. I would love to own a Hoyt because it’s a awesome bow as well, just the price always steers me away. Although I know I’d be paying for quality.

    I don't give a shit about mods to change weight. I'll buy a 70 pound bow and if I want to 60 pounds, I'll just rotate the limb bolts. What I want is a rotating mod to change draw lengths. Who the hell wants to buy new mods at 50 to 80 dollars a pop? And this deal on the dovetail for the rest, yeah $250 for a rest that I can buy on amazon for under 100 dollars without the dovetail, no thanks Mathews.

      Wireline .Cables If I want a 29” draw I’ll get a 29” draw bow why would you need to ever change your draw length? Your draw length doesn’t change?

      Hoyt can't touch Mathews. No they are different riser is thinner and grip is machined differently angle. Mathews will smoke hoyt. Mathews are dead in the hand. There is no vibration or sound period.
