Thanks for all the info. I’m trying to setup my own traverse and I’m having the same issue with basically being a quarter turn off with cam timing. Any tips on getting it perfect? Tia
Sorry for the late reply. Yes there is a fix.. It is hard to explain through text tho.. LOL.. You basically take the yolk and either twist or untwist one of them just a little.. It takes some tinkering but it is doable.
Nice build! How do you compare the Halon X vs the Traverse? Is the Halon X is still a good 3D / Targer (crossover) bow? Accuracy, draw cycle, shootability? Thanks.
Michel M. I like the grip a lot better on the traverse. Other than that they are basically the same bow with the traverse just slightly shorter ata. Either would be a good crossover bow.
Great video. You have a sweet DIY setup and it's obvious from watching that you know what your doing. I have a Vertix (which is awesome), but I've been looking more and more at the Traverse. I have a 29.5-30 draw length and I may like the longer ATA bow. I think I am going to get into the shop I go to and try one and see. The reason I didn't before I bought the Vertix was because I am a LH shooter and they didn't have any in stock at the time. Anyhow, why do you remove the monkey tails? Do they not help at all?
Hey thanks. I am really liking my traverse. I take the monkey tails off for 2 reasons. #1 I shoot a pretty heavy arrow so my bow is already really quiet. #2 they seem to wear out and break pretty quickly and by removing them you will gain a few feet per second. So I don’t want to be in the middle of a hunt and have one break or fall off and then my sight tape is 2-3 seconds off. Glad you liked the video. I am gonna try to keep making them lol
That was 👍 guess you quit doing more😟
How should the fingers be on the press when pressing the Traverse
How should the limbs on the LCA press be when pressing the bow?
They should be flat against the limbs. I like mathews bows they have notches on the limbs for the arms of the press .
